This place is super dank! The produce is very fresh and reminds me of grandma’s sandwiches. Pricing isn’t too bad and they offer a solid punch card deal. The environment is also very cozy and makes you feel at home.

Stopped by on our way to Dave Matthews Band in the Gorge today. We were looking for a place to eat lunch and a bonus was the fruit stand behind the restaurant we were going to. We purchased peaches, blackberries and other fruit. The stand selection of fruit was all local and appeared fresh, although they did have a bad case of fruit flies. my big issue with the place came after we popped next door to eat lunch at the Mexican restaurant for about 20 min. We returned with a «no parking» notice on our window(see picture I uploaded). I found it to be rude, the smiley face they added came across as spiteful. I understand if I pulled up to only eat next door, but that was not case. Plenty of fruit stands in this area. I recommend stopping at another.

I can’t believe this place only has two reviews. We found this place on Unilocal as we were passing through town. The veggie sandwiches and salad were just what we wanted. All of the veggies were fresh and everything is handmade. They even mill their own flour. The service was excellent as well! The two women working behind the counter were so friendly. This would be a weekly lunch spot if I lived in town.

The sandwich i had was the turkey gobbler, and it had cream cheese, cranberry sauce, turkey and lettuce on some rather tasty bread. I also had a cup of clam chowder, which had some of the biggest pieces of clam in it that I have seen anywhere. It is definitely not something from a can. The service was fast and friendly, while still giving a nice laid back atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back here!

Not sure why Unilocal says ‘Closed’ — I was there with my family on the 7th and it was very much open! Its possible that because this is attached to the ‘Residential Fruit Stand’ at the same address, it might only be open seasonally, but I’ve no idea. This is definitely one of the best little sandwich shops I have ever been to. It’s absolutely like stepping into your mother’s or favorite aunt’s living room for a bite of lunch. They have a build-your-own sandwich menu(just like at home), using fresh-baked bread, and their soup du jour(fresh asparagus) was spectacular. They also had cobbler, which(although pricey for the size) was very, very good. The best part though, was the setting — you sit at a little table inside a gift shop/kitchen store, so you’re surrounded by various collectibles, odds and ends and kitchen gadgets which are fun to gawk at. My mom ended up walking out with an extraterrestrial-looking steaming basket thing that none of us had ever seen before. Definitely worth a stop if you’re travelling through Yakima! It’s very easy to find and close to the freeway!
