What a wonderful diversion from traveling down 81South! This little garden café served up a fresh Mediterranean salad and miso soup laden with fresh vegetables that beat anything you’d find in a normal roadside eatery. The atmosphere is so serene as you are seated in the garden center’s lovely gift shoppe area(in colder months) amidst plants, garden ornaments, and bubbling water scapes. The pulled pork sandwich was from local, natural, farm raised, pigs on a toasted bun. Totally worth the less than 5 minute dive from the highway. Highly recommend stopping!

This Café is located in a relaxing environment of plants and interesting items for your home and garden. The food is fresh and made to order using local, natural ingredients. The staff was very attentive. They have a wonderful selection of beers and wines to enjoy with your meal as well as for purchase. This was a great place to relax and really enjoy a delicious meal.

An odd little café in the middle of a garden center, but really good food at a good value! We came here looking for sandwiches and salads and weren’t disappointed The Greek and Mexican salads have great flavors offering a variety of components and the Buffalo chicken panini was spicy and flavorful. Love the fact that they serve cucumber water instead of just tap water… why don’t more places do this? The only complaint is that the service was odd. The waitress was nice enough, but seemed to walk round in a haze. It was weird she asked if my wife and I wanted separate checks and then after I asked for the check, she told me she’d be right back but instead more than once went off to do something else, either filling up water pitchers or cleaning up in the back. I ended up just going up to the counter and asking to pay up there to bring closure to what otherwise was a very nice lunch.

While on vacation with my girlfriend’s family me and my girlfriend had some«our» time at this secret garden spot. Haley our waitress was awesome as well as the food and our new afternoon favorite white wine called El Coto Rioja .

The food was good but overpriced. The setting was unique since it is in a garden shop. You are surrounded by the yard ornaments and plants. But we were dissatisfied. It was disorganized and noisy. The staff were laughing and calling back and forth to each other. This is nothing special. Is suspect the some of the five-start reviews are inside jobs. They use similar wording and same feeling.

I am glad we decided to check this place out even though it was out of our way. its literally a Garden café. We were seated inside a indoor garden shop with all kind of garden accessories and plants around us. We wanted to get breakfast but we missed it by 10 mins and they were nice enough to make us some but they ran out eggs. The staff was very nice and menu was simple and had lot of vegetarian choices. I had Quiche of the day with the side of potato salad and I am drooling right now thinking of the salad. My husband ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a toasted bread which was excellent. We were in a group and everyone said the food was amazing and I tasted some watermelon lemonade a friend ordered I wanted to swim in that stuff. I am definitely stopping here whenever we go next.

What a great find! Right off I-81. Breakfast and lunch menu, featuring sandwiches, soups, salads. Large selection of microbrewery beers and wine. Stopped here for lunch on the way down to Charlotte NC. Organic and vegetarian choices, local ingredients. Had the soup of the day — butternut squash, and chicken salad sandwich, both of which were excellent. Very reasonable prices. A must stop for lunch or breakfast.

Quality quality quality. This place is not a super greasy, overly fatty southern cuisine place. The coffee is great. The salads are organic. The specials are actually special. Fresh!

This is the perfect combination — a nice casual café set inside a very cool garden center. We stopped here on the way up Interstate 81 and I’m so glad we found it. It’s a delightful alternative to the usual interstate exit offerings. They serve breakfast and lunch and have vegetarian options. I had the Mediterranean salad– so good! There’s a wonderful selection of plants and garden décor as well. The staff was friendly and the service was good too. A very pleasant experience.

Look for the Fort Valley Garden Center! We were a little perplexed when we first pulled up since this place looks like a flower shop. When you step inside, you realize it’s also a quaint lunch spot! My girlfriend and I had a wonderful lunch here, complete with excellent soup and two great salads. I also had a sandwich that tasted as close to homemade as I have ever experienced. I also heard their eggs are some of the best in Virginia. Highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious! Breakfast bowl had the best sausage gravy I’ve ever eaten. Atmosphere was unusual– in gift shop of garden nursery. I couldn’t stop looking around. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.

Yay! Looking for a place that wasn’t the same old, same old greeesee spoon along the highway. We found it! Fresh and well presented in a beautiful setting, a lovely garden shop with all kinds of garden eye candy. Waitstaff friendly and helpful. Yes, yes this is a great place to stop along at 81 and 42 in Woodstock VA The food was luncheon perfection! Feel this would be a great place to have a bridal luncheon and registry.

Perfect. Uhm, what happened here? We got off the interstate and debated going to Taco Bell. Then I said, wouldn’t it be nice if we could just go have a glass of wine on a patio somewhere? Do you think they have a spot with a patio in Woodstock? My guy just laughed. Wow. Hey universe, thank you for delivering. This was fabulous! The food was standard and guess what, the food isn’t the point. The point is that you can stretch your legs, breathe deeply of fresh air, take in delightful people, enjoy some vino if you choose, and generally have a charming garden experience amidst a long journey. Well done Woodstock! The server relayed management changed recently so the food options are upping their ante. Please give these folks a try!

This oasis of an establishment is tucked into the Fort Valley garden center. I love sipping something warm and delicious whilst perusing the flora, but the winter hours seem to be unpredictable. I recently stopped in a few times in hopes of procuring a latte, but found that the café was closed. The lunch fare is great. I love the veggie panini(«hippie chic» I think?), and have yet to be disappointed with other selections as well.

You may come for the gorgeous seasonal plant fare … At this time of year, we are enjoying variegated ferns from Canada, colorful winged begonias, miniature hollies with red berries, and of course poinsettias. Earlier in the fall, we enjoyed atypical indoor house plants and the half-off sales on birch, beech, and weeping cherries, many of unusual and hard-to-find varieties. But you will return for the edible fare served cheerfully and tastefully café style in the greenhouse. The food generally matches the Woodstock café … it’s wonderful affiliate on Main Street … and the coffee is strong and delicious. The sandwiches and panini are varied, generally rich-tasting, and served with small sides. We had the meatball soup here … For the first time ever … And found it very hearty and unexpectedly, richly savory. There is something unusual about dining amidst lush plants, household crafts and garden items, with music playing, and I believe the sound of water nearby … All in a controlled environment so that regardless of the temperature outside, there is a warm feeling inside.
