Salon Nina Raffaella

I randomly stumbled across this salon while exploring Crompton Collective. I’m new to the area and thought «wow! What a beautiful salon!» After reading reviews, I was pretty excited to call to make an appointment an was in desperate need of a cut! I finally had free time/​day to call. Wow. Definitely not the type of service I was expecting. At first I asked if there was anything open today. There wasn’t, totally fine and half expected. Then I asked if there was anything available for the following week. The answer: no we’re closed all week until the 14^th. Then dead silence. Finally I asked if there was any other availability or are they not taking new clients. I think it clicked that yes I want to make an appointment, so he asked my hair type and which kind of stylist I want to work with. There’s one for $ 45, another for $ 57 then Nina is $ 100. After he said he prices he goes «Soooo…» Then nothing after that. I don’t know what that «so» was meant to imply but clearly this isn’t the salon for me. I have previously been flying to Seattle to get my haircut, but let’s be honest, I think any woman would pay whatever for a decent haircut. Either way, I’ll book elsewhere.

Kevin fit me in at the last moment on a late afternoon. He was absolutely meticulous. Pricing is very reasonable, especially for amount of time spent. After I got home and washed my hair the next day, I was very pleased.
I really enjoyed the minimalist aesthetic and lack of gossip or noise that one usually has to go through at salons.
The loss of one star was due to a certain… rigidity in the style. As if… a cut must be done a certain way, or it shouldn’t be done at all. And that’s just not how my hair behaves, and not the conversation I’m used to having with a stylist. Next time I will bring a photo with me. I did not like how it was actually styled after the cut, though as I said above, I really like the cut a great deal (which is by far the most important thing).

I had a wonderful experience here. I had an ombré and hair cut done with Carole, and she did an amazing job. Even though it was too blonde for me (I have never had my hair colored before), everyone loved it. I did email her to tell her I thought it was too blonde for me, and she quickly emailed me back and letting me know that I could get it fixed free of charge. I went back a week later and she toned the blonde down for me and I absolutely love it! Thank you, I will be coming back again! Love the color, love the cut!

I started going to this salon in Feb of 2013 after the tragic death of my hair stylist (knew him for 20 years). I googled hair salons closer to home. That had great reviews. After traveling to Newbury st for my hair over the last 20 years I really wanted something closer to home. I found Nina’s salon. I am very surprised at any negative comments regarding the Salon. I love it. Nina is amazing and Kevin has been wonderful. It’s difficult finding someone that can do your hair and you leave there feeling like a million bucks. I have been lucky twice. I have to say I am thrilled that I found them. My hair/​color has never looked better. The salon is beautiful! I would highly recommend them to friends and family. It’s great having the caliber of this salon so close to home, didn’t think it was possible! Well done Kevin and Nina.

Firstly, the salon is really beautiful — very minimalist chic. If you didn’t know you were in Worcester you might think you were in a hip salon in London (it reminds me of London for some reason). Carol cut my hair and she was very nice and my hair turned out great. She noticed that my hair got tangled very easily and suggested I come back for a demineralization treatment, which I decided to do because I was sick of brushing knots out of my hair. That treatment has definitely made a difference and I’m happy I decided to take Carol’s advice. And as a plus, it is upstairs from the Crompton Collective so you can go shopping before/​after!

I had a small window of time today and desperately needed a post Caribbean vacation trim. Carole wove magic and layered and snipped and trimmed and voila, I feel like a new woman. The salon is white, sharp, chic and comfy. It was a wonderful quickie day of beauty. Turn down Harrison St. and park in back for free. Kevin, the owner was most accommodating and very friendly.

I have difficult hair and am something of a «salon slut» because I keep searching for the right place. I found it and I don’t have to drive to Boston. Nina took a great deal of time and care with my hair, asking at each step if what she suggested was OK with me. I left feeling good about my hair, Nina, and Worcester. I did have trouble with my bangs at first because I am not handy with a dryer and when I called to ask for a consultation with Nina to show me what to do, there was no problem at all. As I watch the canal district develop I am more and more pleased and am glad that Nina’s place is part of this new era for our city. I had no problem parking – compared with Newbury St in Boston, very easy.

How can you offer someone an appointment for 415 and say well the hairdresser leaves at 5 and if there’s no time to blow dry then you have to leave it wet but we do charge for cut and blow dry whether we can get to it or not? Haha… bad customer service or what?!

The Staff at Salon Nina is incredible Friendly & Gracious they make you feel very comfortable. A very relaxing atmosphere. Nina Works hard to understand exactly what you are looking for and does an amazing job Giving you just that! I love my Hair Color & Cut! It is clear that your Happiness is important. The salon Is Beautiful Airy & beyond Clean!

I’ve been going to this salon for a few years now and Nina has consistently given me great cuts and coloring. She is dedicated to providing a cut that you will be happy with, and understands how your hair behaves and the best way to cut it. This is a fabulous salon, we are lucky to have it in Worcester, I am so glad to have found the salon and Nina.

I would also like to ad that since I have posted my review. I have had the employees from this Salon email stating that my review is an unfair statement because I was a model. Why should it matter if I was a model. I went into the salon to try the service. It is really too bad that the stylist did not do a better job because I thought the salon was a very nice place great product being used.
To the employees for this salon. Let it go. My review is just my OPION !!!
