Ordered delivery twice and received food very quickly both times. The fried chicken breast was literally the best fried chicken I have ever had… and this was delivered! Chicken fingers are also very good. Kale, mac and cheese both good choices. Their cornbread is very plain so it NEEDS butter. I wish they included butter with the cornbread. Worth trying for sure.

Honestly I don’t get the hype I gave this place a try and was dissapointed very unfriendly woman at the counter and is so overpriced I got a quarter chicken and a side order of broccoli very small portion more of kids meal the chicken was dry and tasteless the broccoli was ok overall not worth the $ 9.00 I spent not going back to this place. There are far better quality food places for your money.

It seems every time I order delivery from here they forget my soda. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The real fun begins when I call to try and tell them this. Whomever they have answering the phones does not speak English. A simple«you forgot my soda» turns into a major issue and it is impossible to communicate. Long story short, soda never came, ever.

I’m so disappointed in this restaurant. I had heard good reviews from friends and Unilocal but when I went there myself I found it to be like a cat-box bodega with filthy conditions that you can taste in the dirty oil used to cook the food. Seriously… I don’t think they ever change it?! I have to seriously second guess where these positive reviews have come from.

Mister Chicken To Go is borderline fast food. Their menu is pretty basic and has a nice variety of things. The chicken is always nice and juicy and I always get my favorite side which is the roasted red potatoes. The only thing that might need improving is the corn bread. It may not be to my liking, however it is still pretty tasty.

Pretty good food overall, got dry chicken once and some sides tends to be salty for my taste, but generally the food is reliably good. Both rotisserie and fried chicken are good. The problem is the delivery and customer service. I’ve only ordered delivery from them, and the actual delivery time tends to be twice as long as the estimate online on Seamless. We’ve ordered from them often enough to notice that if you order during non-peak times(middle of a weekday, Sunday) you get the less capable staff, who seem to not really speak English and not know how the online ordering system works. Without fail, the non-peak orders will have at least one missing item, probably more, and the staff won’t really understand what the problem is or how to resolve it over the phone. I know for a fact that restaurants are able to issue partial refunds on incorrect items through Seamless, but not the staff at Mr Chicken, apparently. I’ve had to go through the Seamless customer service to get it resolved(because hell, they aren’t going to consistently stiff me on $ 3 – 10 on every order) and the Seamless guy mentioned this place needing resolution somewhat often. So if you want good, no fuss chicken, go in person or order ahead of time on a Friday or Saturday when they have people around who know what they’re doing.

Garlic kale is the bomb. The chicken is alright but nothing exceptional. The sides are what really make this place a consistant spot

really great chicken but the sides are totally meh. Got the mac and cheese and kale — both really bad. Highly recommend the boneless chicken strips, they are hugeeegah, but they kinda skimp on sauce for delivery The cornbread was also top quality.

i like more crunch than meat, but i’ll take overall goodness. i wish their menu said ‘all dark meat’. i received three pieces of dark meat, two pieces of cornbread and a side, mac and cheese. it’s not kfc crunch, but the chicken was tasty, i think the jury’s still out on organic. cornbread is dense with a mild jalapeño flavor and a little crunch, all of which i like. mac and cheese was thick, typical mac flavor and pretty good. ordered small salad with rotisserie chicken. didn’t ask to mix in dressing and wish i had, haven’t eaten yet. chicken is pulled apart and looks good. delivery was faster than indicated. all for $ 27(incl $ 4 tip).

Very tasty food. Was not salty. Tried the fried chicken and the rotisserie as well, very delicious. Sides were delicious too. Delivery was exactly within the time frame specified by Seamless. Good job guys!

This place is great, and open late! It’s a blessing and a curse, for me, since there have been plenty of times where I pass by, smell the delicious chicken, and walk right in to pic up food, despite knowing that I have food waiting at home that I should really be eating haha. It’s a small takeout place on the corner of Roosevelt and 54st. The chicken strips and the rotisserie chicken are addicting. I used to just get the chicken strips(honey mustard a must). Then one day they ran out(which happens a lot. Its good stuff I tell ya!) So I got the rotisserie instead. I did not regret that decision. It was really flavorful, and juicy. I even had leftovers for the next day. The chicken is antibiotic free! Which is another reason I love this place. The only gripe is that it’s always so hot there! I don’t understand how none of them pass out in there. The food is fresh, delicious, and depending on what you’re getting, pretty darn healthy. I also love the Kale, potato salad, and Mac and cheese! Give it a try, you’ll enjoy it!

This is a hole in the wall food to go place. HOWEVER the food is amazing! I got a chicken wrap which ran me about 10 bucks but the portion size does not disappoint, easily made into two meals. Chicken is finger licken good! It’s right off the 7 train so perfect for those nights you don’t want to cook but still want something yummy and fresh.

It’s not hipster fried chicken. The bird won’t come cradled in artisanal butcher paper. It isn’t served«large format,» with a waiting list and an acceptance speech. There is no twee name(unless you count«Mister Chicken» itself, which is so doofy that it COULD be ironic). Supposedly organic chickens are used, but they don’t engage in enough public bragging for me to believe it. Almighty kale makes an appearance on the menu, sauteed with garlic, but just tastes boiled and dull. (Overall, the sides are mediocre: mac & cheese is chalky, roast potatoes are standard. Your chicken also comes with a rectangular block or two of flavorless fried cornbread.) Still, the fried chicken is clearly a step above your typical fried-chicken-and-pizza joint’s — juicy if not a little plain, and totally unlike the over-battered, dry/gloppy chicken you’d expect from KFC or any neighborhood fried bird shack. The breading is crisp and even a trip on a delivery bike doesn’t make it soggy. Their chicken tenders are good too, a far cry from the spongy, flash-frozen matter supplemented with textured wheat protein that we’re used to. For the same reasons, Mister Chicken is not«soul food»: Take it as you will, but nothing is very salty or greasy, which is kind of a magical feat. For fried chicken that’s a little less fatal, I’m happy that Mister Chicken provides.

This came highly recommended from a bunch of people, so I was expecting great stuff. And I love fried chicken so I was even more excited to have this in Woodside. Too bad the chicken had little sabor. Though juicy, the chicken itself tasted like my mother’s bland chicken cutlets. They gotta add some flavor somehow — either to the chicken or the breading/batter. I did like the macaroni & cheese and the kale side and I have faith that a lot of the stuff is homemade, so I can feel justified in 3 stars. Little known fact — this used to be a Tortas Neza location.

I was really craving buffalo wings, so I thought I’d try this place. I called to ask whether their wings were actually buffalo wings or just plain wings. I was told that they were buffalo wings, so I ordered a 10-piece. But what were actually delivered to me were plain chicken wings. No buffalo hot sauce. I was pretty disapppointed. Granted, the woman who I spoke to on the phone didn’t speak English very well. But if she didn’t know what I was asking, she should’ve asked someone. Aside from all that, the chicken wings were pretty great. It just wasn’t what I wanted. If I ever want some fried chicken in the future, I’ll probably order from here. But I’ll have to look elsewhere for buffalo wings. The chicken is 5 stars, but my experience is 1 star, so I’m giving then 3 stars.

Wow, was I impressed by this place!!! I had a major month-end fried chicken craving(LADIES, you know what I mean…) and decided to order takeout from here on Seamless. I got two-piece chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac and cheese(there’s a $ 12 delivery min). Anyway, when the guy came the chicken was still pipin hot and crispy(I live in Sunnyside, so he must have hauled butt!). I LOVE mashed potatoes and gravy, and this was one of the best I’ve ever had — def top 3 ever for me. And the mac and cheese was all sorts of intense creaminess. The corn bread is shaped like a French toast stick, and tasted pretty good(although corn bread is not really my thing). The only thing I was confused by is that they gave me a small container of what looked like pickle juice(and I literally hate pickles/have almost a pickle juice phobia — don’t ask), so that was weird… I guess that’s their«jalapeño vinegar»?? Are you supposed to dip the chicken in it? I don’t know… I put it in the trash… The only thing I wish they had was a three-piece chicken option. At every other chicken place this is what I always get, and it’s the perfect amount for me(I’m like Goldilocks — two is too little and four is too much!). But otherwise, I LOVETHIS chicken!!! I can’t wait to order it again with my husband so we can get even more chicken: D
