Benefit Brow Bar at Macy’s

So let me just say I was a first time costumer at the brow bar in queens center mall today. I had the appointment with Dana let me just make this really quick my eyebrows have never looked so perfect in my 20 years of life lol. She was amazing very friendly and didn’t make you nervous or anxious at all. Their super sanitary and clean she really really knows what she’s doing. They take you into consideration and actually ask you what you would like then she brow maps your eye brows and the wax is super easy and it’s amazing. After their makeup artist concealed and filled in my eyebrows and taught me how to do them myself. They even tried their new eyebrow product on me which is amazing it’s their new angled brow pencil I must get it lol. The wax is a bit pricey at $ 21 but how can you complain when you get what you pay for and more. I can’t speak for other locations but as far as this location goes and Dana their the bomb !!! ⁵⁄₅!!!

Maybe it’s just me, but the first feature I take notice of when I look at a face are eyebrows. That is also why I was hoping, for the past nearly 3 months, that it was indeed just me who takes that weird, initial stock of a stranger’s brows, as I was praying that no one was paying any attention to mine. I decided to grow mine out after my last crappy wax at the local nail salon visit. For the last 2 years, depending on which waxer I was (un)lucky enough to get, there were times I walked out of there looking like Drew Barrymore in Mad Love, and other times like Gaby Hoffmann in well, anything. Before that, I was having them done by a wax specialist on Ditmars who had a serious overbooking issue, and I often found myself waiting for an hour in a cramped room with other displeased clients whose various waxing appointments were all scheduled at the same time as mine. So, I decided it was time for a change. I had read good things about the Benefit Brow and made an appointment with Dana at the Queens Center Macy’s a few weeks ago. I concur with all the other glowing reviews. My initial impression was how sweet and personable she was, and I felt so comfortable with her right away. She asked me what my concerns were (yes, my eyebrows often times come with concerns!) and what shape I would like them to take. She then meticulously mapped them out for me, showing me where they would start, arch and end. I was hesitant at first because I feared they may come out too thick, but she reassured me that all would be fine. And it most definitely was. She was detailed and thorough as she highlighted my brow bone and filled my brows. It was a Friday night, and the place was pretty busy but that didn’t deter her from taking her time. I also liked that she didn’t try to push any products on me– she just told me which ones she had used and I felt no pressure to buy. I did however purchase the Benefit brow gel because I loved how it looked on me, and I have since realized that it works much better than my usual Laura Mercier brow filler.
The wax was definitely more expensive than the ordinary nail salon one ($ 21 + tax), but SO worth it. I have received several compliments on them since my visit. Apparently, I’m not the only one who notices eyebrows.
I will definitely be back.

I’ve had my eyebrows done by both Marjorie and Dana and they are both absolutely phenomenal. I come from out of state to get my eyebrows done here and I don’t regret it at all. They have reshaped my eyebrows and gave me tips on how to keep them looking full. I’ll be back again soon!

The Benefit Brow Bars are amazing. Yes, it is pricey ($ 21 for «brow mapping,» trimming, waxing, tweezing), but I think it’s worth it. I have received the best services at this location, and I’m now a regular here. Marjorie does my brows. She is patient and asks you how you want your eyebrows to be done. She is very gentle and doesn’t fill them in too harshly. I only have to go once a month — I used to go every two weeks at this other place that messed up my brows :(highly recommend! And according to these other reviews, Dana is good as well!

For starters, I’ve never had my eyebrows done ever since that previous awful experience I had. So I was just looking around in Unilocal since I’ve heard people raving about it online, so I’d thought I’d face my fears & check it out. I was just fumbling around their service menu & Dana comes right in & asked me if she can help me with a consultation, I was hesistant but I thought I’d give it a try since it was free.
So she does this magic thing to let me see what she was going to do with my brows, & I thought what the heck, I was seated there already so I gave it a go. I have trust issues & it was my first time to have my eyebrows waxed. She convinced me that she was an expert, so I told her that my sparse brows depended on her magic, & she did the best thing ever! Can’t wait to get my brows done next time. Look for DANA and trust me, you’ll feel like a brand new person after your session.
It’s $ 21 for the eyebrow wax, you won’t feel anything at all but the relief of having to look good. So worth it. She also recommended a few products that I bought (in sephora) & gave me a free sample. Had to tip her for doing such a good job. Thanks Dana! :)

My brows come out perfect every single time and she will always make sure you leave looking your best! I’ve tried almost every place and way to do my eyebrows and I’ve broken out every time, but benefit in Macy’s queens center mall is honestly the best. I’ve never broken out. They truly understand eyebrows and acclimate to your needs. The only people I trust to deal with my bushy eyebrows. I’ve gone here for 2 years and will continue to. LOVE THEM!

Dana is extremely amazing! She knows how to make your eyebrows look great. She shapes them perfectly well and always makes sure they look good. Make sure you make an appointment though!

Dana started doing my brows and she has changed my life !!! My brows have never looked better. She gives awesome service, the price is so worth it.

I have been going to the Brow Bar @ Macys’s Queens Center for four years. My eyebrows needed rehab and Dana made sure to start from the beginning with me! I need to be guided like a three year old! No one else is allowed near my brows anymore! Only the three musketeers are allowed near my face Dana, Marjorie and Monica! They have taught me to embrace make up and my «beauty.» I can’t say enough about these three ladies! The manager however is sketch! Keep up the great work ladies!

I get my eyebrows done here every 2 to 3 weeks. Yes it is 20 dollars which is pricy but I was spending 7 dollars every week at the nail salons and they looked horrible! Get your eyebrows done by Margarie or Dana.
They will take care of you. The new manager isn’t the nicest but pay no mind to her. The girls that work there are great! My eyebrows don’t need to be touched for almost a month now! I would recommend this place definitely. The makeup is also great.

I purchased the eye-​brow kit which is amazing. I brought two which costs $ 60 so I got a free eyebrow wax which was less than mediocre. My eyebrows weren’t even even. The threader used the eyebrow kit to clean them up but I would never pay for that. The eyebrow waxing is $ 20.
