Best family owned pizzeria in Yonkers! I have been coming here since I was a little girl and all the people that work here are so friendly and welcoming. It is such a nice, clean environment and gives a really at home feel. The prices here are affordable and the pizza is delicious. It’s usually never too oily or burnt. Definitely make sure you bring cash, they don’t take credit cards. Also, I recommend trying their Italian ices — they are the best!

The chicken bacon ranch pizza is the best pizza I have ever tasted. A must have if you come here. Looks family owned the guys behind the counter knew almost every costumer by name which was nice. Overall great place

I am on the search for the best pizza in westchester and right now, this is a running #1 for me and my S.O. The cheese, sauce recipe, and crust thickness are all on point. can’t give it 5 stars because I haven’t tried all of westchesters pizza to definitively call this«westchesters best», and they only accept cash which can be pretty inconvenient. I get that when you’re the best you do whatever you want. but I had to go to the ATM in the store which was I think $ 3. ALSO, their homemade Italian ices, while they had so much promise and I see other reviews that rave about them, my advice to you is to try your flavor before you order. I got«cherry» and it was most definitely not cherry. I couldn’t figure out if it was chemical watermelon or dishwashing detergent flavored, but it was not good. that being said, I really want to try the other flavors. thanks dunwoodie pizza!!! pizza was very impressive. mmm

Dunwoodie Old school pizza place definitely like going back into time. No frills no glamour just simply good pizza. Thin crust good cheese leaving you satisfied and hearty. Whenever I stop in New York I make a point to have a slice of pizza somewhere somehow. This place made not have done any upgrades in eons but sometimes that works like it does for Dunwoodie. Also had their garlic bread sticks and mozzarella sticks. Man and if you get those wrong than you are simply in the wrong business…

I stopped here to see if I could get a late breakfast after visiting friends nearby. They didn’t have a breakfast menu(after all it’s a pizzeria) but I asked if they had a ham and egg sandwich and the guy behind the counter said«Yeah, I can do that.» And he proceeded to make me the most delicious ham and egg sandwich I’ve ever had. First he toasted a long hoagie roll in the pizza oven, then slid in some scrambled eggs mixed with slices of ham. It was big, it hit the spot and it was only $ 6. Yeah, I would definitely go back.

Pizza the way I remember it from my childhood! The thin crust that I love, the flavorful cheese that I have missed for so long! Even the atmosphere is the way that I remember pizzerias. It’s like traveling back in time in a very good way.

I’m giving this rating despite a terrible experience my last visit. Dunwoodie was my favorite pizzeria for a long time. Then, I moved away. I returned countless times over the two years since I left and the pizza was still the same. The italian ices, the pizza, and garlic knots have been consistent to my liking for close to ten years since I first moved to east Yonkers that long ago.

Nice guys, nice old school joint, stopped in for my first pie bc they don’t deliver and I live in Woodlawn where the pizza is awful. The crust is thin and chewy which is nice but needs flavor, maybe salt. The sauce has nothing to it and probably is not homemade. The cheese is yummy and greasy. It smelled so good in the car, I could hardly wait and it was really just ok. I will try Flames but looks like I will have to go to Frank Pepe’s in Yonkers or Zero Otto Nove in Little Italy for great pizza. :(Sad because it is so close to home…

These guys know how to cook! There’s nothing mediocre that comes out of this place and that gives me a sense of pride for my local area. This place has been a family favorite for years. Great for after the kids practice or game, good for lunch or for a late night after work dinner. And the guys have always been nice and courtious to me!

Good pie. I’ve only had the sicilian slice and it’s really good. Big and cheesy and soft and crunchy. Good pie.

Great food and great old style looking pizzeria. Service is great and they have healthy alternatives here. It is in a great location and the prices are actually not too high. It is a little bit too far to receive credit customers from the Raceway but man if only people from the races knew about this place. Keep up the good work! Go by and try a slice, you will not be disappointed.

I think I dun got a woodie after that pizza! Wow!!! Impressive! I had a slice of the thin cheese and a slice of the thick sicilian… I couldn’t decide which was better. I kept taking a bite from one and then the other and back and then again… they are both sooo delicious! I also tried some cherry soda in a bottle thing which was the best suggestion as well as the chocolate italian ice! Love it all! I heart Yonkers for its Dunwoodie Pizza :)

I wish more Yonkers pizzerias would take notes from this establishment. Everything here is good especially if you like a good thin style pizza. I wish they did deliver but i guess that would take away from the experience of coming in and talking it up with the guys behind the counter.

By far the best pizzeria i have ever been to. I know this may sound exagerated, but it really is the best combination of sauce, crust, and cheese i have ever come across. I have been to plenty of pizzerias in manhattan, queens, brooklyn, the bronx, and westchester, but this definately takes first place. I think i would have to say that the regular slice and the pepperoni calzone are my favorite things to get. Also, i love their blueberry italian ices(they have about 10 flavors to choose from). Nice staff, good menu, consistently amazing. Six Stars!

I ordered a tomato, ricotta, and sausage pizza and I tell you what… it hit the spot!!! The people were extremely friendly and the wait wasn’t that long. I would most definitely return and this time, I’ll try something different. It’s too bad I can’t get anyone here to make me a pineapple pizza. :-(
