Eggroll Lady & Fish Shack

Oh my God so good. We got Lucky and got a seat. Don’t get mad if it’s a standing room only. This place gets busy, only 4 tables inside and 2 outside. This is Worcester best hidden gem.

Very large portions of tasty fried food. Egg rolls really are delicious. As everyone notes, it’s not a large location. and SHACK is the operative word. 4 or 5 tables, and a few picnic tables outside. Limited parking.
My only complaint/​negative comment is that even if you call ahead, they don’t start cooking your food until you actually come in and pay/​give your name. I made a comment about this to the cashier, and he explained that in order to keep the food as fresh as possible, they don’t drop it in the oil until you arrive. There’s isn’t much advantage to calling in ahead, so be prepared to wait even if you call in an order. For eating in, it’s super fresh fried food, so no complaints there. Totally worth a visit!

Love this place! Definitely get the eggrolls and crab rangoons! The fish is awesome and always fresh too! The duck sauce she gives you for the eggrolls is hands down a unique and tasty sauce!!! I’d eat here every day if my cholesterol would let me!!! And if you like Kimchee try her version — slightly sweet and a nice hint of garlic and ginger! Goes great with lots of things

Delicious. But warning big portions and very heavy. You will need to sit down or nap after lol

I had the fish and chips because my family raved about this place and they were right, it was delicious with a nice big piece of fish. If I drove by I wouldn’t have expected such great seafood by the looks of it, but this place has developed a strong following of people that love the place.

This place never disappoints! I have been multiple times and I am always blown away. I highly recommend eating here! Get the egg rolls and chicken fingers!

I really want to love this place because the owners are so nice but the food is just ok. Everything just taste like fried. The egg roll meat is actually so tasty but it doesn’t have enough in the egg roll to be enjoyable.

A perfect spot for fried seafood, plus some egg rolls and crab rangoons too. Truly a one of a kind place. It’s a very weird concept for sure, but somehow it works. Excellent for take-​out. The owners are incredibly friendly. We’ll definitely be back. The fried scallops, fries, and egg rolls were all excellent. Note: Only open 3 days/​week (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).

This was my first time here and it was a great experience! The Eggroll lady was extremely nice and welcoming and so was the worker & her daughter. Best customer service.
The food was AMAZING. I love it! She gives a lot. So it’s definitely your money’s worth. The Cole slaw was really good as well. Also, she gave us a beer batter fish to try and it was delicious! I’m definitely getting that next time.
You guys have to go here.

Saw the good reviews on Unilocal and decided to give this place a try while visiting in town. Ordered some fried scallops and some shrimp. The food was very good and the staff was very plesant. My mother and I felt very welcome there. The quality of the fish was very good. Such a treat visiting from New Mexico.

It was cute but def a little shady. I didn’t think it was over the top SO GOOD. The fish and chips did look good. Seating is very limited.

Their food is amazing, literally amazing.
The egg rolls, fish, fries, and crab rangoons were stupendous.
If there was a complaint to have it’s that their hours are a bit limiting.

I’ve have tried this place twice in one month and it is rediculous!!! The crab ragoons are so fresh and have thr best creamy inside! There so crunchy on the outside. And can I say this place hands down makes the best egg rolls in the world. I would put them up against anyone’s egg rolls in thr country no joke!!! If I couldn’t enter this family in a contest for best egg rolls I would hahah. The service is amazing, the people there are really friendly and offer anything you need. The food is 100% fresh and doesn’t take too long to make once you order it. Thr place is small inside but very well kept and you can sit inside, it’s very cute or outside at picnic tables. If you haven’t tried this place, you must. Next time I go there with my boyfriend we will be trying the fish:) hopefully it’s as outstanding as the rest!!!

You had me at «Eggroll Lady.» Then you said «Shack» and I fell in love. If you like fried sea food and pu pu platter stuff, you gotta come here!
I’ve passed by the place about a million times on my way to other Route 12 loves «Ming’s Wok,» «Brown Rice» and «Meola’s Wayside Ice Cream.» Location ‘kinda’ stinks, it looks like you’re going to buy a used car from Tony Pepperoni or something.
Jena and I ordered take-​out and the wait was 25 minutes. Ok — lesson learned. This is NOT restaurant take-​out speed. If the food is good, we’ll know for next time.
Guess what folks? The food was good, and the people spoke loud and clear. When we got there, there was a line out the door with people of all shapes and sizes :)
We got the Egg Roll platter sampler (egg rolls, chicken, fried shrump, rangoons) and it was KILLER. Home made duck sauce? YES PLEASE.
We also ordered the clam strip platter. This left a ‘bit’ the imagination, no WOW factor, but we finished every damned last piece.
Batter was great, fries were great great, price was on point.
Nice summer shack, get yourself some light beer and pig out!

We got the egg roll platter and a meal of fried clams. So delicious! I feel like I need to take a shower, but that’s to be expected with fried food. We loved the clams and crab rangoons.

It is quite literally a SHACK with about four high tops inside and some outdoor picnic tables for those nice days.
I had been wanting to go here while working in the area for quite some time but I could never figure out which days of the week they are open, it is apparently only three days but possibly more some weeks (I think).
While a shack’s MO is usually to offer fried up goodness, I was a bit saddened to see that there were no broiled options of the seafood items. I’d say, 90%+ of everything offered here is of the friedtastic variety. One of the only few items I could choose from that wasn’t pulled from a vat of oil was a garden salad (which ironically, ended up coming with fried wonton strips). I was also a bit turned off by the prices, I will have a tough time coming back here on my lunch break to justify two items and a drink costing me $ 13.
The food quality was decent overall and the smallest order of five egg rolls did not disappoint, although there are some places in Chinatown Boston that make them a tttaaddd bit better, not by much though. :) Balanced well with crunch, saltiness and a hint of sweetness. Kudos if they do make their duck sauce in house as it was heavenly and complimented the rolls perfectly. The salad was filled with fresh pepper strips and tomato slices but only consisted of one, lower quality type of green.
The service was outstanding, from the nice gentleman who placed my order at the counter and asked the appropriate followup questions to the owner who came out to my picnic table to check on how my meal was going and if I needed anything. I’ll consider going back certainly, but this place is more of a special treat than a daily lunch spot for me.

The best! Always fresh and delicious and the staff is so friendly! Parking can be a little tricky but it’s worth it. My boyfriend and I usually split the egg roll lady platter and a chicken shack sampler or a fish and chip. We always have left overs for a whole other meal.

Great quality food & for the price, the serving is insanely huge. We bought «The Special Seafood Shack’s platter», «12 egg roll» & some «Fried Dough». We were so full & we did have a lot to go.
