Garden to Gourmet

I have been here several times. Tried the veggie burger and the beet salad both were great! It’s a little on the pricey side and kids meals left a lot to be desired. Pricey and not very good. I go back for the salad and burger all the time though!

Ok so when Daniel was there Garden to Gourmet was incredible! His food and personality kept me coming back almost weekly but since they let some people take over management that really don’t know what customer service and integrity are all about, it lacks what I need to return… Sad. It was great… Now it’s just a place I don’t go anymore :(

Yes, this place is awesome! Their food is always fresh and always tasty! Come on the weekends for their special meals! My only issue is that they have a very limited and small menu to choose from. We have come several times and end up getting the same things because of lack of choices but have never been disappointed in what we get either! Always great but i do like to come on the weekends so we can have at least one more option to choose from! They are a little pricey but its all organic foods fresh from the farms so you pay a little more for that freshness… and its worth it!

I had the four cheese grilled sandwich. It was amazingly delicious! And the veggie burger is to die for!!! One of the best places to eat in town. I love the décor of the place as well and the drinks … Yeah just go see for yourself. You won’t regret it.

Received a msg on Facebook messenger from the cook at Gardens to Gourmet that was very unprofessional only because I posted on Unilocal about their only Chef Daniel leaving the restautant. I was surprised to get this message after spending a lot of money at this place. I will never step foot at this establishment again!

I’m in love and I want to shout it from the rooftops! So delicious. I love pesto and theirs is on point. I love bread, and again, amazing. I ordered the tomato and pesto egg sandwich and I couldn’t even continue my conversation because all I did was devour my food. I love balsamic dressing and I spent the last five minutes (post-​meal obviously) trying to figure out how they make it so scrumptious. It has such a wonderful ambiance and it’s hidden off the main road — they should definitely have more signs pointing to the gloriousness. Definitely give this amazing place a try!

This place is amazing!!! Hands down the best restaurant in Yelm. Such a good experience, service and food! I would love to even work there! We enjoyed the marinated steak salad, crab linguine and kids Mac n cheese. Mckenzie was very attentive to our table and the chef Daniel came out to chat with us and was super nice. This place way exceeded our expectations and we are so glad to have a good place to go in the future. Way to go garden to gourmet!!! Can’t wait to go back.
Editing this review just for a couple reasons. Third visit was on Saturday but for breakfast this time. The waitress we had was very slow, forgot our waters and was slow on the other drinks. She came back to the table to ask us more questions about how we wanted our meal prepared and then once it was served never came back to the table once to ask us how it was or if we needed anything. Food was once again great as usual but the wait staff needs improvement. We will still be back.

We had the freshest salads here. And the sliders were great! Also a good selection of wines.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s a little pricey but everything is so fresh and the portions are huge, which makes the price worth it! The atmosphere is relaxed and the servers are friendly. I recommend the steak salad and African ginger ale!

From the front of the house to the back of the house the restaurant is great!
I love the food and environment. Chef Daniel takes pride in his work and it shows in the plates that hit the table.
My wife has has been a server at the restaurant for a couple of months and also really loves her job. That alone says a lot about a restaurant.
Keep it up guys!

Food was good, smaller portions though and pricey. Kids sliders and side salad was over $ 11!

Great veggie burger, not dry, and was full of flavor. Everything we had was delicious and cooked perfectly. As stated in other reviews, Garden to Gourmet is one on the only good restaurants in Yelm. Their kombucha was good butbid recommend their ginger ale if your picking between the two.
The atmophere was clean and comfortable café style not too fancy. They even had a kid station for coloring.

My breakfast order; 2 eggs over easy potatoes and bacon extra crispy. The eggs were undercooked and burnt, the bacon was not cooked properly both had to be sent back both did not come back until everyone else was finished with their breakfast. The carbonated beverage I ordered did not show up until after the meal. I am a regular customer and at the very least was very disappointed. The chef said «I am not very good at cooking breakfast I am better at cooking dinner specialties» the waitress who was very clueless, but a very nice person tried her best. I like dining there breakfast lunch or dinner because it is a very different place and a really cool owner. But in the near future I will not be attending and will have to give it a second thought but I will give them a second chance just not right away.

Fairly new establishment with great interior vibe.
Fresh flowers on tables with a clean atmosphere.
Greeting and service is outstanding.
Sandwiches are done to perfection as well as temperature of protein. Salad nicely toss with just the right amount of dressing.
Thank god my daughter knows about this place because there are no signs regarding this restaurant anyway along the main road.
I guess it’s by word of mouth. However, my overall first impression was beyond my expectations.

This place is great! The décor is lovely, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. They use fresh, high quality ingredients, and even the beverages they offer are of higher quality; you won’t find any high fructose corn syrup here. It is one out of perhaps two restaurants in town that one can leave feeling good about what they just ate.
Other reviews mentioned issues with pricing and service, and I must say that as for the service, it has improved dramatically since they first opened, and the prices are fair. They do have more expensive specials on weekends, but two people can easily have a nice meal for $ 30-​$ 40 if you stick to the regular menu. They are a new business, and as such will obviously have a few kinks to work out, but I have been here numerous times and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I highly recommend giving them a chance!

I finally got myself over to Garden to Gourmet tonight, and the only thing I’m disappointed with is that I waited so long to get here!
Yelm is certainly the land of depressing, uninspired, just-​plain-​blah restaurants (with a couple exceptions), and Garden to Gourmet is SUCH a welcome addition to the neighborhood!
Not only is the staff kind, attentive, and all around delightful, but the food is first class! My husband and I don’t eat meat, so we can’t enjoy everything on the menu, but between the bruschetta and the grilled four-​cheese sandwich we indulged on tonight, we were in heaven! Everything from the side salad to the tomatoes to the cheese to the bread was so full of flavor and so wonderfully FRESH. There is something amazing about vegetables that taste like they were just pulled from your garden!
We can’t wait to come back for breakfast! And we sure hope GTG sticks around and shows Yelm what we all should come to expect from a great restaurant, and hopefully more restaurants in this city will follow suit!

Found from positive Unilocal reviews, and would agree that it has a fresh, modern atmosphere. The food was fresh, tasty and satisfying. Service was friendly and efficient. It was a little difficult to find, but definitely worth it! We are here with our young family. Recommend if you are looking for something fresh, organic and delicious!

Love love love! Walked out of this place with a happy heart and content stomach. Definitely a must try if you’re looking for some fresh lively flavor, a place to gather, study, just taste local flavors. taste life! :) they are revamping in the next few months according to the cook and owner to include tapas and wine tastings as well as live music. Beautiful décor and this place has a story to be told. It’s hidden near a yoga and chiropractor spot but if it stays hidden, I wouldn’t mind. Away from the hustle and bustle and take time to relax and dine on delights. Organic coffee, great breakfast, beer, and wine! Will be returning for sure. Recommended for dates, small family dining, drinking coffee and doing paperwork, or even a solo night out.

Great service, warm inviting environment, with a gourmet menu that is nicely priced.
I had the Grilled Chicken/​Caesar Salad — C’est magnfic! I also had a nice citrus/​chamomile gourmet tea. It paired marvelously.
You’ll find it tucked back in the Burnett Center of Yelm. There is plenty of parking.
I whole heartedly suggest you try them, and then you’ll totally love the garden-​fresh gourmet food that Olympia and Yelm has been awaiting!
