Bottom Line: Much nicer than your average gas station convenience store and you can be sure that they have fresh milk. I didn’t know much about Rutter’s until recently. Heck, because of the scrolled R and my bad vision, I thought this place was called Butter’s. Anyway, in the York area Rutter’s is most closely associated with the local dairy farm but the company also owns a chain of gas stations and convenience stores which they call«Farm Stores.» The Rutter family ended up opening their Farm Stores many decades ago to have a new retail outlet for selling their dairy products. Today, Rutter’s Farm Stores sells all of the typical convenience items like sodas and snacks. This particular location has a large, bright store and clean bathrooms. There are also several gas pumps out front.
