My evening was perfect. They have a all from scratch kitchen. The waitress was quick to tell me what farm the food came from or the style in which a specific kind of past is made. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone. BYOB at the moment.

Finally had an opportunity to eat here and it was fantastic. I enjoyed the house salad and beef tartare for lunch and both were amazing. Looking forward to trying dinner here soon! Ambiance and décor are awesome. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been waiting to write this review for years. York has been looking for an «Italian» restaurant like this for a long time. One with an eye on tradition and a focus on contemporary and local ideas. When I ate there early last year, Tutoni’s hadn’t hit their stride yet. With two dedicated owners, Tony and Toni, they have put a great eating establishment on the York map. My wife and I ate there tonight and were very impressed with the service, which was outstanding but the food was great too. We started with a Monkfish crudo, Delicious! followed by a Parsnip soup and Ragu Bolognese over house made pasta, Outstanding! Then came a Risotto with truffles, Wonderful! and we finished with Seafood pot pie with several types of fish in a puffed pie shell and an(off the menu) Timpano with a house made marinara sauce dotted with pesto, Spectacular! What a great meal. Thanks for being in York Tu Tony/Toni

Great find! Delightful waitress, delicious food, great atmosphere and loved the fact they are BYOB — our favorite kind of places but hard to find these days.

Dined there 3 times for dinner. All 3 times have been an amazing experience. My wife and I got to talk with the owner and they are doing some really awesome things, especially for a city like York. Highly recommended for someone looking for some fine dining and an incredible and delicious meal. They’re in the process of getting their liquor license and have some cool new expansions coming. This is the place to go when you want a good date night, exceptional experience, and awesome food. The chef is on point with everything he makes. We have never been disappointed with anything that came out of that kitchen

This was our second visit to Tutoni’s. There is a lot to like-the venue is intimate and attractive. The personnel –greeter & waitstaff, appeared genuinely friendly and knowledgable. Menu selections are limited, but varied enough to accommodate all preferences. We started with the«cheese board» — 4 types of cheese– 2 cow and 2 goat. Paired with«smoked grapes», almonds, and honey. Good start and perfect compliment to the bottle of Shiraz we had brought with us.(Personally, I enjoy an occasional BYOB). My wife found the«bolognese» enjoyable; portions are smaller than most York«all you can eat» venues, but still sufficient to have leftovers for next days lunch. I choose the«carbonara» with help from the waitperson, «My personal favorite and you will love the bacon!». The sauce was good and the pasta had an interesting quality-not al dente, but a little«chewier» than most. The«pork belly» was disappointing, predominantly fat and it overpowered the flavor. I would rate my entrée as «good», not great. Dessert was the perfect ending. Miniature«shots» of a variety of sweet treats. I’m not a dessert guy, but did appreciate the small taste to end the meal. Both my wife and I like Tutoni’s. They seem to have all the ingredients for a «spectacular» restaurant, but they still a work in progress.

Passing through York and was surprised to find this wonderful restaurant that makes its own pasta and uses all fresh ingredients. It hasn’t gotten it’s liquor license yet,(coming soon) so we were lucky that we had a bottle of wine in the car. Very tasty dishes and we’ll be back again next time we’re in York.

We happen to be passing through York on our way back home from Washington DC. We decided to stop in York to have something to eat. so we sort of lucked out when we saw this restaurant. If you like pasta their homemade pasta is great! Luckily we happen to have a couple of wine bottles in the trunk since it’s bring your own booze here. Everything is done high-class including the french-press coffee and desserts

Antiquing in York is always a pleasure… and finding a wonderful restaurant makes for a perfect day… well, we found a great place here, Tutoni’s! Kind of hard to find a parking spot, as its downtown, but well worth the effort! My wife had the meatball sandwich and I had the panini and they were absolutely delicious… our waitress Sarah was an angel… We’ll be back for sure!

I met up with a good friend from undergrad(and fellow child of YoCo) here the other day. Both of us moved away after college, so we were excited to check out some of the new businesses that popped up since our last visits home. Tutoni’s seemed like a good place to start. We met for lunch. The restaurant itself is gorgeous — a bit dark, with lots of stone details and a mild wood smell. All pluses in my book! The restaurant was pretty quiet with only two other tables filled. The hostess/waitress had seated the parties away from each other, which was a nice change from being sandwiched against strangers whose conversations you have zero interest in and vice versa. Based on the proximity of the smaller tables, I imagine there’s high potential for(un)intentional eavesdropping during peak hours. We both ordered paninis; I went with the charcuterie and my friend chose the portabella. Each sandwich came with the option of a green salad or pasta salad; I opted for the greens and she went for the pasta. Overall, the food was fresh and flavorful and the portions quite generous(disclaimer: neither of us are big eaters). We were pleasantly surprised that each lunch totaled $ 10. Also, be sure to try the wonderful tea! It’s from Cherie Anne’s around the corner. Both teas(one was called Snickerdoodle, the other I forget) were so excellent that after we left, we immediately jaywalked across Philly Street to get a stash. I love the locally-sourced network that’s popped up in downtown, and Tutoni’s definitely taps into it in great ways. The dinner menu looked dope(Housemade pasta? Sign me up for some of that gnocchi.), so I’m excited to return and try Tutoni’s evening fare — and their wine selection.

My husband and I were happy to see an Italian restaurant downtown. We went for lunch last week. The inside is beautiful, we were greeted and seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and proud of their farm to table process. We ordered lunch specials but, were both sadly disappointed. The entrees did not have flavor or pizazz we expect from fresh ingredients. We did look at the dinner menu before leaving but, our lunch experience did not leave us wanting more.

Great food and service. I had the rigatoni which was one of the best pastas I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommended if you are looking for good food in York. One warning is that the food prices are higher than a «$$» would have you expect — but it is definitely worth it.

First visit, we love the concept. There is something for everyone on the menu. My brother-in-law was with us and he’s pickier than a finicky feline when it comes to restaurant food. He was able to find both a salad and an entrée to meet his needs. I had the Gazpacho of the day, a Curry Cantaloupe. Wow, fantastic. I ordered the last bowl in the restaurant, thanks to the professional hustle of our waitress, Gabrielle. My ordered the Charcuterie plate as my entrée and it was fantastic. The pâté was in-your-face intense and delicious. The restaurant is BYOB but there might be a corkage fee, I’m not sure. In any case, the décor is great, the food is great, the service was great. Very nice.

Pasta made daily and was tender and flavorful. David had the bolognese and really enjoyed it. I had the meatballs and they were tender without a lot of filler. The bread is a sun dried tomato and rosemary which went perfectly with the house rosemary olive oil. This is a farm to table place and use local farmers to sustain support their menu. We had the cheese plate with cheeses from Lancaster and honeycomb that was sweet yet smooth. The small desserts were a perfect sweet ending with the the Oreo cream being the one to try. It is BYOB for now. Sarah was a wonderful server and we will ask for her next time.

The food was underwhelming. Stuffed calamari is a unique idea, but results in overcooking. Shrimp risotto was good. The mini dessert shooters were too dry, they need some work. Maybe my expectations were a bit too high going into dinner. Management responded very well to a minor issue and the service was friendly and helpful. Corking fees? Seriously, who does this in York? If I return, hopefully it will be a better experience.
