Avalon Bagels To Burgers

Great place! I had the lox and cream cheese bagel. Came with bagel chips and an apple dessert. Tasty! My friend had the sausage omelette bagel. He said it was just okay, but we both loved mine. Service was equally as good.

One of my favorite places to go in the morning. Great food and, best of all, great customer service.

This is by far my favorite local bagel shop! They have tons of bagel varieties and tons of coffee flavors, which is just amazing because I can always find something I’m in the mood for when I come here. I usually get their bagel lox or a sausage/​egg sandwich on one of their bagels, depending on what I’m in the mood for. Both of these are definitely on the heavier side and the portion sizes are kind of insane, considering they really load on the cream cheese, so you can get weighed down pretty quickly! All of their sandwiches come with a side of crispy bagel chips and a small container of candied apples. I believe you can upgrade the bagel chips to cottage fries, which I highly recommend doing — I did it once, but have been forgetting to recently! Prices are a bit on the higher end for a bagel shop, but considering the food, location, parking, service and indoor/​outdoor seating is great… I don’t mind paying a bit more for an enjoyable experience, which I have pretty much always had here!

First time coming here today and it was so good! I had the veggie bagel melt with a small coffee. They have lot of coffee options which I loved even though I almost always choose hazelnut. The bagel itself was to die for. I wasn’t sure how to eat it so I ate it like a pizza because they give it to you as halves with the toppings on top. Previous bagel sandwich places I’ve gone to give it to you as a sandwich so I was a little confused. But like it doesn’t matter how you eat it as long as you do, because this place is so delicious!

If I could give this place more stars I would… they are that good. I learned of their goodness when I worked for a company who had vendors bring in goodies for us. I always ran to the kitchen when I found out Avalon bagels were there. I had to grab the Jalapeño Cheddar bagel because it’s the most amazing thing you’ll ever eat.
I decided to go there and see what else they had one day. Come to find out they have amazing cheese burgers and chicken burgers… and so much more.
You can choose a bagel for your bread too. So yummy.
Seriously the freshest and tastiest bagels you’ll everrrrrr eat. So amazing.
It’s a cute little place with outdoor seating and friendly staff from my experiences.
My husband and I say it’s like a family owned business that truly takes extreme pride in all they do… and it very evident in the quality of the food.
I felt the need to express my thankfulness for your great business! My tummy is very satisfied right now.

I would give this place 4 stars if it weren’t for the multiple times they have not put sauce on their bagel sandwiches. It’s about a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance in getting the sandwhich right. I ask for an extra side of dijon and somehow that means «no sauce». not sure if it’s a communication problem with the girls at the registers or if the cooks in the back give zero f*cks. The bagels are good other than that, so proceed with an open mind and caution.

The burger is legit.
I heard from a few people to try their burger, but I was dismissive towards that idea because most people don’t even know what a good burger is. And how can a little bagel shop make a recommendation worthy burger? Well, I still don’t know how, but they sure do.
It’s so run a filling– they have to use straight ²⁰⁄₂₀ and its a very thick patty. Top that with some crispy real bacon a bagel bread bun and you have a very good burger. It’s so filling I have yet to finish it. It’s good to split with someone.

Avalon is a great stop for a quick and affordable breakfast. We love to get bagels and protein shakes and return nearly every weekend. Their burgers are also great, but we aren’t around at lunchtime too often. Give Avalon a try, you won’t be disappointed!

I finally decided to try this place after living in the area all my life and I was not disappointed! They have a huge selection of breakfast and lunch items and I finally chose the bagel with egg, tomato, avocado and cheese. It may seem a little pricey, but you get both halves of the bagel topped with the items described so it amounts to a huge portion! I ate one half and took the other half as leftovers. The plate also came with a small serving of cinnamon apples which was so delicious and unexpected. The staff was very friendly and made an effort to talk with me, not just take my order. Definitely recommend!

The bagel with salmon is the best! Juice is very refreshing. The staff is so friendly and makes you feel like a VIP. Keep in mind that everything is on the bagel (like the cheeseburger). Pay attention to the Where is the world Avalon photo on the wall. You might recognize where the photo is taken and have a chance at winning a free lunch.

This place was very good! I got the bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese… Best decision ever! I didn’t know what exactly what it was called but the workers were very friendly and helped me order. Overall the bagel was delicious… The only downside was that I got it to-​go and once I opened the box at home, I found that there was a hair on my bagel but the bagel looked so good that I just flicked the hair right off and ate it. 5 stars even with the hair! Try the lox bagel thing with salmon!

Bagels are a staple food in my diet — mainly because it’s simple, quick, and affordable making it the perfect breakfast food. I thought I made a mean bagel, but Avalon taught me that I’m nothing but an amateur.
If you’re a casual fan of bagels, give Avalon a try! It’s as simple as that. I was deeply impressed by the golden, crunchy outside and the soft inside of the bagel. And the flavors? The tuna was a little salty, the celery was crisp, the cheese was neatly melted on top, and the slice of tomato provided a slightly sweet relief.
Their drinks menu is rather limited compared to their bagel/​sandwich/​burger/​pizza portion, but the smoothie I ordered was comparable to Jamba’s in taste. Yum!
Even though Avalon claims that they are a «fast casual» restaurant, I felt a little fancy having my not-​so-​casual-​looking tuna melt bagel with the side of bagel chips and apple and strawberry surprise for ~$ 12 in their small but quiet dining area.

Best cream cheese flavors ever! My boyfriend and I ordered the jalepeno cream cheese on an everything bagel, lox spread on an everything bagel, a egg, cheese, and sausage omelet, and 2 great tasting smoothies (watermelon and peach perfect)
The Jalepeno cream cheese is a MUST! The lox spread tasted great too :) but to be honest the omelet wasn’t to die for.
Other than that, the cashier was super grumpy and rude. No manners towards anyone what so ever. She asked if I wanted ketchup and ranch and I replied yes, she then asked in a hostile way «BOTH?!»
Well, if you’re not willing to give me both then don’t ask! Stupid lady…

My fiancé and I had lunch here over the weekend. We both ordered the same sandwich, the Turkey, Avocado, Provolone. The girl who rang us up was sort of rude, and the sandwiches took forever to be made. Although they did seem pretty busy. We agreed next time we want Avalon, we will call it in ahead of time and pick it up.
The sandwich was really tasty! I loved the light, buttery bread, it had a garlic taste to it. The ingredients on the sandwich were good quality, I really like the cheese they used, and they didn’t skimp on the avocado. The dijon sauce on it was really flavorful and the potato chips served on the side were quite good as well.
I know we will be back, we both want to try their burgers next time.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I came here! FINALLY!
I’ve passed this place so many times!!! One morning I went CVS to get a frakin flu shot before my trip to Atlanta. I didn’t wanna get one but my sister and mom INSISTED! So I got there early as hell to get the shot over with before all the silver hairs came through the minute clinic LOL. While I waited I started looking at my bookmarks in the area and Avalon was top of the list. I said to myself, ya I can go for a bagel! Especially with lox!!!
I walked in around 10am or so. Right away I was greeted, the gals here are nice. The cashier was patient with me since I couldn’t figure it out. Ok I lie I did but I wanted to stalk the menu more because have LOTS of options for being a bagel shop! Next time I’m getting burgers!!! I ordered my darn bagel and lox on a jalapeño bagel. I like the extra spice! I ordered my lox bagel with all the fixins, wait so I thought! No capers!!! I usually hate capers but I only eat them with lox and nothing else! So I was kinda sad, I didn’t see capers with my bagel. Anywho, waited a little for my bagel and mom and sisters bagel. Wait time was not bad but then again I wasn’t in a rush! Said my goodbyes to the lovelies and rushed home to grub a dub dub.
They know how to pack your food to go the right way! This is very important. No one wants a sloppy to go meal! My lox bagel was in a box on a bed of bagel chips and a nice little cup of spiced cooked down apples! So cute! Don’t think the bagel chips are just for show, these are quite tasty. They also sell them by the bag, they’re great for dipping with all the schmears they have in the fridge :) Now to my lox bagel. It was a solid sandwich. A nice spread of cream cheese and a nice layer of bright fresh tomatoes, red onions and parsley to garnish. Their bagels are very fresh and a bit on the heavy side. I love heavy bagels so no complaints from me! I’d get this again and hopefully they don’t forget the capers unless they truly don’t have them there. My mother enjoyed the fact that they don’t have a heavy hand on the schmear. I don’t mind the heavy hand!
Ever since that meal and checking out the menu, I was dying to go back!!! So I did: D This time with the fambam. I came in on a Sunday around 1 and it was packed. I’ve never been in such a vanilla room with a heavy amount of silverhairs. Needless to say we got our food to go STAT! Even with all the ruckus, the kind cashier got our order correct! This time I got the BLTA (Bacon lettuce tomato avocado,) comes on an egg bagel. I also asked for extra bacon and that’s what I received. The bacon was on the crunchy side and remember what I stated in the Bonjour bagels review, bagel shops love using the thinner bacon which can cook faster than usual thus making my bacon super crispy. If it were thick cut, my sandwich would have been a 5 star. I still enjoyed! Just give me my thick cut bagel shops!
This place is my to go bagel shop in the area without a doubt and I need to try one of those crack smoothies and burgers!

Bagels on bagels on bagels!
I love carbs, especially bagels!!! This is my second time trying it and it’s solid and consistent!
The first time my sister brought it home for me but I didn’t eat it until later on the day so I couldn’t get a feel on it until I had it fresh. Yesterday we gave mom a break from cooking breakfast and went here to pick up some breakfast. All of the kids and grandparents were inside it was crowded but the service was on point, and didn’t take too long to get our food!
This time I had a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and it was good, I love having butter on my bagels I feel like it gives it a buttery and creamy taste along with the cream cheese! Mom tried the oatmeal and she absolutely loved it!
My sister is really digging this place and I’m glad its local so when we need our bagel fix we don’t have to go too far! ^_​_​_​^

Similar to Einstein’s, but possibly a little better. There’s an abundance of an assortment of bagels to choose from, including the jalapeño bagel and the unusual chocolate bagel. We came here for a quick breakfast on a not so busy day, we thought the breakfast bagel topped with egg and cheese would be a little small, but it was quite filling. I felt like the bagel itself tasted fresh, but the egg tasted a bit like the stuff that comes out of a pouch. Maybe I’m wrong, but having been in the Army and dining in old-​school cafeteria style joints in rundown barracks, these eggs brought me back to those times.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a place I would definitely re-​visit. The décor and motif is inviting and modern. The staff is really cool and friendly. The food, it wasn’t to die for, it was decent, and at the end the product should have been the main seller.

I just left this place and I’m stuffed! I ordered the turkey avocado with provolone on a multigrain bagel. It was soooo good and really fresh. They don’t have a kids menu so my son got a cheeseburger. He didn’t like it and barely ate any of it which was a bummer because it was $ 10!
I’m giving them 4 stars because of the service, it sucked! Waited what seemed like forever for our food and when it came they brought us 3 sandwiches, I only ordered 2. The guy next to us was just looking at it which means it was probably his so I gave it back lol. They also didn’t give us the apple thing that they usually give you with your sandwich and when we asked the waitress she said they ran out (with attitude). But then we see another server come out with an order and it had the apple thing. So we asked the same girl who said they didn’t have anymore and she asked how many we wanted. Umm I thought you ran out? Super annoyed with service but can’t deny food was worth it.

I am here to testify that the bagels are really good.
They freeze very well, toast them right from frozen. Make sure you ask them to slice them for you or you will lose several fingers trying to slice frozen bagels.
My wife says the burgers are good. Let’s see, covered the bagels, covered the burgers… Avalon. I don’t know why it is called Avalon.
