We came all the way from Chattanooga for their open house on May 5th. After we are already in their driveway, we find out no one is there. On Facebook they posted an hour ago they were canceling it, which would have already been past the opening time and an hour in to our drive. The notice was ridiculous and the fact no one was even there to tell us what was going on was also shameful.

This is a little gem of a place with an amazingly helpful staff, and quite possibly some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen! It was like walking into a little tropical paradise. I contacted them in hopes I’d find an «orchid doctor» to help rehabilitate an orchid I inherited when my Grandmother passed away. It was lovingly taken care of and repotted, and I have high hopes that it is on the road to recovery thanks to Chrissy at Peach State Orchids.(I wanted to name you specifically because you were wonderful and I wanted everyone to know how helpful you are!) They have a wonderful selection, great prices, and I feel like even though I’m new to the orchid world, I’m well informed enough to have beautiful orchids blooming in my home. and I have a feeling that the number is about to multiply! Don’t forget to say hello to Frodo, Kiwi, and the rest of the feathered friends at the greenhouse!

If you dig orchids, this greenhouse is worth the drive. It’s about an hour outside Atlanta, but they’ve got so many species and hybrids, there is sure to be something there to catch your eye. Ask about any unnamed hybrids lying around, you can get them at greatly discounted rates. You will find orchids both in and out of bloom. Also, it’s a good idea to call ahead, it’s a small business, and the greenhouse is on the same property as the owner’s home.
