Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill

Great food but impossible management. Had to go home to eat because the restaurant temperature was 65 degrees.
Told manager and the answer was: «it’s controlled by corporate, we can’t do anything about it!» Several other customers were complaining and NOBODY CARED. I asked if the day manager could address it. Answer: «No, only the district manager might be able to fix the temperature as our thermostats are locked, and they control all the stores.»
I am incredulous. First they’re being insensitive to saving energy. Second they’re either incompetent or ridiculous. Since when do you create a hostile dining environment?

I love Rubio’s. I don’t love this location. I eat here many weekends and the food is consistently poorly prepared and presented. Smaller portions than other locations and the quality of the food is not as good. Very sad. Please fix this!

Horrible service… I tried to call in to make a take out and I’m put on hold and they never answer. I came in to order in the store and I told one of the workers who replied by laughing and saying «oh its just me by myself, did I put you on hold and forget?» On top of that, my salmon fish taco wasn’t cooked well. Awful management. I’ll just avoid this Rubio’s.

I picked up dinner (to go) for my husband and I at Rubio’s last night and was very disappointed in the quality of the food I received. Because I knew it was «taco Tuesday,» I decided to go early to avoid the big crowd and arrived about 4:45 PM. My order was processed in a reasonable amount of time. Upon eating the food after arriving home, we noticed the quality of the Tacos Especial was definitely not up to the standards that we have previously received at Rubio’s. In looking at the tacos more closely, it appeared as though they may have been prepared ahead of time because they didn’t taste or look that freshly made. I don’t know if this is a practice they do on Tuesdays, but from now on I will definitely avoid that day of the week to visit Rubio’s.

Rubio’s used to be one of our favorite places and maybe just this location but it has really gone down the tubes. Flavor not there any longer. Service so so and not so clean. Been going about once a week but no more after last night.

Great customer service by Vanessa and staff. Shrimp and bacon burrito is my favorite it was made perfect.

I’ve decided after about ordering take-​out about 10 times now that it’s time to move on. How hard is it to get my order right? I am not kidding when I say that my «to go» order has NEVER been right. NEVER. I don’t know if it’s the person taking my order who gets it wrong or the cooks. I will not buy anything from another Rubio’s. It’s disappointing to get your food only to see that it is wrong AGAIN.

Amazed by the new management team. The have really improved the food quality and delivery time!

The female manager is always super kind and polite everytime I have been in makes for a comforting customer service expirience.

This place is trash, food is good, service is terrible. Honestly they said my churro was going to be done in 2 minutes and it has been 15, the girl came up to me and told me you realize they have to make it, in a rude way, obviously they have it, don’t come here!

If your looking for a place with ok food, you’ve got the place. But they have really bad customer service and the food quality isn’t the best. I love rubuos, but not this location. It takes forever to get your food.

If Vanessa is not the store manager she should be! This girl is running the joint and owning it! Her and two other girls handled the lunch rush hour like it was nothing! The food is always good at Rubios, so it’s always nice when you get good service to top it off!
There are lots of choices in the area for food and so when something stands out its nice to let people know! I’m not local, but if I’m here again I will stop in for food!

I am sitting here right now waiting for my order I placed in the store to go. I have been waiting 25+ mins now for two California bowls. After 20 mins they apologized. No explanation just a sorry. Still waiting as those who ordered their food behind me have dined and are now leaving and I still have not been served. Not pleased one bit.

I’ve been here at least 25 times and never been charged extra to sub more guac instead of sour cream. Mgr said that they always charge to sub, guess I have been going somewhere else all this time!

If you intend on getting your food in less than 20 minutes go elsewhere. This specific rubios is particularly understaffed. This is not to say that the service itself wasn’t of quality, it just would have been nice to avoid waiting for them to kill the cow and fish before cooking them for me and my girlfriend.
Then the food came out completely wrong and missing parts of our order. The manager should be brought outside and beaten with a house.
This is most definitely the result of extremely poor managerial decisions. Go somewhere else and save yourself the time.

They’re always so friendly in here! Love getting the street tacos for a quick meal. Really filling and not too unhealthy. I get black beans and rice instead of chips.

Always so friendly and polite! Im in love with the chopped salad, mainly because im obsessed with putting chips in my food, so
perfect! The dressing makes it even more delicious! If I ask for extra dressing on the side, its not an extra cent like everywhere else.

We visited because of a free meal coupon. I had the original fish tacos, that came with beans and chips… I would have preferred rice. I noticed at the salsa and condiment bar that limes were present. Is the «so-​called» lime shortage a fabrication? If cases of limes are going for $ 140, why weren’t Rubio’s limes chained downed?
The fish tacos were good, but most restaurants’ fish tacos are good. I was disappointed in the pinto beans. My partner saw the Carl’s Jr. next door and asked me to buy an order of Sweet Potato fries.
I think I prefer Wahoo’s more than Rubio’s…but that’s just me.

Love the street tacos. The carne asada and chicken are both good. The beans and rice are also delicious.
The salsa bar has a vibrant salsa verde and a good red salsa plus plenty of cilantro and limes to squeeze on top of your tacos.
The guacamole is also good here.
The owner is really nice.

I eat at Rubio’s from time to time, especially when I am out in Temecula wine tasting. It’s consistently good food, and I really enjoy their different types of seafood tacos.
Over the weekend BF and I stopped in at the Yorba Linda location for lunch. I usually stick to the Salsa Verde Shrimp Taco, but I branched out this time and got the Original Gourmet Shrimp Taco. I also ordered the Pacific Mahi Mahi Taco, which I already know I like.
We ordered a Sangria to share, which is something new that they are offering. It is in a large wine bottle, which they pour into a glass, and then add fruit. The Sangria was a bit too winey for us. We added some sugar and it was a lot better.
My food was good, although I think I will go back to to ordering the Salsa Verde taco, as the Gourmet was a little too citrusy for me, and I didn’t taste the bacon at all.
The customer service at this location is great! Two times people stopped by our table to see how our lunch was. That has never happened to me at another Rubio’s.
Yummy, quick, reasonably priced seafood. I’m a fan!
