Supercuts

Not many reviews lately so I’ll add an update. After spending more money at various salons over the years I wasn’t sure if a chain operation would be a good idea but it’s worked out great for me. At my age I’m just glad to still have hair that needs a cut but it really helps when I can jump in at the last minute, use the app to book a time and get appointments with Mel. Like the previous reviewer said, she’s great. It’s only 15 mins in the chair for me but it’s always better when you know you’re getting a consistently reliable good cut and your barber is pleasant and a good conversationalist. That’s Mel and I’ll be booking with her as long as she’s there…

I don’t give five stars lightly, but I think the recent cut I got by Mel at SuperCuts deserves a five star rating.
I have thick curly hair, which can be a nightmare to cut and get it to look good. Too long and it just hangs, too short and it gets poofy. When I went into SuperCuts, I wanted to go from long (past my shoulders) to short (about even to my nape), but was super apprehensive. By chance, I got Mel, who assured me she could cut curly hair.
She asked me what I wanted and I showed her a pic. We talked about what I liked and didn’t like about the cut in the pic. She asked me how I typically styled my hair (wash and go), and during the cut, she checked in with me about the length, how I would wear it, etc.
What I ended up with was a cut that was perfect for my hair and looked better than the cut in the pic (although with all the characteristics that I wanted). Mel gave me what I wanted, didn’t try to talk me into something that I didn’t want or wasn’t comfortable with, and did an amazing job with my hair. I’ve already received many compliments on my hair and I absolutely love it.
I will return to Mel next time my hair needs cut. She did an awesome job.
PS. Since so many reviews on here include prices, I think for what it cost me (under $ 20, not including tip), I got a great deal.

Good place for a cheap haircut. I have short hair which grows very quickly and sometimes I only need the back trimmed. They only charge me $ 7 for the trim (it’s the bangs/​beard trim price) and when I get an all-​over cut it’s $ 13. They do a good job. At first, I brought in a photo to show them what I wanted but now they know me and know my hairstyle.

If you are looking for a buzz-​cut, this place does it for 10 bucks. As long as it stays that way, it’s got my vote. They do a decent job and I’m in and out in 5 minutes. My only complaint is that on Sundays they close at 4pm. That’s a tad early.
