My mom gets her haircut here, by the daughter of the owner Martha. She leaves my mom looking pretty & happy. Unfortunately, she’s moving to New Jersey soon since her lease is almost up. My mom is going to have to try my hair stylists Jaime, which he works at Bella Luna located in Skillman Ave & 50^th street

I’ve gotten my hair cut, dyed and have gotten a wash and blow dry here from Vilma. She is fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend her! If you don’t speak spanish make sure to bring a picture and be specific. She works great and gives you exactly what you show her. The products they use for color are really gentle on your hair. I like and hate Wella because it brings out a great color but it dries out your hair, I forget the name of the product they use for color here but it’s SOOOO good! It’s gentle enough for fine hair and color is not compromised.
This place is great for a reliable cut, simple color and style. A go-​to for hair upkeep & maintenance.

This is a small local family business with children playing and laughing. At first I thought this was great, and I like to support local businesses. I got a perm and when I washed it the next day (per instructions), I was sorely disappointed! It’s a shame, because the people were nice and it was inexpensive. It also looked like they didn’t have a lot of customers.

I have been a regular customer of this salon for about a year. Odaly’s and Vilma make the best team at this salon. Both of them have done my hair in numerous occasions and I always happy with my curls and their prices can not be beat.
They treat you like you are part of one big happy family.

I went here a few years ago when I decided that I wanted to get rid of my highlights and have my hair one color. I don’t remember my stylist’s name, but she did a great job making my hair a uniform color because at that time it had about three different shades of highlights in it. The color ended up being a dark brown which had a reddish tint in the sunlight. I also got my hair trimmed. The price was reasonable as well. Overall, I would come here again.

So after my horrific experience at that Kim’s Salon (check it out such a bad experience). I went to Martha’s Unisex to get some layers and a blowout. I just double checked that they used special sulfate free shampoo for my Keratin treated hair and YES they did.
Odalis cut my hair, her cutting technique was a bit unorthodox and a bit less precise then my guy Rudy at Fez Salon, but her blowout was LEGIT! I was able to keep this blowout for 3 or 4 days and it was like day 1 the entire time. Also, after washing and wearing my hair curly, I realized that the cut was right on point for my curls! So, if you are in Sunnyside and need a quick fix ask for Odalis. Her English isn’t the best but she won’t let you walk out of there looking like a fool.

I recommend this place for cuts, blowouts, braiding and extensions. They know how to work with various hair types and their prices are reasonable. If you can, ask for Odalis and try to go on a weekday during the day because on the weekends she has a long line of people. She is the best stylist!

Had a great haircut by Vilma, who made my baby-​fine hair curl six ways to Sunday, with no product! I was treated like family and got a great haircut and blowdry for $ 40 (and i have very long hair, so this was a good deal)

I went there for a wash, cut and dry today. Fabiola cut my hair and she did a lovely job. It looks really good. She charged $ 25.
