Outside of Grandma’s kitchen, this is the best Armenian food I’ve ever had. I even lived near Glendale, CA(the Armenian mecca) for ten years and no Armenian cuisine held a candle to Shiraz. It is the standard by which all other Armenian restaurants should be judged. They load up their salads with mint, so that all other garden salads for the rest of your life will seem like they’re missing something. The sarma, kefta and losh kebab are heavenly. This is a great family-owned restaurant with a friendly staff, who sweetly but unfortunately remember me all the way back to my awkward middle school days before I was allowed to use tweezers… Shiraz, you humble me in so many ways.

I love this place! A small to medium sized dining room(we usually do takeout). The food here is delicious and relatively inexpensive for the portion sizes you get. They’re friendly and they’re food is out fast. The chicken shawarma is unbelievably good!

It’s a great restaurant. Compares to the high-quality places of Middle Eastern food in the Boston area. Highly recommend that you come here for lunch and for dinner. Try the various kenab dishes. They are outstanding

The good: for under $ 7 you will get a basket of very fresh pita bread. Order a falafel roll up and be offered a side of either lentil soup, hummus or salad. The hummus was lemony and very creamy and fresh. The bad; The soup was uninspired and almost bland compared to the Armenian cooking that I am familiar with.(My wife is Armenian) Every cup of soup that came out of the kitchen was embarrassing. Whoever was serving this tepid temperature soup ladled it in such a sloppy manner that it covered the outside of the cup and filled the saucer below it. It looked like they didn’t care. The falafel was disappointing. Doughy, moist and chewy. If you want a great falafel, go to Pita Pockets in Amherst MA. My wife didn’t like the flavor that I thought was subtle and barely noticeable. It was a big sandwich but overall, bland even though it has some tahini sauce in it. We have had better. The place filled up at noon and the patrons were obviously familiar and returning customers. Maybe the food was just too turned down for me, too Americanized. I also thought that the waitstaff could be a little«warmer» and friendlier. The atmosphere was at best said, chairs and tables. Nothing special.

Ok so this place is a regular lunch place, the food has always been good and it is very inexpensive. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has been steadily declining. Lunch today was deplorably bad, ice cold lentil soup, badly overdone chicken and a salad dressed with some commercial crap dressing. The place was a favorite so kinda bummed out that things have been so bad. Hopefully they turn things around soon.

I love the fattoush with feta and salmon. It is my favorite lite lunch during the summer!
