Papa John’s Pizza

The pizza is always amazing and the delivery guy we always get is super nice! They always get the pizza to our house within a half hour! This is our favorite place by far! Keep it up!

Called late on a Monday, was told 45 minutes for delivery, which seemed like a long time for a monday night, but the delivery only took about 25 minutes.
Here comes the problem, the pizza was under cooked, the dough had that raw doughy taste. It was not really edible, so I ended up eating only the cheese and the pepperoni off the pizza. I will never go there again.

I purchased a Groupon for 2 pizza’s and was very pleased with both the service, selections and the flavor of the pizza. The person working the desk was a delight to speak to while I waited. I would most definitely order again! I gave 3 stars because in my mind what pizza is 5 stars? Papa Johns was a solid 3 stars for takeout pizza.

Really good, consistent chain pizza. We’re on the email list and we get awesome coupon codes that we use on the app. Super good deals for quality pizza that’s the same every time. I like their slightly sweeter sauce and yummy crust you can dip in the free garlic-​butter. It’s always ready when we pick it up.

I’ll start by noting this was my first experience with the Papa John’s brand, and their marketing campaigns had frankly set pretty high expectations. The experience failed to meet those expectations, however, so much so that I feel it necessary to Unilocal about it.
My feedback (for what it’s worth) is both positive and negative — I’ll start with the positive first…
My order included two large cheese pizzas (one «Tuscan» and one regular) cooked their «normal» (not «well done») way, and while I recall reading some negative reviews about undercooked food, I have to say that I found them to be quite tasty and enjoyable (the dipping sauce that comes with each pizza is also a nice touch). Had that been all I ordered, I might well have become a repeat customer.
However…
The third pizza ordered was a 1-​topping pizza, and it literally had only ONE (1) little scrap of topping on each slice. Let me say it again… only ONE (1) little scrap of topping on each slice. And they have the nerve to even call that a topping and to charge people for that!?! Seriously, it was obscene. Their marketing and television commercials go well beyond «misleading» and ventures well into the realm of fraudulent.
As with any large franchise, some locations may be better/​worse than others — I understand that — but I have to say I found it disturbing (yet quite telling) that their customer service feedback form (on their corporate website) already includes «SKIMPY TOPPINGS» in the select/​dropdown menu for complaints, which leads me to conclude this is an systemic, brand-​wide flaw with their entire organization and product.
«Better ingredients… better pizza…» only works if the ingredients actually make it onto the f-​ing pizza.
I won’t be back.

Rude service. Slow delivery. Cold pizza. Uncooked chicken wings.

They always make good pizza. I usally order through their app on my android phone. Its really awsome and easy to order pizza. They are good with delivery. I never have problem with them.

I Am a big fan of papa johns. For a big chain the pizza is really good. Plus you can’t beat the price.

Meh. 1.5 hour delivery. Bland and soggy pizza. Chicken nuggets are their definition of «boneless wings». Go somewhere else.

I was very surprised that the pizza wasn’t so bad afterall since I hate these national chain type pizza places. My friend ordered it online, and it arrived 20 minutes later. We got a thick panned, regular and thin crust. I only tried the thin crust, that’s what I only like. It was crispy and the sauce wasn’t so bad after all. Every box of pizza came with 2 peppercorn chilis just to spice things up.
