From the moment you walk-​in, the energy is intoxicating! Each employee welcomes newcomers and repeat customers with the same friendliness. We visited from SC on a recommendation. My daughter has eczema. The soap products have helped her tremendously!!! I can’t say enough about the people, the brand, and the products!

Shopgirl working yesterday was just a doll. Dropped $ 60 or so on gifts for family and friends and things for myself. Tried the peppermint, cinnamon, coffee soap last night– JUST LOVE IT, how right she was in saying that! Sincerely hope she makes commission as she was incredibly helpful and kind and wonderful at her job. Thanks again for all the individual attention!

Was visiting from out of town today and decided to check this place out because I’m a sucker for homemade soaps and lotions. Upon walking in, I saw tons of unique items like tie-​dyed underwear, earrings made from various stones, and just a bunch of cute little gifts besides soap. Everything was nearly organizes and relatively inexpensive. They had a table set up of bath fizzies for just $ 1.50 each! And they had at least 15 different scents. There was so much stuff to look at. The lady who works there was super friendly and gave me a free sample of soap because it was my first time visiting there. She also asked if I wanted one of the soaps gift wrapped because I mentioned that I was buying it for my boyfriend! Just incredibly generous and thoughtful. I wish I lived in town just to go back to this place.

Love this soap and the friendly staff. I always make sure I go in for a few bars when I go to the market.
I have not found one I didn’t like and the staff had always been friendly. If you haven’t tried it and aren’t sure if you want too make the step ask them about it they are always handing out samples slivers to new comers.

Just visited this shop for the first time today and was very pleased with the selection and customer service!
I was in need of a special gift for my aunt and gathered some soap, lotion sticks, towelettes, a soap dish, etc. and the sales lady put everything together in a nice bag with tie. Perfect!
Of course, I added some goodies for myself and can’t wait to give everything a try.
Will be back for sure!

Fun place to shop for unique and interesting gifts. The place always smells really nice too! I love their soaps and if you intend to give a bar of soap as a gift, they will package it very nicely with appropriate labeling. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you are in downtown York!

I bought 4 soaps I’m excited to give 2 as gifts, and excited to share about my findings! Also looking forward to try the 2 I got for myself. Will be returning for the sweet orange bar soap that was recommended.

One of downtown York’s coolest shops! This is one of my go-​to places for gifts, you can find all sorts of goodies here… not just soap. Speaking of their soap, it is wonderful and comes in a slew of different scents. I haven’t tried many of their other products aside from the soap and lip balm but I’ve heard great things from others and plan to try something new the next time I go. They feature several different jewelry designers (some local) and also carry an impressive case of vintage pieces. There are a variety of gifts here, garden flowers using recycled dishes, gourd planters, incense, cheese plates made of recycled bottles… the list goes on. Definitely a must see!

For the past four or five winters, I was itching with dry skin. I had to use moisturizing cream One of my co-​workers suggested Sunrise Soap to me, so I tried it. Since I purchased my first three bars of Sunrise Soap I have not had to use any moisturizing cream. Thank you, Sunrise! It works great!

Sunrise Soap Company is situated in the heart of York City’s downtown shopping district. My husband and I shop here for creams and soaps, organic cleaning items, and bio-​degradable/​recycled paper supplies. They do offer a few other items by local artists, candles, etc, but their core focus is soaps.
My husband gets very dry skin and is severely allergic to poison ivy, and their soap/​lotions have been a heaven-​sent.
The owner is really friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to allergens, detergents, items to solve itchy skin, etc.
The owner is always willing to set an appointment to open for you, especially if you are a regular shopper, or want to have a private party stop by. I think you an also order their items online.
