The papusas are amazing! Also they have the best guacamole around! With homemade tortillas chips, delicious! The tacos are also very good.

We stopped in hoping to find pupusas that rivaled our beloved Balompie in the Mission in SF. We finally found the place! We had pupusas(rice or corn), madrones, tamales with green sauce, and it was all incredible. The prices are also amazing. Served with sauce and cabbage slaw, we are happy to say that their pupusas are delicious!

Super tasty! Give it a try. We had some papusas and a carnitas dinner plate. Everyone there was eating the soup(pozole I’m assuming). I’ll be going back to try it! Buen provecho!

Good food but horrible service. Took 2 hours to get my food and they weren’t even apologetic, they had the nerve to defend the wait. This is the second time I’ve been here and the food is so good it won’t be the last.

I really love giving this restaurant my business. It is run by two sisters who are super nice and hardworking, and the food is fantastic. Every time I order from here(I always get pickup or delivery, I haven’t actually eaten in the restaurant) I get bean and cheese papusas and/or zucchini and cheese papusas. They come with a cabbage slaw and a delicious red sauce to top with. If you like extra toppings, definitely add a side of pico de gallo!

I love the food here. Sometimes the service is slow, but it is definitely worth the wait. All their entrees are plentiful. They season everything perfectly. One of my favorite restaurants in the city for sure!

Hacienda Don Juan is a no-frills Mexican place with huge portions and tasty food. The home made chips and salsa that you get if you eat in are pretty good, the chips are perfectly crisp and made from corn tortillas. Order a pupusa, that seems to be Hacienda’s specialty. They make a great appetizer and even the«Crazy» pupusa of the specials menu is less than $ 3 and it comes with a cabbage slaw and hot sauce. The supreme burrito is a hulking monstrosity that sensible people would share with another person. I didn’t do that and felt terrible after eating so much food, but I’d order this again in a heartbeat, its one of the better burritos I’ve ever had although at $ 11 it isn’t exactly cheap. I don’t know what magic is happening behind the scenes in these little mom & pop Mexican places, but the burritos are far more flavorful than you can get at Chipotle even though they usually include less variety in the fillings. This isn’t a restaurant that you come to for the ambiance or service, but I expected that going in. If what you want is a heaping portion of authentic Mexican food, there are not many better options in all of Central Massachusetts.

At times the work of a critic comes easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and themselves to our judgment. I say this before proceeding into my review as a fellow who enjoys good food, from good legitimate people as I tend to praise what deserves praising, which in my opinion was far from what I experienced today at Mr. Juans restaurant. I knew my experience was going to be far from satisfactory as soon an I tasted the bland watered down salsa which seemed to remarkably have less flavor than a bowl of sugar free Raisin Bran cornflakes in the morning. We were then greeted by what seemed to be employee of Mr.Juan. She proceeded to look down on us in disdain as she took our order and answered several questions as if she was doing us a mere favor as she had to attend to our table. I then took a bite out of my tacos, which were at this point on a turbulent downward spiral towards mediocrity. Yes, their pupusas may be acceptable in the social norm you may call«Worcester», but this restaurant would not last if located anywhere else on the entire globe. — R.M.

This is a 3 – 4 star review. The food was amazing, we got the burrito supreme which was huge yet very tasty, and then a mixed plate of rice, beans, guacamole and a few meats. Made for some great leftovers too. As for the service, it was definitely below par. They were slow to give us any attention, never refilled our waters, and we had to wait a long time before our meals came out. After we finished, we weren’t sure if we were supposed to go up to the front to pay or to wait for a check, but sure enough, 10 minutes later they swung by to give us the check, slow and delayed as usual. Really slow and unprofessional services for a place that has fantastic food.

Their food was okay the main appeal is the fact that you can have it delivered. But in general their food isn’t as good as a sit down Mexican restaurant.

By far way better than chipotle(sorry). Their burritos are so huge and tasty. It can be a but expensive but so worth it! They also deliver so if you just want to stay in you can but I recommend calling in advance for delivery. They might turn you down because they have too many order which okay because this place rocks.

At home feel. Hearty, soulful food. Best enchiladas I’ve ever had in my life! My gf and I were however, the only white non-speaking Spanish people’s in there.

So great! My daughter had to being in papusa for school, and I called to see about ordering. He walked me though all the flavors, how to wrap/store/reheat them. And BTW — I bought one for myself and it was AMAZING! I can’t wait to come back with my family for lunch.

The portion sizes are good for the prize, but the service and environment are lacking. We were left waiting while 2 tables were served before us because they were friends of the owner. The waitress barely minded our table, and appetizers were served with dinner. The environment was that of a sports bar with soccer on two TVs. The food was cheap and tasted it. Water tasted unfiltered and salad unwashed.

Stopped in here after running some errands on Main St. Ordered Camerones Calientes for take out, the food took about 20 minutes to be ready(it got busy after I walked in). Meal was hot and delicious. Portions were a good size and the woman taking orders and serving was nice. I’ll definitely be back for some authentic El Salvadoran food. Yum!

I just really wanted a taco and didn’t feel like leaving my house. Mexican that delivers? Ok, I’ll try anything once. I ended up getting a burrito and a tamale and chips and guacamole and a soda. There is a $ 15 dollar minimum for delivery, FYI. The burrito was HUGE, which I was grateful for being a poor grad student; leftovers for finals week! The thing that really made me enjoy them was their service. They patiently looked up where my address was, and the delivery took a good 20 minutes less than they said it would. Now, when they first got to my apartment, they gave me my food and left. I had realized they forgot my soda, but it was only a soda so I didn’t mind so much. Not more than 5 minutes later I get a call from the guy who delivered my food. «I just realized that I forgot your soda! I am so sorry! I have it, and I will be right back with it!» And he was, pretty quickly too! I will most definitely order from them again in the future.
