If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have been to this place 3 times in the 25+ years I have lived in Yorba Linda and it has always been mediocre. Tonight it was bad! Cold and unflavorful, rude service, an hour wait for our food with no apology. I will never be back and I’m in walking distance. Too bad they don’t care about their customers. Shame shame shame!

I really enjoyed eating lunch here. It was, perhaps, the best Chinese food I have had in the area. I was particularly impressed that alternatives were given. One could substitute low calorie foods for such things as spring rolls and fried rice. The corn soup was excellent, as was the almond chicken. The lunch came with a steamed dumpling, one of the lower calorie choices. The dumpling was also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant which not only has excellent food but is inexpensive and had very attentive service. My lunch experience was excellent. However, I returned several months later for dinner. I was extremely disappointed. The service was extremely slow and sometimes surly. Worse yet, the food was bland and dull. What happened to the basic garlic and ginger ingredients? Perhaps it was because we had diner two days after Christmas, and they appeared to be understaffed. Or, maybe it was just a bad night. In any event, I’m lowering my review from a 5 to a 3.

I’ve been coming here for years! Other Chinese restaurants really don’t compare. The décor isn’t amazing, but it’s simple, casual, and yummy! You must try the Hot Braised String Beans(delicious!) *Orange Peel Chicken(perfection) *Beef & Broccoli I love the green tea! I haven’t found a Chinese restaurant that even compares(and I’ve tried A LOT)

This place is a real gem, one definitely worth visiting, and don’t let the few reviews deter you. Their orange peel chicken is literally perfect. Not too sweet, or saucy, has a perfect amount of spice, and is perfectly fried(Just the right amount of breading and crispness.) My wife swears they have the best paper wrapped chicken that she’s ever had, their won ton soup had excellent flavor with just the right amount of won tons, and the chow mein also had great flavor without that greasiness that poorly prepared chow mein often has. Anyone looking for some quality, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared Chinese food definitely needs to come here!

*****updated review: Food tasted old and the beef in the chow mein was disturbingly chewy. Not going back here Just tried this place today, needed a quick dinner to pick up. I highly recommend the orange peel beef, almond chicken, and chow mein. None of the dishes were greasy which is hard to find when eating Chinese food.

Just had dinner here for the first time and it was fantastic. The service was attentive. We had beer and tea, as well as hot and sour soup, chicken corn egg flower soup, honey walnut shrimp and beef crispy pan fried noodles. EVERYTHING was very good. My husband really enjoyed the hot and sour soup. The honey walnut shrimp are as good, or better, than the Panda(at much less cost). We both loved the beef crispy pan fried noodles. I would highly recommend Lettuce Wok N Roll.

My first time here last weekend and the food was awesome! Garlic Onion wings, House Fried Rice, and the Chicken Noodles were delicious. I placed an order for take out and as I’ve sat in the lobby waiting on the order I’ve observed the following: MANYREGULARS frequent this place for lunch(given by the staff greeting patrons by first name and conversating about how their weekend plans went, it was obvious they were regulars). FRIENDLYSTAFF! As busy as this place got and the little staff they had to run the dining and take out area, they were very pleasant, welcoming, and very kind! It’s no wonder they have many regulars. CLEAN: the facility was not only open and airy but the facility appeared clean and I notice the staff wore appropriate gear while handling food and switching to handle money. That impressed me as I rarely see that even at a more upscale facility. Take out menus conveniently located at the front counter, staff will always acknowledge your presence and greet you. If orders or seating may take awhile, the staff is very considerate to give a time frame of availability and apologizes for the wait. Because it was my first time here I used my GPS to help me find it and for some reason it kept directing me to the housing area at the corner of the cross streets… please note it is in the complex where CVS Pharmacy is(off to the right of CVS).

The food here is SOGOOD! Not to mention, the staff is extremely polite and kind. I guess it would be easy for them to be so attentive seeing as to how the restaurant isn’t super crowded. I thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as spending time here with my friends.

We live in Yorba Linda and have been going here for years. Mostly takeout but occasionally we dine in. Always friendly and reliable. We recommend it.

So they dont have the best Chinese food in the world, but they give good portions with the anticipated flavors and ingredients at reasonable rates. I would get take out about once a month when I lived in Yorba Linda(about 4 years). I moved from YL in September 2011. The food was always quickly made and ready to pick up. As the first reviewer remarked, the old name rocked! Lettuce Wok n Roll, what a great name for Chinese joint. I have had a lot of the menu items, and while many were average, I have never had anything bad, disappointing, or below my expectations. I do not really enjoy eating at this restaurant but always seem to get takeout. It is just easier that way I guess. The other Chinese restaurants in Yorba Linda are all much worse than this place. So if you want some takeout at a reasonable price get over to this joint and enjoy it!

We have been here a few times & have been satisfied each time. It’s not the best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted but probably the best I’ve tasted in Yorba Linda. It keeps us coming back. «Lettuce Wok N Roll»

I had the lunch special with Kang pao chicken with steam rice. Nothing special, nothing I haven’t tried before. If it anything it wasn’t that good. My hubby agrees with me and said that he won’t be returning there again. Too bad, I was hoping to find a new fav Chinese place around here.

This place used to be called«Lettuce Wok n Roll,» which I thought was really cute. They changed the name about two years ago, not sure why. To be honest, I would have probably never gone inside this place if it wasn’t for a friend taking me here. It’s in a grocery store shopping center, next to a nail salon and a clothing boutique. It’s just kind of out of place. The décor inside is pretty crappy and the lighting is really bad. The booths are uncomfortable. But, the food is awesome. I usually order it to go, just because I would rather sit at home and eat their food than sit in there. My favorites things to order: Sizzling Rice Soup House Chicken Orange Peel Beef Almond Chicken Garlic Chicken Not so good: Egg Rolls Chow Mein Mushroom Chicken I have been a loyal customer for years. I would say I order food to go once a month. As long as I stick to my favorites, they never disappoint. **EDIT — 5/31/08** I came here for dinner last night. They are under new management! They have new booths and tables and they have done a bit of remodeling. They have a brand new, super friendly and attentive staff. The iced tea is no longer watered down, and the food tastes the same, but a little better. Almost like the food is fresher now.
