A teriyaki joint in the middle of nowhere?(thinking to myself) Meh… it’s probably not that good. I walked in and I was pleasantly surprised to see a Korean lady standing behind the counter. Suddenly I felt very nostalgic as I recalled the countless number of teriyaki joints and Asian restaurants back in Seattle that were practically nonexistent here in Yakima. I immediately felt right at home and was excited to eat some good Asian food. I was slightly disappointed at the lack of choices on the menu and the fact that they didn’t have spicy chicken teriyaki. I finally settled for the regular chicken teriyaki. You won’t believe this but it was actually one of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The meat was soft and tender, with no burnt flavor! There wasn’t even a single piece of fat in sight… amazing. It also came with some steamed veggies and a good helping of rice on the side. This definitely made up for the lack of choices, as I prefer quality over quantity. The service was friendly and the lady asked us if we were from around the area(obviously cuz you don’t really see that many Asian people hanging around Yakima) If you happen to be visiting Y-town, stop by here for some good teriyaki that won’t disappoint.
