Mike Haney designed and installed a custom HVAC system for me in a house I was rehabbing. I gave him free reign to get it done, and paid him the full amount of the original deal. No confusion so far. It’s a rental property, and the tenant recently made me aware that there are some significant air supply leaks in the basement, where the supply lines come off of the main air cabinet assembly. After several attempts to contact Mike over about a week’s time, he got back to me on July 26. We agreed to meet at the property on Monday July 27 to assess the problem. Mike did come out, looked at the situation, and said he’d need to get a few basic supplies to execute the repair, and that he would return on Saturday August 1 to take care of this. Mike did not show up, and has not contacted me once from then til now. I’ve called and left two messages, I’ve sent him an email, I’ve texted him. Absolutely no response, and six weeks have gone by. I’m now forced to engage another contractor to fix what Mike has screwed up, and the 2nd contractor is showing me some really poor work that Mike did in this job. I’m looking at several hundred dollars remedial work, and if I let the new contractor fix everything that Mike did poorly, I could be spending over a thousand dollars. I asked Mike for no discounts doing this job. I expected to be treated fairly with good workmanship. I’m extremely disappointed, and would not recommend Mike Haney’s services to anyone at this time.
