Where is the health department. This place is so dirty. Your shoes stick to the floor! Even a dead fish in the fish tank. The staff is so terrible, rude, and dirty looking too. I gave this place a second chance, we walked out… This place should be closed down.

Food is ok, if you can tolerate the nasty, rude, staff. Every person that is up front is is incredibly miserable. And you can’t understand a single word that they’re saying. Very annoying. Not worth your time or money.
My favorite and first choice for Chinese food in this town! I eat there frequently and the food is always great!

Chinese food is ok. I have to be in the mood for it though. It was good overall. Clean and reasonable prices.

Tried to order for lunch one time. Called a day ahead and the person on the phone ensured me they’d be open; however, when I called the next day, no answer! Recently had take out from China Star II in Shrub Oak. I’m assuming it’s the same owner? Ordered moo shoo pork and could barely eat it on account of so much salt! Will not order from here again.

Cheap, low quality Chinese take out. It’s fast, it’s cheap, it’s generic — nothing special really. Reviewing it purely on merits alone it’s more of a 1.5, but as far as cheap and speedy take out places go it’s pretty much par for the course. Sweet sauces without any major depth of flavor, faux fried rice, occasional sketchy pieces of meat. You know what you’re getting for a 6 dollar lunch special.

As a transplant from Brooklyn I have moderately high standards for my local take out Chinese restaurant. China Star’s food is mediocre best. They do well only because some similar restaurants in Yorktown are even worse! The absolute worst thing about this place is the sometimes rude service you receive depending on who takes your order. There is this one woman… Do yourself a favor find another Chinese restaurant or better yet try some Mexican cuisine. Cervezas por favor!

Good take out food, selection is great. First time for pineapple chicken, it was great. Had it 3 more times and the same every time. The other night I tried the moo shu pork. The pancakes were soft tortilla rounds, the plum/hoisin sauce was different than any other and the moo shu tasted different than any other. I had 1 serving and saved the rest for lunch for my husband the next day, he could not eat it either. He had Gen Tsao’s chicken that was great. I will stick to the pineapple chicken!

Ate here based on Unilocal, extremely disappointed that we did. Menu no different than any other pedestrian Chinese restaurant, but prepared with a few dollops more of corn starch than usual. Chicken in both our dishes had a texture that made us wonder if we had finally encountered«meat glue.» And what’s with the refusal to serve us a glass of tap water, insisting we had to support the plastic and the garbage industries by purchasing bottled water? We would give this place 1 star except for the fact that the veggies were not over cooked in my or my wife’s dishes. That’s really the only positive we could identify.

This take out Chinese Restuarant is excellent and the best take out in Yorktown Heights! I dine weekly with take out or eat in. The service is great, staff is so friendly and very clean!

This place is the most consistent Chinese food in Yorktown. Open till 10 most nights. All standard take-out dishes are prepared consistently. They will put less oil in food to make it less greasy upon request, and add or subtract ingredients as well.. .although make sure to have them read back the order to confirm it as they are often crowded with take out orders around dinner time. Not particularly authentic Chinese food, but certainly delicious and available promptly and inexpensively.

This place quite honestly is fantastic. The crew is great, never faltered on any order I’ve placed in the last three years. I have grandparents from FL that request this any time they come up to visit. Not greasy, not expensive, and not cool if you don’t visit it
