Gino’s Pizzeria

I do not know what the reviews were talking about but this was not good pizza. The sauce tasted too sweet and not nearly enough cheese. I will not be going back for more pizza. Not worth the walk or the $$$.

Not bad, but nothing to drive out of the way for. The pizza slice was thin crust, crispy on the bottom, thin layer of tomato sauce and some gooey cheese on top.
Stick to the regular slice, their mushrooms are canned mushrooms… blehhh. But the regular is decently good.

5 stars led me here, or led us to getting lost to get here. Total letdown. First off, slices are huge. The regular slice was perhaps the biggest I have ever gotten. Loaded with too much oil though. The slice fell apart when folded. It was not bad, but I wouldn’t call it a good tasting slice. The ingredients tasted of cheaper quality.
The Sicilian slice– everything about it was inedible.

So, we finally got some of Gino’s famous pizza from Yonkers.
We called in our order and I asked for a menu. First thing they mentioned to me they don’t have one. So, then I started to think how do I know if I am getting the right price. I went with my gut and bought a plain cheese large, it was cheap and reasonable.
The pizza took a long time to get to me. I decided to eat some Taki chips whilst I wait for this famous pizza. I then believed they was milling the wheat and milking the cows. Then, to my surprise there was a buzz and ring at my door. It wasn’t the pizza it was a Jehovah witness. After, slamming my door loudly because my pizza has showed up, I decided to call but then another ring and knock happened. Oh yes, it was my pizza.
My pizza was gooey, cheesy, bubbly hot, crusty with a bit of rusty appeal. The type of crust you would want to dunk it in some aged olive oil. As I slide the pizza down my gullet, the textures made me close my eyes and helped me imagine some place in Italy. Anyway, the pizza is worth the wait, and I ate the whole box with my husband. It was good.

Gino’s, what can I say. I live on the lower east side and I was introduced to this place by a friend.
It seemed like a journey, a trek, to go as far as Yonkers for some pizza. However, I was not let down.
Gino’s pizza is the best I’ve had in the city.
A slice of pizza, cooked to perfection with crunchy but soft dough; marinara sauce that is sweet but not too much to overwhelm the slice; and mozzarella that is bubbled to perfection.
Never have I have tasted a slice so perfect, every single time I go.
Gino’s is definitely changed my view on what a slice should be and needs to be and never will I go back to the mediocrity of other slices.

You cannot find better NY style pizza than Gino’s! I’m blessed to live close to these guys and have been coming here for the past 25+ years. It’s been that good all these years! The slices are huge and the service is fast. There are a few tables and chairs in case you need to eat there. I guess I’m a regular now that they know my order :)

One of the best pizza ever and always. Yonkers, New York. Very old fashion, order out or eat in. Always with perfect service and smiles. Just a simple pizzeria with excellent pizza.

Tony makes better pizza than Joey. Their pizza is the best in town for sure and so is their customer service

Delicious pizza! I go here about 3 times a week. The pizza is consistent and delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Best pizza in Yonkers! Their good taste has maintained consistent thru out the years. My first slice from Gino’s was over 15 years ago and I still remember it tasting the same as my slice today ! Their delivery is fast and their prices are reasonable.

Everyone knows Gino’s is the place to go to if you want good pizza. The pizza quality hasn’t changed in the 28 years I’ve been eating there.

With all the dramatic descriptions aside, they make really good pizza. I’ve been eating there for years and even though I’ve moved 8 hours away for school I always try to get a slice in when I come home.

Ginos might be a small lil pizzeria on south broadway but make no mistake its the best slice in Yonkers… I love this place

Finally pizza made the old school way, like we always got on in the ‘90s. Crunchy outer crust with tiny air pockets in between the layers, awesome tasting non-​acidic sauce, and great quality mozzarella. Also the slices, even in a small pie, are huge enough to generously fold over. Don’t even think about it twice, just go ahead and order!

Really good pizza and the aren’t small slices either. Definitely worth the cash.

I was around the area and was craving some pizza and I came across this pizzeria. The pizza here was very enjoyable. My kids loved it. I will be ordering from here on a regular.

I haven’t been to a lot of pizzerias in Yonkers but Gino’s makes you feel like you really don’t have to. Best yet !

This pizza is very nice old school slice.
No fountain soda, cans only. But odd stuff too like Hawaiian Punch!
As someone else said, it has been here forever, back when it was a good neighborhood and I’m glad they have not left.
Everyone knows what good hot pie is and where to get it.
Park your car, press the button on the Meter to get free ten minutes, get your pizza and go. There is very little seating anyway.
Now if only the Park Hill theater would reopen.

We have tried many joints in NY and we’ve struggled to find that slice that really brings it home. Gino’s really does it! Such a rush of memories from our childhood when pizza used to taste REAL. Gino’s really does it! We are for sure changing our party orders over to Gino’s!
