A very nice Asian restaurant, great ambiance, service and reasonably priced. Typical Fusion menu that they execute well. Nice bar area, been here several times never a crowd possible because it is not very attractive from the outside. Hope they stay in business. Give them a try.

My wife, wanted me to take her to Tasty House for her Birthday. We are parents so I made sure, to have a sitter. I wanted this to be a special experience and an enjoyable memory. I called days ahead to reserve but had a difficult time getting someone to answer the phone, once I did, I found it a little challenging, there was a third party there interjecting during the conversation. I was asked to «hold» …twice, but the woman did not use a «hold» button so I was able to listen to what seemed to be an excitable exchange with one of the staff, in their native language. I have to be honest, I was annoyed. Ok… we arrived, the parking lot is tight and not easy to maneuver. They don’t have handicapped assigned parking spots, which I find offensive with any business and there was a car parked by the entrance, on the sidewalk area,(not an official parking space), that turned out is the car used for their take out delivery. We announced ourselves at the door, however, there was no record of our reservation. I requested a quiet, out of the way table in a low lit area of the dining room. It’s not a huge place so the seating options are equally limiting. About 10 minutes later, a server walked over to our table and asked, «whah-you-wanna-drink?» with a very«walking vending machine» type demeanor. My wife asked if they served, prosecco. «No,» the server quickly responded but offered no suggestions. I noticed the drinks menu listed it. However, the server did not know what prosecco is, and didn’t know they had it. So, now we’re laboring away. My wife ordered the sparkling wine that she wanted, I asked for a club soda, and prayed. I asked God to grant me patience and acceptance. Wait for it… it gets better. They serve a squid appetizer. My wife LOVES squid, but she thought it would be great to have«Squid fried rice» they have, chicken, shrimp, and vegetable fried rice, and possibly other animal protein selections. It is fair to assume that throwing in Squid in place of the other given choices would not be a problem. I suggested that we pay any reasonable amount extra. «NO! Shrimp, yes. No squid rice» Never once offered to go and ask the chef if the kitchen would be able to accommodate the idea, just a big fat«NO» My wife and I noticed that every one of the servers appears to be depressed. I don’t imagine people love their jobs, but I’ve never seen a more oppressed expression on the face of a hospitality industry worker. The negative and sad energy just oozed out of them, contaminating what would otherwise be a festive, and pleasantly aesthetic dining room setting. We noticed the presence of a hyperactive and very loud child in the dining room. We could not hear much of what the server said while attempting to select our food menu items which did not include squid fried rice. The owners, a young couple have a son, 3 to 4 years old. We learned he is there every day, with the parents. The boy has every imaginable toy, including a scaled down version of a car that he drives around the dining room. The child behaved uncontrollably, he ran around pretending he was an airplane. He flew past our table a few times. Later he dribbled a big plastic ball. All this with sound effects. He then stopped by our table. He also visited some of the other tables, it seemed as though he was looking for acknowledgement and confirmation of how adorable he is. We were amazed, and sat in silence. We ate our food and left with a migraine. As parents my wife and I have always made an effort to redirect our children when we are out in public any time they become restless. Our children have learned that when we are in public it is considered good manners not to disrupt, or disturb other people. This is the way we were brought up and we appreciate decorum from others when we are in public. We work hard, and do long hours. We don’t always have an opportunity to go out. We know it will take planning, because we both work, have kids, and have to manage costs to what, where, and when we can afford to go out. It’s hurtful to go through all the planning, effort, spend hard earned money when we do go out, once every other month, and someone else decides to cancel it out for us by allowing elements that are well within the control spectrum of a thoughtful restaurateur to keep from infiltrating our personal space. We waited and looked forward to this as a «special» event, and it was decisively someone else’s choice that we should not be able to enjoy any of it, and then expected to pay for it. The most important persons in the dining room at Tasty House are not you the guests. Going to Tasty House is the upscale version of going to Chucky Cheese. It was not my preference to go to Chucky Cheese, yet we got Chucky Cheese out the experience. I wish I could remember something relevant about the food we ate, but I don’t have a recollection of what I had, only a phantom feeling of anxiety whenever I drive, north bound, past this restaurant

I always have gotten takeout and found that the Chinese food is so so. The other day I ordered the sushi as take out and WoW!!! It is excellent. The presentation is very nice and is only matched by the taste. They also have a nice selection on their sushi menu with a lot of specially chef rolls. From someone who is a bit of a sushi nut this place is my new«go to» spot whenever getting sushi.

We have eaten here multiple times. I think it is gaining in popularity as its been busier lately. I’m glad because the food is delicious, portions sizes are adequate too. We have not had a bad dish yet. My two complaints about this place are 1. The waitstaff is very unfriendly, it often seems as if you are overburdening them when we request hot mustard or an extra plate 2. They only serve bland watered down Green Tea in a tiny teapot barely enough for one cup(all chinese restaurants serve black tea in large pots) they charge $ 1.50 for a black tea tea bag — how cheap can you get — it definitely bothers me a lot especially when I can easily go to other Chinese restaurants equally as good and get my pot of black tea Other than those two items we will return the hostess is very welcoming, she always remembers us and the food is yummy !

Food was wonderful and really reasonably priced, im only taking one star away for not having any high chairs(seriously?) and only providing a pretty sketchy booster seat.

Would like to update Special House Fried Rice review. After finishing full quart of takeout I found 6 shrimp in container. Sorry for the initial review. What ive learned: Never give a review until you are fully finished with the food and your hunger has subsided.

Got half way thru the quart and found 3 shrimp. Average quality. Where are all the good chinese restaurants these days? Cant seem to find one.

I absolutely loved this place. I ordered two appetizers which were great but the ribs I ordered were delicious. I ordered steamed shrimp dumplings which were good but I’ve had better. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce and my fiancée ordered chicken terrakyi which was good but not great. We did not try the dessert or drinks and my fiancée ordered a Coke which we think was Pepsi if that matters.

After passing by the restaurant for a year, my partner and I finally went inside to try Tasty House, and we haven’t stopped going there. We’re very picky with restaurants and will stop going to an establishment as soon as we have a bad experience. This one hasn’t failed us yet and we always walk away happy. Tasty House Asian Fusion offers some of the best cuisine in Yonkers, in an intimate and modern setting. Whether you’re interested in authentic Japanese sushi or just good American Chinese food, Tasty House will not disappoint. Our sushi rolls are alway playful and skillfully designed by a masterful sushi chef. Each roll is picturesque, it’s almost a shame to eat them. We have consistently gotten some of the best rolls here, outside of NYC. The rolls are fresh, light, and flavorful — served on beautifully styled plate. Tasty House’s American Asian food is also quite the treat; from the crispy and light General Tso to the spicy and robust Red Thai curry Chicken, Tasty House knows how to serve up some flavorful food. The waitstaff at Tasty House are fairly diligent, servers strive to make sure you get your drinks and food in a timely manner. Our servers are always polite and courteous, they help make your experience at Tasty House a special one. Prices at Tasty House are affordable, especially with Happy Hour specials. I recommend the $ 5 mixed drinks — especially the Blue Monday and Long Island Iced Tea. The drinks are always made with care and served with some nice froth and fruit. The sushi roll Happy Hour gives you 25% off any roll from 4−7pm, so you can get an amazing specialty roll for the price you’d pay somewhere else for a mediocre roll.

A bit expensive and not flexible with the menu but the food was pretty good so that made up for it. Service was fast and we were in and out within 30 min. Their general tso was very crispy, one of the best I’ve had.

I came here with my fiancé and my friend a few nights ago. the other reviewers are right. The outside looks like a storefront for some sketchy business but it all changes once you go inside. It’s elegant, sparkly, and quite beautiful. We were seated at a very comfortable booth. I could’ve stayed there all night. I ordered the Indonesian Sambal. My fiancé ordered the lo mein. My friend ordered the sushi combo platter. Love the diversity of the Asian dishes we ordered. I LOVED my dish. Granted, this is the first time I was having anything Indonesian(as far as I recall), but I really enjoyed eating my food. I didn’t try the lo mein, mainly because I’m not a fan of lo mein in general but I did try the eel roll from my friend’s plate. It was good! Flavored well! Even though I was so thoroughly stuffed, I couldn’t help but order a guilty pleasure of mine at Asian restaurants — green tea ice cream. Honestly though, I was a bit disappointed by it but it wasn’t terrible. The service was excellent. Polite, patient, and efficient. We stayed back for a long time after paying and they never indicated their desire to kick us out. I typically avoid Asian Fusion only because I feel like they tend to do too many cuisines at once and it doesn’t normally translate well. But Tasty House definitely defied that. I would positively come back!

Don’t judge a book by its cover! The exterior looks a little sketchy, but inside you’re transported into an Asian fusion wonderland! I’m totally in love with the décor in this place. Perfect place for a date night. The food is great too! I’ve had Japanese, Chinese, and Thai here, never had a sub-par meal.

Pretty good food. It’s not fresh pineapple fried rice, its canned pineapple. Of course you get what you pay for. However. I must say it was very tasty! I ordered sushi, and I’m not a sushi expert, but the fish was like ground salmon, not sliced. I didn’t really enjoy it knowing there was something odd about it. With this all said, I would go back to eat here, prices are modest, fried rice is good, good and fast service, but I wouldn’t go back for the sushi.

This place was pretty good! The outside of the restaurant looks a little sketchy but man, once you walk inside, what a difference. I ordered the mango shrimp and shrimp tempura rolls and got an order of wonton soup while my boyfriend got hot and sour soup with some curry. The food was pretty good though the mango shrimp rolls were kind of gross. The texture was all chewy, however the shrimp tempura rolls were great! I didn’t like how the waitresses were standing right by us, looking at us. Made me feel tense. But the atmosphere was very nice. Very intimate.

We often get delivery from Tasty House. They have a huge selection of yummy food. You can order online and delivery is fast, we’ve never waited more than 40 minutes. The pad Thai and general tsao chicken are two of our favorite meals. We’ve never actually eaten in the restaurant, but would definitely try. We will continue to order from Tasty House in the future!

Glad to see they got their act back together with their takeout business. Tasty House is just as good as it ever was in their old location. We’ll have to come in and see how the dine-in experience is.

This place is soooo good. I used to get take out with a friend who lived close by and we were so sad when we thought it had closed. It actually just moved down the street to where Gem used to be. The inside looks great!!! They really put a lot of effort into making it nice. Hands down if this was in the middle of Manhattan they’d be making a killing. The food is GOOD Chinese food. Nothing is drenched in sauce nor does it taste packaged/frozen. The General Tso’s Tofu is always on point! The service is great, they are always making sure you have enough of everything you need. Will definitely be returning. I can see it getting really packed.
