I would give them a zero if possible. We ordered a mattress for over $ 1000 and paid for it on our credit card. Later that night we read some reviews about this particular hybrid mattress retaining heat and decided it was not for us. The next morning we called and cancelled the delivery. The salesman who helped us in York was actually from the Harrisburg store and was back working in Harrisburg the next day so we had to call there to handle the cancellation. I spoke with the manager in Harrisburg and he explained that the refund needed to go through a corporate office and would take 2 — 3 weeks to post back to our credit card. After 3 weeks we still had not received our refund even though we had never taken possession of any merchandise. Over the next several weeks we called the York store, the district manager and the national customer service department. The district manager never returned our calls. The customer service reps told us the refund was being processed and to allow 3 days for it to process. Each time, no credit ever appeared. Finally after SEVENWEEKS of them stealing our money, I called our credit card company and explained the situation. They filed a claim against Mattress Warehouse and a few days later we received the refund. Buyers beware — this company is unethical and deceitful!

I have bought 4 mattresses for our family from Mattress Warehouse over the past eight years or so and have been very happy with the price and service we have received every time. Once, I thought I had them on price, comparing with a similar mattress at Ashley Furniture, but not only did they voluntarily beat the price, they pointed out several quality difference factors, which I was able to verify later, that sealed the sale for them. I’ve seen many many mattress stores come and go over the years, but Mattress Warehouse has always been faithfully there next to the Men’s Wearhouse for at least the past decade.
