K & N Nail Salon

As the previous reviewers noted, this salon is filthy. There was one friendly employee but the rest are rude. I got a full set and it crumbled within a week. They do not have a good selection of shellac.

I got acrylic nails done here. Won’t go here again. They’re uneven. They didn’t put enough coats on so you can see through the paint. Also had to have her redo the design. I have to go get it completely redone.

Several years ago, I had frequented this nail salon and always enjoyed good results. Then I moved from the area. When I returned a few months ago, I went to K&N for an acrylic overlay.
I was stunned at the difference in the salon. What was once a clean, charming and efficient salon had clearly gone down hill. The mood was sluggish, the ambience dismal, and the overall lack of cleanliness alarming.
I immediately felt wary and almost left. I wish I would have, but unfortunately I didn’t and long story short, I ended up with a fungus infection. I suspect this was due to unsanitary tools? I had planned on getting a pedicure too, but after fully observing the unclean environment, I declined that service.
In it’s current condition, I wonder how it can pass inspections by the health department and question how it can earn a valid state license.
At any rate, I do not recommend this salon and urge you to look elsewhere. Cindy’s on Fort Street in Southgate is almost as bad. (I did walk out of there!). Kiss Nails on Dix Hwy, Lincoln Park, is the best I’ve found in this area.
