I went here for lunch today. Food was self served buffet style. I tried a little bit of everything. My favorite was the stewed vegetables and stewed goat with potatoes. My friend and had a full plate of food and a drink each for $ 15. It was a good deal for the amount of food we had and everything was tasty.

I no longer live in Worcester, but I discovered this restaurant while I still did and it is excellent. The lunch buffet is full of delicious, healthy dishes and the price is reasonable(can either do all-you-can-eat or pay by the pound). Some of the food is just like what I had on a trip to Kenya a few years ago and brings back good memories from that trip. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend the Safari Café and usually stop in when I am back in the Worcester area visiting friends.

I’ve wanted to try the Safari Café for a long time because of the great reviews on Unilocal and tonight we had dinner there. It was really wonderful! It was a buffet and there were about eight different choices and I tried every one of them. A few dishes were made with beans and plantains and it was a wonderful combination. Both of the chicken dishes were delicious. One was a baked chicken legs and the other was chicken thighs in a delicious sauce. The collard greens were terrific! Not bitter and lightly sautéed, they were tender and nicely seasoned. The added bonus was that Jane, the owner, had Tusker beer! I haven’t had a Tusker beer since Uganda so I was thrilled. Besides the food, Jane, the Kenyan woman who owns the café and cooks all the food, is the warmest and welcoming host. I could have stayed all night talking with her and eating her delicious food :) This is really a hidden gem. The food is great, reasonable and the host is hospitable. What more could you want?

It was my first time here with my husband and they were serving buffet style fare. There were many tasty options options to choose from and I loved the flavor of their beef sambusa(spicy and flavorful). The interior décor is typical no frills for mom and pop joints but it is clean and homey. For 22 bucks we got all you can eat plus sambusa plus two drinks… you can’t beat that! Great service and conversation. We will definitely come back again.

Safari Café is a real gem! Fantastic food, Great service and Unbelievable value! The owner couldn’t be more welcoming and the food was so tasty. An interesting combination of seasonings and ingredients. The buffet allows you to taste so many different dishes, each one better than the one before. I highly recommend it and suggest you bring your friends.

Four stars for the food, six stars for service averages out to a 5. The woman who owns the place is a real sweetheart. She will go out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The food is quite tasty and, for the price and the fact that it’s a buffet, it’s a great value. I’m a fan of the Kenyan food. This is not a «bluffet», folks — come down and get your chow on!
