I don’t give many five star reviews, but this one is well deserved ! I’ve been using life cleaners for the past three years. Their prices are fair, they have a tailor on premises seven days a week, they’ll work with you if you have a crazy schedule, and if you pay in advance you get a 10% discount. I’ve also bought bow ties, fuzz removers, lint cleaners, and I’ve been fitted for a tuxedo ! I’m very impressed with their operation, and free candy in the counter doesn’t hurt !

Life Cleaners is the best cleaners I have used. I highly recommend them. They clean your clothes, return items from your pockets, and do it all with a smile. They even have a good tailor on staff, Marcus. I have used him to hem my pants as well as adjust my jackets as I go up and down in weight.

Using them for for several months was my mistake — it was simply easier to use them than find another valet dry cleaner(which I have now done). On multiple occasions they failed to return the entire dry cleaning order with no advance notice or follow-up explanation/apology. Rather than apologize for returning small dry cleaning drop-offs(for example, in one case 3 – 4 pairs of pants, 4 – 5 shirts, 1 suit) over the course of several days rather than at once like a competent dry cleaning service would do the owner, Ross Bodin, simply sends condescending emails after the fact. That, coupled with the fact that my clothes came back appearing just pressed rather than cleaned on multiple instance and new stains appeared on clothes that the service claimed were there previously led me to look elsewhere. I hope others do the same.

Pretty terrible experience — these guys will let you down in a major way, even after you give them your money. I came in yesterday(Friday) needing some shirts dry cleaned for Monday. I paid upfront, and asked if they could deliver — they told me to confirm delivery Saturday morning. When I called back Saturday morning, I was told my dry cleaning would be delivered in the afternoon. I then got a call around noon saying the driver would not be delivering my dry cleaning after all, and that I should pick my clothes up if I wanted them. Since I really needed my shirts back by Monday but I didn’t have a car, I spoke to the manager(Jason), and asked him to find a way to get my dry cleaning(which I had already paid for) to me. He said he would look into it and call me back after 30 mins. After an hour or so of not hearing back, I called up again; this time I was told the driver hadn’t even picked up my clothes, and that it would be impossible to deliver. I was very upset by this, given I had made arrangements much earlier in the day to not have a car today with the promise that they could deliver. I asked to speak to the owner multiple times, and was told that he wasn’t available, though I could speak to him on Monday(which wouldn’t have helped me at all). I ended up finding a ride(and inconveniencing a friend) to pick up my dry cleaning before they closed. Bottom line is I wouldn’t trust these guys; try a different dry cleaner if you can. The prices here are pretty much the same, and they’re happy to swindle you(promise you one thing and not deliver once they’ve taken your money). *** Update based on owner’s comment below *** The owner’s response below is distracting from the issue. The summary is: –I was promised a service, and in fact only chose this dry cleaner because of that service. There are plenty of other dry cleaners closer to me that won’t lie to me to get my business. –I called and confirmed that the delivery would happen in a few hours. –A few hours later, they called and told me it wouldn’t happen. This left me in a terrible position of having paid them my money already but having no way of getting my clothes back before my interview, since they’re closed on Sunday. –I begged the manager to find a solution — he refused. I asked to speak to the owner, and was refused a few times, though they did eventually give me Ross’s number. –By then it was too late; I ended up needing to make emergency plans to get my clothes back in time for my interview. The synthesis is, avoid this dry cleaner if you can.

I have dealt with this company for over two years. The owner Russ is always helpful and responsive. One time I needed to rent a Tuxedo in one day to attend a last minute function. Russ went out of his way on a Saturday to take care of my needs. Russ has even given me his personal cell phone in case I have an issue. I highly recommend this service.

My husband and I have been using this dry cleaner for more than two years. I don’t know why we put up with it for so long, because I have never been to a worse dry cleaner. They have ruined five of my husband’s shirts in the last eight months – always the same, a tear on the left shirt sleeve, just above the elbow. Seeing as the shirts were purchased from different retailers, at least one of the shirts was new, and the tears always appeared right after the dry cleaning was delivered, lets just say I’m skeptical that this was a coincidence. They gave a couple of insufficient credits, but the last time it happened, two shirts in the same batch came back with the tear and the owner refused to give any sort of refund. To add insult to injury, he requested that we send him the shirts so that he could see the damage – then dry cleaned them again and sent them back to us for an additional charge! We won’t be going back.

I love the service of this place and on the rare occasion I’ve had any issue or something wasn’t done right, the owner himself has not only addressed the issue, he’s called me personally. Yeah, really. When’s the last time the owner or any business has reached out to you personally to either answer a question, remedy a problem or express his appreciate for your business? Turn around time is quick. Leaving two full bags of laundry with my building’s concierge desk, I typically get everything back in 24 hours without even asking for rush return. Price is competitive and actually less expensive than other cleaners here in Yonkers; so yep, I’m a fan. Great, personal service, good cleaning, quick turnaround time and great prices. I wish every business operated like this one.
