Only complaint is waiting over an hour to get a seat but I do have to say it was worth it. Food was amazing especially the home fries. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend this diner for breakfast as long as you don’t mind waiting.

I came in here on a not so busy morning. There was two other tables other than me this day. I try to sit in a booth so I have room to do all my homework and immediately someone came over and told me I had to get up. They told me that they must save it for larger parties, but one person is not allowed to sit there. Normally I am okay with this, but how this woman came up to me and said it was extremely rude. I was so offended I almost left, but then I thought the food might be good, so I will stay. The food was okay, just a tip, if you ask for light on the butter on your toast, they will give you toast SOAKED with butter. I’m sure even if I said I wanted no butter they would come out like that. I probably will not be going back here, unless I am in the mood for rude remarks and my arteries clogging.

Best place in W. Boylston to eat breakfast! Our waitress was amazing and the food was wonderful! Only negative I have is a young blonde waitress there. She was very nice but totally clueless when we only asked for refill on our water. She looked confused and asked our waitress to get it instead. Other then that, wonderful place!

Had a take out order for lunch and it was ok to average. The Turkey 3D had real bacon which was great but the Turkey meat was the Deli thin sliced version rather than real Turkey meat. The french fries were the frozen type and not real hand cut type. Had a side of their homemade Corned Beef Hash and it was Ok also not great the potatoes were the frozen type out of a bag that were shredded. It was a good but far from being the best like all fresh ingredients made from scratch. Next time I will try a full breakfast and update my review. Everyone working there was friendly and inviting which was nice. Their portion size of everything I saw was very generous and the prices were very reasonable and on par with most Diners in the Worcester Area.

We love Lou’s! It is well worth the wait — the service is friendly, the coffee doesn’t stop and the food is the best! We love the variety although we always order our faves — the big breakfast and the veggie scrambler. Don’t forget the homemade hash and the Italian toast…

Oh my goodness — largest portions ever. This place is the eptiome of diner comfort food. Their homemade hash is to die for. This place is furthest from where we live, but I’m always willing to drive further just to eat here over the other diners in Worcester. Just remember to bring some cash!

This place is the ultimate breakfast spot in Worcester. I would possibly go as far to say it’s the best. My very own lovely lady was in town from Florida. We were looking for a nice place to go for breakfast before our trip to the aquarium on a warmer than average Saturday morning in December. The wait wasn’t too bad. It’s a little difficult to go in and get seats. You need to know where you are in line and in your wait. Which can be a little tricky. It’s well worth it once you sit down. We got ourselves a nice booth in the back. Both our breakfast meals were excellent. Eggs cooked just right, my pancakes were cooked perfectly. Bacon, sausage, ham all done perfectly and my chocolate milk was perfect. Not the cheap watered down stuff other breakfast diners try to pass off. But the real kicker here was their home made corned beef hash. If you like corned beef hash. I believe a side of it was $ 4.75 for a nice heaping plate of it and it is really just phenomenal. The prices are spot on with other breakfast diners in the area but the food taste and portion is far superior to others I’ve visited. We will certainly be back. The service was also very good.

Huge portions of amazing home cooked food at a great price. Get the big breakfast. Very busy, so get there early but it’s worth the wait. The pancakes are amazing.

I’ve only been here once but the food was so good I still think about it! they had so many interesting omelette options that it was hard to pick! but whatever I got was amazing. my only complaint is when I went I was alone but I had about 5 shopping bags, a backpack, and an art portfolio so I sat at a booth so I had somewhere to put everything. before even greeting me some nasty waitress came over to YELL at me for sitting at a booth by myself. I agreed to move to a small table immediately but she still went behind the counter and bitched to the other workers about me. so all my stuff went on the floor. it got dirty and kept tripping others customers too. I still would go back for the food though.

Such a cute place! If you’re hungry and looking for a cheap place to eat, definitely come here. The food size is enough to fill you up early in the morning. Our server was so friendly and the food was delicious! Overall I really liked how they decorated the place, everything felt so comforting.

Always yummy. Big Portions… the best homemade beef hash in the area. Fast and friendly service. You do usually have to wait… but sooooo worth it.

It’s ok! Nothing better than any other breakfast restaurant considering the classic eggs bacon and homefries.

Lou Roc’s always has a line out front and is popular with many people. I ate there for the first time recently and had the home made corned beef hash which was very good relative to the usual local offerings. This is one of those places which is a glutton’s delight as the portions are all double-sized. And it’s also one of those dirty dive places that many people love but not so much for me. I’m not sure I would go again unless someone in the group wanted to.

Best diner in the area. Corned beef hash is fabulous, omelette Blackstone is great. Efficient waitstaff, with the level of cheeriness varying with how frantic they are. Lunches decent too– a patty melt was a little too greasy(even for a party melt!), but the meat loaf special(on Tuesdays) tastes like mom’s. Big portions for the price.

I’m not very good at stopping for breaks during massive 10-hour car rides, as I prefer just powering through the miserable traffic jams, but Lou Roc’s was an excellent idea(not mine). Also, as a non-Massachusetts resident, I apologize for ever pronouncing Wor-chest-er instead of Rooster with a W — good thing I didn’t think to ask for Worcestershire sauce. The pictures do not do the portion sizes justice. My veggie quesadilla, which came packed with green peppers, broccoli, and onions, was the length of a cat or small dog. The home fries formed a hill on the other side of the plate. Extra points for the amazing kielbasa sausage. Please do not try to be healthy here(actually, please do not try to be healthy at a diner, period). I ordered a small«tossed» salad and it came in several layers: a bed of iceberg lettuce(the weakest link of the green leafy family, way below spinach), two wedges of tomato and two slices of cucumber dangling on the edges, and some carrot shavings and hoops of red onion on top. It was a fail. I stomached only three mouthfuls of salad before diving head first into the quesadilla. I can’t speak for the other non-breakfast options, but rest assured that you will spend the remainder of your car trip burping meaty fumes and regularly adjusting your seat belt to accommodate a few extra layers.

Even after growing up and living in Worcester for 21 years, I am still finding new awesome breakfast diners there when I return home. I was in the city this past weekend for a beer festival so naturally I was looking for a good breakfast to help get me going again the next morning. My friend recommended Lou Roc’s and they didn’t disappoint. We arrived at around 9 or 10 on Sunday morning and expected to find the place packed. To our surprise the place was full but there was no line. We had to wait a little bit for a booth because we were a group of 4, but it wasn’t more than 5 – 10 minutes. Once we sat down the service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Monty Carlo and home fries, both of which were excellent. The prices were decent but not the best I’ve seen in the Worcester diners. The food, atmosphere, and service were all great, so I’d be happy to return here the next time I’m in the area.

Yummy! The place has a very homey feel, and seems to be a place for the locals. I ordered the The Big Breakfast which came with two eggs, two sausages, two strips of bacon, toast, home fries, and pancakes. The pancakes were not unnecessarily large, and extremely fluffy. The sausages were my friend & I’s favorite. The downside was that it was cash only, and I forgot to bring cash. My friend covered for me. I felt a little out of place since they were a lot of regulars. I would come back though if I’m ever in the area again.

This is one of those hometown diners that everyone loves and people are willing to wait for. I tend to go there with my wife every now and then. When we do go, we always tend to get the same things… Jeffs hash, and my wife gets either stuffed French toast or crepes. These are dishes that are delivered with excellence. The portions are enormous and the prices are good. This is only a cash establishment but they do have an ATM at the entrance for those who never bring money with them. My big tip for this place… Get there before 10 to beat the rush!

We’ve been here several times, and the service and food are always excellent. Prices are low, cash only. Only issue we have here, and its a persistent issue is lack of adequate parking. The lot is always full.
