Customer satisfaction is clearly the priority at this Dick’s Sporting Goods. This attitude carries from the manager Andre, to department staff, Anthony and Herbie. Found a great deal on a kayak, but was missing a part so I needed to contact the manufacturer to order and to verify if an accessory fit, so they held it for me overnight. I had done my homework and knew what model I wanted but they took it down for me so I could sit in it to test paddle length– it isn’t just your height but also the width of the boat to consider. They suggested accessories that were on special offer, less costly. When I came back to pick it up, they had located the missing part and attached it for me, and collected my other gear– vest, roof rack carrier and paddle so I could be in and out quickly. I have a Dick’s nearby but will make the trip over the TZ bridge to return to this one for our next kayak purchase. Awesome service!

Huge, clean, variety filled sporting goods store located way in the back of the Ridge Hill complex. As confusing as the Ridge Hill signage is for getting around, when you finally get to Dicks they have their own huge outdoor parking lot with free parking! The operations manager came out to help the line of 10 people with only one customer service register open and asked«will that be all» referring to the two boxes that we had for returning purposes of which he assumed we were buying. It was awkward that it appeared that there may have been the same line for purchases and returns. Then he «had to» give us store credit based on the lowest possible clearance price even though we have a unique situation that we were just visiting from across the country for my son’s birthday and were not going to be pay another $ 35 to check these heavy items on the plane so we thought we’d return them here and repurchase them once we got back home. Both boxes were unopened and in mint conditioned as well as free from any stickers or markings down.

Nice and convenient location for south Westchester residents. Store is nicely stocked. Poor service though. Many articles with«wrong» price. Bicycle service at lowest professional level. Store is good only for«grab and go» articles. Again: good merchandise selection, poor management!

I like Dick’s in general. They carry a lot of products, and the store is super neat and clean, which gets points from me. Howeva. The last thing I bought in here was a pair of Nike shorts. The price was clearly marked on the shorts: $ 22. This was the Nike sticker price, there was no Dick’s sticker. They rang up at $ 24. I pointed this out to the cashier, who explained to me that it was not a mistake, that while Nike suggests a price of $ 22, Dick’s was selling them for $ 24. Whoa. Now, I know how the MSRP works, but when have you ever seen a retailer bump the price up* instead of knocking it down or holding the line? I explained that I was going to pay only $ 22 for the shorts, and that if he couldn’t make them $ 22, then I would like to see a manager or whoever could help me with the change. The manager rung them up for $ 22 no problem, acting like it was a crazy mistake, but based on what the employee told me, I think it’s common. If you were a soccer mom in there outfitting 2 kids, it would be easy to lose track of a dollar price difference here and there. Not cool. I like the employees, who are helpful, and i like the store, which is attractive and packs a huge variety. I have avoided spending money in here since, but if it happens again, I’m knocking this down to a 2 star review. I would encourage people to stop in here, it is a nice store. Just don’t get Dick’ed. Couldn’t help myself.

We’ve shopped in the store several times before today. I’ve purchased my son’s soccer flats and cleats, soccer balls, accessories, and other items. We have always been happy with the selection, service, and prices. But today the staff really outdid themselves. We went in to purchase a large item that we saw in another store, upstate. We were disappointed that this store was out of the item(a punching bag of sorts) however I was amazed at how helpful«Joe» was. He called several other stores, explaining that they could get it shipped to the yonkers store. Unfortunately every store was out! However Joe patiently explained the different options, and finally encouraged us to simply call back whenever we wished to see if it is in stock yet. When I compare the service we received today and in the past to other sporting good stores in Yonkers, there is just no contest.

This Dick’s was a super original to the Ridge Hill Complex and still is! Before there were many stores and restaurants here, it was pretty much just the movies, Dick’s, and H&M! Glad to see they’re sticking it out. Rarely ever busy, it doesn’t seem like they are really reeling in the business. There is also a Subway about to be built right next to it, so perhaps the sandwich eaters will want to buy sporting goods afterwards. The employees are very nice and willing to help; the place is enormous and has its very own public restroom. Know that if you have to go and aren’t sure what to do next! That often happens to me. Sports goods galore, there isn’t much you can’t find here. That is unless you want underwear. They don’t have that(cough cough Modells does cough cough). Other than that it’s just a Dick’s. Not much different than others!
