My son 3.5 yrs old and I both took surf lessons with Sheldon this weekend while vacationing on Wrightsville Beach. Sheldon was absolutely amazing. He did such a great job with my son’s lesson. I wasn’t sure my son was old enough or if he’d have the attention span for an hour lesson but he had a blast! He was even getting up on his own by the end of the second lesson. If I’d known it would work out so well I would have booked lessons all week for both of us! My lessons were equally amazing. Sheldon is a great instructor and I was also getting up on the board by the end of my first lesson! It was so much fun! I highly recommend this surf school and specifically Sheldon especially if you’re getting lessons for your kids. 3 is the perfect age to start! Sean’s private surf lessons are professional easy to book and accommodating. Our whole experience was great.

Awesome is the best way to describe Sean and his lesson. My 8 year old had a blast and got up and surfed his first time out! He’s great with kids and his love for what he does is obvious.

If you want to surf for your first time or just improve your surfing, Sean is your guy! Sean is an absolutely phenomenal instructor — extremely knowledgeable, fun, and encouraging. He goes above and beyond in every way to make sure you finish the lesson a better surfer than you started! Sean is the only instructor I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn to surf; he’s the best and you and your kids will have an absolute blast!!!

Sean is an amazing instructor. Super positive attitude. I’ve had surf seasons before, but Sean was able to teach me a few simple tricks to help with popping up and maintaining my balance. I would definitely recommend a private lesson with him! Thanks again!!!

They were great! We did a family surf lesson for the four of us. Our kids are 10 and 8. They got up on their first try. Sam and Miller were our instructors. Very friendly and very patient. They started us off in the sand for a brief summary of what we need to know and then we headed to the water and learned to paddle and standup on very small waves. Lots of fun, great exercise, and everyone at Sean’s is very nice. We will be doing it again!

Sean is an awesome instructor. I did a two hour lesson and learned a TON with him in that time! He taught me about everything from getting up on the board to picking the right wave to having good etiquette. And the price was way lower than most of his competitors! Would definitely recommend him very highly
