Simple and great! Our server was ok but for this restaurant she fits. My wife and I both had steak and it was really good and the price was great! The apple pie was so good and homemade! If you are in the area you must stop in and enjoy.

Had lunch at Nicky’s yesterday and the food was great! There was a group of 5 women and we we were all very pleased with the quality of our meals. Prices were low. Our server, Kim, went out of her way to accommodate us with a large enough booth since there was a very busy lunch crowd present. She was very personable and made our luncheon a pleasant experience. Will most definitely be back!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I ordered the broiled haddock with mashed potatoes and green beans, and could barely touch my plate. The haddock tasted as though it was very recently defrosted. The green beans were overcooked and looked brown(not green). The mashed potatoes were simply inedible. By the time the waitress came back to collect our plates my plate was still so full that she assumed that I wanted to wrap it up to go, but to be honest I wouldn’t even take it to feed a dog. However, they have very good mozzarella sticks and a decent Tuna salad. My two stars mainly come from the waitress who was incredibly nice and sweet. I would not come back here.

The food is delicious and ample portions. Staff is friendly But it took 40 minutes to get lunch after ordering. We would go back.

Stopped in to visit since I am moving not too far down the road. Place is always packed and had to see for myself what the place was all about. It sits across from Lake Pearl on the Wrentham/Norfolk lines. They serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and it is a pretty welcoming place, with a very nice staff that are all quick on their feet. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but it is pretty large inside and has room for lots of people, nothing fancy but seems is very family friendly! Menu for breakfast was a large array of egg dishes, omelettes and pancakes and waffles. Coffee was great and blueberry pancakes were just right. Plus the prices are decent and we will definitely be back for ice cream and lunch since the menu looked delicious!

Great food, great service and the prices can’t be beat. I love the Chicken Parm dinner and when they have the turkey dinner special, it tastes like home cooked. The hot fudge sundaes are very good. The hot fudge sauce tastes homemade. They always have a chalkboard full of specials

I’ve been going here for years. Have recently stopped going in. Food is just ok. Prices have gone up for just so so quality. Most of the waitresses are great but a couple of older waitresses act like they have sticks up their asses. Not a favorite anymore. Try Goochies in Plainville instead.

Y’know in teenage movies how there’s always that ONE restaurant that all the kids go to, like, all the time? That’s Nicky’s. I grew up in Wrentham and on a half day, the place to be for lunch was Nicky’s. It’s a very«local friendly» place and they know many people by name. Immediately when you walk in you see the ice cream bar, which sports very reasonably prices cones and to DIE for shakes. I don’t know what’s so special about them, but they are always A++. When I was a kid, I would take the $ 5 my mom gave me for washing the windows and go directly to Nicky’s to buy a shake. There’s a few tables and a bar with stools in this area is you want to sit inside to eat your ice cream, or there’s some tables outside. The dining area is off to the left and is in dire need of a remodeling. I think it contributes to the small town feel and in my experience, small town restaurants are the best– a theory has been tested on the drive from Massachusetts to Montana and back. Several times. But don’t be discouraged, the food is very good! Very-side-of-the-road-diner-esque. If you like onion rings, you won’t be disappointed. They have a drink we used to call a lemon-line ricky, not really sure what it is but it was very good! It’s my understanding now that this is usually some sort of cocktail? Our waitresses must have thought we were so cute. All the servers and EXTREMELY nice. Think the sweet old lady that gives out king sized candy bars on Halloween, then multiply that by ten. They genuinely care about the food they serve and how your experience is!

Service is great — long term hand picked staff who treat you like you are a guest in their kitchen(as opposed to their dining room.) Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specials are usually very interesting. Certainly NOTHING to complain about! If you aren’t happy, tell your server(nicely)and she’ll fix it for you(although we’ve NEVER had to send anything back.) This is an unpretentious place, badly in need of aesthetic remodeling, and the right place to stop when your hungry. Not a «date night» spot — and they don’t want to be one!

Excellent breakfast. Prices were reasonable and the service was attentive. The dining room was clean and quiet. I’ve driven by this place many times and now regret not trying it out sooner.

Classic food. It was always a special place to go with my grandfather as a child and still never disappoints. Food is great, simple and done well. And who can go wrong with some awesome ice cream after a delicious meal. Staff is always friendly and ready to please.

They have a great burger and the onion rings were awesome. I think the onion rings were hand battered, yum! Fast service and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend as a great lunch or breakfast spot.

They have the best onion rings hands down in the world. They are light and fluffy and amazing. They also have wing dings my favorite. The burger is great and the seafood is always great. Whenever I am in the area I stop by. Everyone is always so nice and they offer great service. The milkshakes are great too. I cannot say enough for this local business.

Every Sat/Sun Greg and I go out to breakfast. If we are in Newport, it’s an easy answer for where to go. However, if we are in Norfolk, there is always some debate because there isn’t necessarily an «awesome» place near his house. Given the area, and other local resturaunts, Nicky’s is definitely the best, but that is as far as I will go in saying it what it is the best at. I’ve tried a variety of their foods, and unfortunately, I haven’t found that one great meal, the one meal that may make this 4 stars. Their bread is always super soggy, and is the exact kind served in my sorority(come on… spend a little more on nicer bread, that was a college sorority). Their bacon is good, and I often get egg whites, but unless you like 1000 calories of cheese, make sure to only ask for minimal cheese. Also, I do not like home fries,(which the eggs come with), and they are always under my eggs, so I have to cut off the portion of the eggs that touch the home fries. I get the homefries still cus greg likes them, and he doesn’t like me to ask for them on a seprate plate(that would solve my problem). It would be nice if they used bigger plates so this wouldn’t happen. Their chocolate chip pancakes are good, but a little dry and definitely just from a box. The atmosphere is homey, you always see the waitresses there, and god bless if anyone ever goes there for dinner(not sure I would want to see what comes out for that). Overall, the staff is friendly, the place is clean, the atmosphere is comfortable(you would be overdressed if you were in jeans), and the food is just basic. However, we still tend to come here every weekend.

This is an older place that tries to do it all with stools and counter, ice cream stand and regular seating. Been there for breakfast. Great service from friendly staff. Fairly inexpensive with just average food. It’s tough to screw up breakfast. Nothing is going to blow you away. I’ve had lunch specials a few times. Decent portions but fairly bland. Today I went in for some takeout sodas and witnessed something that accounts for the low score. I saw what looked like the dishwasher come from kitchen to refill his soda. Coughed several times into his hand then proceeded into kitchen, picked up bread and made a guests sandwich. No hand washing. One draw back of an open kitchen… It may have been an isolated incident but makes me question ever eating there again.

My fried clams were tasteless. Chowder was not too bad. My dining partner ordered an open faced turkey sandwich. The turkey was sliced deli meat– not real turkey as stated in the menu.

My family and I have been going to Nicky’s for as long as it’s been called«Nicky’s». I have had seafood and fish along the east and the west coasts. Nicky’s has the BEST seafood and fish AND onion rings I have ever had. There is absolutely no contest. They win. Their waitresses are seasoned professionals and are awesome everytime we go which is usually at least twice a month for lunch. If you have never tried them, I encourage you to do so and if you a bad experience, please give them another chance. I can practically guarantee you will not regret it…

Best fish & chips I’ve ever had. Best fried clam strips too! Nice light batter and white, flaky fish. Bonus — it’s like a trip back in time to a long-lost era of roadside stops — authentic, clean, and conveniently close to(but not at) the outlet mall.
