—-BEWARE!! — –
Iam a local resident of yelm/​rainier and have been most of my life.
Found these guys and was excited to have a local shop to instal a lift kit on my jeep.
To keep a long story short, I called TnP auto to have the work done.
They told me this was routine for them. «done a bunch of em!»
And it would be bout $ 800 with an alignment.
So I dropped it off in the AM, by mid afternoon I was expecting a call and never received one. So finally late afternoon I called, spoke to a lady who was very short with me, and acted as if I was wasting her time.
Tech came on the phone, told me they were working on it and they will let me know when its done.
Next day I called again for an update. The Lady told me they needed some little rubber part, they could get it there today no big deal. I said great and off we went.
Now she finally called me, Said «hey you’re all done. We didn’t do the alignment and the balance is $ 800+.» I said whoa what? She said «well we couldn’t do the alignment and those rubber parts we put on were $ 225 plus instal!»
I then called TWO other shops and was quoted $ 17.00 for those same parts. Online for $ 6.00!
I Just bit the bullet and said ok. Picked it up that night, started to drive it and it shook vigorously around the road. I figured it was due to the lack of alinement.
Took it to another shop to have the alignment done, They pointed out broken pieces on the jeep and said we can’t work on this in its present state.
My rear axle was shifted 2″ to the right plus the broken pieces.
Took it back to TnP. They said «oh yep those parts are broken!»
It was cracked when I put it back on but I thought it would be ok!
They never informed me of BROKEN parts on my vehicle when they finished.
So they kept it for several more days and finally after calling many times they told me I needed to get another $ 300.00 part. Reluctantly, I did (Through an online vendor) and dropped it off to them.
Several days later again I call and they can’t make that part work and they need this OTHER $ 225.00 part.
In response I asked them to stop, and informed them I would be picking it up that evening.
They’re lack of customer service and apparent inability to perform the work they said was «routine» was enough for me.
I gave them multiple chances and sadly they did not come through.
I won’t be returning here. Its a bummer, I like supporting local shops. But this was a terrible experience.
So now I’m paying for a shop to redo and finish what TnP started and couldn’t complete.

This out-​of-​the-​way shop has always impressed me. Well-​trained technicians, straight-​talk, fair prices, no BS. I’d recommend them any day.
