We stayed at the Antioch Gate over Thanksgiving; it was the perfect space for me, my partner, his two kids, and my sisters. It’s spacious and warm, with a large kitchen that we spent a lot of time in, cooking a large dinner on Thanksgiving Day with family who still live in YS, and many smaller informal meals. It’s walking distance to the shops downtown and a stone’s throw from the college with Glen Helen just on the other side. The house itself is sweet and quirky, with two connected living rooms, several bedrooms upstairs(two also connected), laundry facilities, a small den off the back living room that boasts the house’s one TV. There are two pianos, one in the living room and one on a screened-in porch! There’s a backyard area with grill and gazebo, and a telescope in the den that the extremely cold weather kept us from taking out to use. We loved it! We’ll return again and again; since we’ve both got family and friends in YS and throughout Ohio, this house is a dream for our family to visit out hometown but still have our own space to use as homebase and to gather with loved ones. FWIW, we did not experience the smell/mold that the user who visited in August 2013 mentions, and the house was spotlessly clean when we visited in November 2013.
