My husband and I had Thanksgiving dinner at the Inn again this year, it was not the same fantastic experience we had last year. I asked to sit by the window to see the ocean when I made the reservation three months in advance just to be told we would have to wait another half hour for those tables. Our waitress was not friendly and gave us the wrong check. The food was just okay the seafood newberg last year had huge chunks of lobster this year I could not find any seafood. We will stay home next year, hope they improve.

The facility is amazing and the staff is wonderful. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Short walk to Harbor Beach.

Some close friends of ours had their wedding ceremony and reception in the first floor dining area. It was a very special wedding, and the staff were very helpful. It did feel a little crowded for the ceremony. There was no place to sit, which I imagine would have been a problem for me if I hadn’t been a bridesmaid, since I probably would not have been able to see a thing. I do not know if the staff could have done anything about this, given that it’s a small space, and I also don’t know if any of the guests actually minded. The food was excellent, and the décor was charming.(I especially loved the centerpieces, which were made by my friend’s mother; but they don’t come with the venue!) In my opinion, this might not be the best place to have a wedding ceremony, but it was a good place for a small wedding reception. Also, the bridal suite was very nice, as was the other little building where we went for the photographer to take the wedding pictures.

We go to the pub often. Food has really gone downhill here. We used to go up a lot but the last two times the food stunk. The Caesar salad last time was actually nauseating, the dressing had some strange, awful taste, and no, it wasn’t anchovie paste, it was something that had spoiled. Onion soup was the saving grace, everything else was pretty bad. Too bad, it’s a great cozy spot in the winter. Stick to the beer, someone else far away made that! :)

Had my wedding reception here back in Sept. ’03 and it was just perfect(if I do say so :) The staff was great in helping us plan, providing us with a full list of great local vendors(used a dj, photopgrapher & florist off the list!). The food was really delicious too! Years later, that’s still something guests are commenting on! We had the actual reception in the 1st floor dining room area(not the upstairs bnquest hall). It only fits 125 ppl, but that was fine for us and had much more atmosphere and character than the blah banquet hall).
