Nice little coffee shop in York. Just within walking distance to downtown. Love the frozen hot chocolate. Some cool events in the back room in the past. Hours are limited, so double check before you go… wish they had later and weekend hours.

I’ve tried several times to embrace new grounds but their coffee just isn’t up to the industry standard and their specialty drinks are far to sweet for my liking. They do have a few good baked goods if that is what you are looking for. I used to love the previous café that was in this location. I spent MANY hours in it but the new décor and addition of flat screen tvs that show espn and the stock market all day tend to negate the formerly relaxing, coffeehouse environment.

Had a chance to visit New Grounds with my wife. Great atmosphere — comfortable, clean, and inviting. Good selection of brewed coffees, espresso drinks, and other beverages. Great variety of fresh baked goods. All their coffee is roasted on site, which doesn’t get better. Definitely worth stopping in.

Whenever I’m in downtown York I try to make it a point to go here. New Grounds is located inside the Martin Library.(I think there is another NG at 284 W Market). I read another review saying the prices aren’t comparable to Starbucks. Not sure where that person is paying, but when I pay the guy at the counter I remember thinking it was the same. Now the difference between this place and SB is the quality. NG is better! And the apple pie muffins are awesome. They exactly what they sound like. A muffin with apple pie filling. This place is worth the trip. The only downfall of this place is how small it is inside.
