Blacksheep Joe’s BBQ

The staff seemed to be friendly at first, but then just seemed not to care much. The food was not good at all. I almost had to put it down after one bite, but decided to get the most out of my money.

Best BBQ I’ve had. Will continue to come here and tell people not to pass by this place. 2 thumbs up.

Was passing through Yellville and saw this place. It just had that great look from the outside so I had to stop.
The inside of the place is just as welcoming as the outside. Very nice décor.
The ordering process is counter service which is what I’ve grown accustomed to with bbq. It doesn’t take long to get your food as the staff is very friendly and quick.
I had the pulled chicken and chopped pork combo with BBQ beans and chips. The chicken was great. Cooked just right with just the right amount of smoke. Same goes for the pork. The BBQ beans had a nice mix of sweet and spicy with a small hint of smoke. The only thing that was disappointing was the chips. They were just regular old lays potato chips out of a bag. I was expecting homemade, seasoned thick kettle chips.
The tables were ¾ full and everyone seemed to know everyone yet they were friendly to an outsider like me. The owners even stopped by my table to make sure I was enjoying my meal. Great people.
If I am ever in Yellville again I will most certainly be back to Blacksheep Joes. 5 stars all around.

Great atmosphere. Great food. Local owners. The pulled chicken is my favorite. Beer is cold! Basically, it’s all good!

Cute, great cachet, super friendly, nice local crowd. Heartbreaking — The food was not very good. The brisket was overdone & the shredded chicken was like dog chow. The baked beans were canned & potato salad was good.

So first off this is the only place in yellville that I know of that sells beer with your meal. It’s not a huge selection but it’s still a couple different brews and it fits the bbq really well. Now to the food. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better brisket ever. It was smoked to perfection. The fried okra was great also and so was the baked beans. The decorations here are awesome and fit in for bbq in small town south and it’s perfect. I can’t say enough good things about it.

Great food and atmosphere. Had combo with ribs and brisket– will definitely return! Perfect amount of smoke on the meat. Lose a star for cole slaw (bland) and potato salad (mayonnaise based and I like mustard based).

We were passing through town and were. looking for barbecue. Saw this place on Unilocal and took a chance. It’s only been open 3 weeks and it’s very good. Brisket was tasty and tender. Found out they were sold out of ribs and desserts-​it was 1:30 on Sunday. Better get there early for those. Very nice décor and clean. Would definitely return if I lived there.

The ribs are delicious! New building with a great atmosphere. TV’s and they will have beer soon.
