What a wonderful place. This is my third time here at the Inn. Kendra is the best Innkeeper. I love staying here. The rooms are all excellent. I have stayed in all three. It is a quiet reprieve from my hectic life. Had a wonderful night’s rest, and then I sat on the porch this morning, just taking in the serenity, beauty, and calm of the morning. Now let’s talk breakfast, since this is a Bed and Breakfast. Kendra serves all-natural foods. Homemade Granola with homemade yogurt and strawberries from her garden. Then a bowl of fresh fruit. Next were farm fresh eggs scrambled with veggies and some wonderful sausage. Next was a Rhubarb coffee cake, and the fresh milk and apple juice. I couldn’t stop eating. If that were my last meal, I would be a happy man. Everyone needs to experience the Sunflower Inn of Yoder.

I cannot say enough good things about the Sunflower Inn! It is everything you would want out of a bed and breakfast, and more. It is located in a quiet Amish community and run by a very friendly woman named Kendra. When we arrived, Kendra greeted us and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Sunflower Room(pictures of which Ray D has graciously uploaded). The room was bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with the signature piece in the room being the beautiful, hand-sewn sunflower quilt. The bathroom was very spacious as well, and everything was impeccably clean. Once we were checked into our room, we strolled about the grounds and discovered all of the locals: two dogs(Peanut and Pepper), a rooster and a hen, and a group of adorable kittens mewling at us from the barn. We had dinner at Carriage Crossing restaurant, and after an hour spent talking on the spacious porch turned in for the night. The bed was extremely comfortable and I got a very good night’s sleep. The next morning, Kendra took the meaning of «Bed and Breakfast» to a whole new level. We came downstairs to a feast of fresh fruit, fresh milk, fresh cider, baked oatmeal with peaches, egg and sausage casserole, toast, and homemade coffee cake(which was phenomenal, I might add). The food was delicious, and we had a wonderful conversation with the other couple who was staying at the Inn for the night. We left the Inn feeling well-fed, well-rested, well-treated, and absolutely in love with the Sunflower Inn. The Sunflower Inn of Yoder: I challenge you to find a more charming bed and breakfast(or one with a better breakfast even), because I can say with confidence that it can’t be done.

Delightful impeccable B&B just across the road from the tiny Amish/Mennonite town of Yoder. Super comfortable bed, air conditioning, a porch and rocking chair perfect for pondering the mysteries of life, and a delicious enormous breakfast cooked by Kendra the owner before your eyes. Don’t fail to visit the furniture store about 100 yards down the road which has the most beautiful handcrafted oak furniture and quilts you’ll ever see, all created by local artisans.
