I am new to the area and I am so grateful that I found this little gem. I recently relocated here from Boston and I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants. People complained a little that the food here is a little pricy, but coming from Boston, I didn’t notice. I selected the Whooping Crane melt and add sprouts. I am so happy to find an alternative to all the chain restaurants. The sandwich was delicious. I love that you are able to customize your sandwich. I love the pickle that you get with you sandwich, it was a small dill. You can also select from a bag of chip, carrots with ranch, or a small mixed green salad. I kept it simple and went with the chips. Another person I was with ordered the salad, and I must admit, I felt a twinge of jealousy. There was spinach on my sandwich and I didn’t want to over green my meal. Who am I kidding I am in love with those mean greens. If you are close the East York Isaac’s is a great place to stop for a quick bite. I will by pass the food court at the local mall and stop at this cute little place. If you are feeling frisky and it is in season, there is a cute froyo place inside, as well as a cute gift shop. At this place you can get your sandwich, some froyo, and a cute little trinket for Mom or Grandma.

Since they added the loyalty club we eat at Isaacs about once a week. The sandwiches are good and the restaurant is very family oriented. Good food, good atmosphere, and a great staff. Try the bread bowl if you get soup, it’s so good

Food is very good. Always get the Flamingo which is a roast beef and cheese sandwich. Very pricy. Every time we go in the prices seem higher. $ 12 for a sandwich? What the heck is that? They had better be paying their staff a descent wage.

I prefer the Pauline drive location, but sometimes this place is closer. Delicious flatbread pizza with veggie burger!

Any place that serves pickles right off the bat deserves five stars. The food was excellent, they forgot the chicken on my salad(I didn’t even notice) BUT they brought out the missing chicken AND gave us free dessert because of it. I want to go back for sure!

The soups are great, never an issue. Most sandwiches are great, however the last few times I got the tuna it was just shy of the quality of a bad can of cat food. It looks like they got a bottle of mayonnaise and added a small can of tuna to it! I’m not really one to complain, but after getting yet again another bad sandwich I felt future customers might want to know.

My mother loves this place so we eat here 1 – 2 times a month. I ordered the crabcake sandwich today and it was not good. Crab color was grayish, lots of shells. For around $ 12 I would expect better. I normally order the Canyon Wren… which I love. My mother likes the pterodactyl. Don’t waste your money on the crabcake.

Got something for take out and while the staff was very busy and quick getting orders out, I had some items missing. My sandwich was great! However the fruit salad was spoiled and they did not include a fork or napkins.

I’ve been to this location literally dozens of times. I don’t live in the area anymore, but I try to visit every 6 – 8 weeks, and we stop in every time. Perhaps it is just the memories of growing up here and lots of laughter with friends, but I always leave pleased. The food is quite delicious, and I’ve never had a bad waiter. The closest location to me now is about a 40 minute drive, and while the food is still good, it is just not the same.

really really good sandwiches here. We sat out on the patio, which has a pretty view of the river flowing by, so good scenery. I had a reuben, which was delicious and my wife had a chicken caeser salad that she said was fabulous and kept trying to go back there to eat again, but we never made it. The sandwich menu is extensive and they all sound delicious and many were unique, so I would love to go back and try more. The waitress was a bit slow, they were busy so not sure if she had a lot of tables to deal with, or was just slow, we liked everything else about our experience there

Let’s start off with Issac’s is my favorite meal in Lancaster County and they are very good with children. But this location smelled like spoiled milk and the booths are awkwardly shaped. Not what I have come to expect from this establishment. Left disappointed.

Their pretzel bread sandwiches are amazing. Really. I have no idea why or how. The service is always good at any of the locations and the delicious food is equally consistent. If you’re in Pennsylvania, this is a safe place to stop during your road trip.

Really impressed. It’s been a few years since I’ve visited Isaac’s, and I love the changes to the menu.

We came here the night before my firstborn son who coincidentally was named Isaac(not after the restaurant) was born. My wife was to be induced and we wanted to get a bite before heading to the hospital. I enjoyed the meal but it was a tense feeling of anticipation. Last night we came here after my wife’s Graduation at Penn State York. She received her bachelor’s. The meal was fresh and tasty and the server was very friendly –I really enjoyed coming here and the price is reasonable.

I used to eat here a lot when I worked in York and I always had great food and decent service. Their food is unique and delicious and the place is clean and friendly. They also have a take-out service. My only complaint is the pricing. It’s very overpriced for a place that mostly makes sandwiches with pickles!

Have I told you how much I LOVE deli’s? Nothing like a big ol’ sandwich stuffed with cold cuts or deli meats or both :) Isaac’s delivered for me. I came to this place once before and ordered the Pterodactyl. The original owner(Isaac) is apparently a bird enthusiast, as such all his menu items are named after birds, some I’ve heard of, other not so much, like the Cormorant? The restaurant mascot is a pink flamingo. It’s cute and unexpected in PA, at least for me. Anyways, back to the food. The Pterodactyl($ 7.19)is a a sandwich on french bread with ham, salami, provolone, swiss, lettuce, tomato and vinaigrette dressing. Yum! All the ingredients are fresh, the sammiches are made to order and come with a pickle and your choice of chips(regular Utz, oven-baked Utz or Natural Utz). I always choose Natural, because it has 4 types of potatoes(dark russet, regular, blue potatoe and sweet potato) and they are kettle cooked(read: greasier and crunchier :) This time I ordered the Mallard(7.69), it comes in their famous Pretzel roll, something you can’t find in many places. The Mallard was thinly sliced roast beef, bacon, mushrooms, cheddar cheese and Ike’s special sauce. All warm and gooey… heaven! I washed it all down with a Dr. Brown’s Cream soda… classic! The menu is quite extensive and I wish I were here longer to try other things. Especially since the price is right as well. The price is under 9 bucks for a sandwich, 8.99 being a large, the regular size sandwiches average 7.69. Everything is fresh, I can’t stress that enough. They also have soups, in bread bowls! salads, flatbread pizzas, and sundaes. Both times I ordered take out, but they also have a little restaurant with sit down service. Also across from the restaurant section is a little store that has home goods and local sauces.
