I went with my family. It was about 10 of us. The waitress had no fault at this but they said 50 dollars per person for three course meals and open bar for two hrs. When we get the bill it says 55 per person. It gets better! We went to pay cash and credit. When they calculated the whole total with taxes they said they had to take more taxes because it was with credit card. The manager or bosses did not even show there faces. The food was horrible. The salmon is a strip the size of 3 of my fingers. The skirt steak is cut I pieces. I know about meat! The skirt steak should not be cut how this one was cut. I will never come here again. SERVICESUCKS!

I have eaten at B31 twice. First time visiting my husband and I had appetizers and drinks only. The ceviche was amazing as well as the drinks. The calamari was decent. I also ordered the mint hookah which was awesome. Second time visiting I made reservations for a birthday dinner for a party of 8. Upon arriving they didn’t have my reservation down they asked for my party to wait 5 minutes until a table was set up and then another waiter gave that table away, so we had to wait until another section was set up. They have a great prefix menu with 2hr open bar which was very affordable. The staff was friendly. We ordered hookah which was not good at all. The music and ambiance was good but overall this restaurant is very unorganized. I will try giving it one more chance since the first time I had a totally different experience.

This place is horrible. Has a lot of room for potential but the main reason people go to restaurants is for the food and drinks and this place can’t get it right. I went there recently with a friend for dinner(approximately 8pm) and we were told to sit outside. The outdoor area is beautiful however its extremely dark. The place needs christmas lights to ensure sufficient lighting. I couldn’t really see my food. STRIKEONE. I ordered the lemon chicken with tostones, when the server came to bring the food over, because the tables are grated, when she put the plate down she tilted the plate, sauce spilled all over my legs and sneakers. STRIKETWO. The tostones were great and delicious although i haven’t been many places if any that could screw up tostones. The chicken was gummy and chewy and disgusting. There were two chicken breast and they were both gummy and chewy. I barely touched the chicken. When our unattentive waitress asked if everything was ok, i said sure because i’m not one to cause a fuss, i wanted to leave and get my food some where else. STRIKETHREE. The person i went with ordered something with a cognac sauce cause it sounded intriguing however she stated the food was gross as well but the coconut margarita was ok. For it being a colombian independence day, the place was fairly empty which i think speaks a lot of a business. I should have walked out immediately when i saw that. I ended up leaving and getting Steak and Mofongo from Casa De Mofongo near where i live and as always, the food was great, especially after having ruined my pallet tasting the nastiness this place considers food. I would go to this place in the afternoon for drinks only and to hang out in the patio, but nothing else.

Hands down the best happy hour in New York City!!! $ 1.50 draft pints, $ 3 bottled beer, 5 margaritas, daiquiris, and mojitos! Appetizers are half off. Enjoy these great beverage specials on the large patio next to the waterfall. Friendly service and tasty dishes.

I’m actually here the … place really nice, service is excellent but music is really loud! I couldn’t speak with the waitress or my friend because was really loud at 5:00 in the afternoon … Is suppose to be a restaurant in the outside but I had to leave my other friend was really uncomfortable. Is not a club to have the music so loud.

Not sure where to begin with this place… maybe the sweet remarks and then lead you to the truth. We’ve driven by this place so many times and wondered how good the food was. So, a few days ago we took a leap of faith and headed to Bungalow. I like the ambiance of the place and the music played during lunch. It was nice to sit outside and catch a breeze in the shade. And on to the food. So we ordered guacamole with plantain chips/tortilla chips and a mini mofongo as appetizers and it was really good. Enjoyed that part. Unfortunately, the main dishes were so so. We ordered lemon grilled chicken, BBQ ribs, and regular size chicken mofongo. Best dish was the mofongo because of the sauce. Can’t say the same for the other plates. I also ordered a frozen margarita, but it was more like frozen water. Not a fan. The upside is that the restaurant has the potential to be great, but I think they need to up on their service. Not sure if our waiter was having a bad day– which is understandable, we are humans after all– or that’s just her regularly. Then I don’t know what to say. I think we will continue to just drive by it– maybe try again in a few years, if it gets good.

I recently went here for an outdoor party. I didn’t eat there but the atmosphere was good. The location is nice and has a good décor. The day I went was on a Sunday evening for a tipico party. Definitely a nice place that kinda brings you to a beach with cabanas but with out the sand lol. I’m looking forward in going again to try the food

Customer service is very important for any business. The customer service should always come first and the product is secondary. My waitress, Clarissa, have done just that; she knew I never visited this location before and went out her way to represent the company the correct way. Unilocalers, this spot is a hidden gem in Woodside, NY and trust me I love good food, so when I tell you this, it means something. You ever been to resturant and the food was so good that you need to lay down. That was my experience and need to lay down and rub my belly. I am walking to around and suddenly found a resting spot. Oh my goodness, they having sitting outside!!! Oh snap, they even have seats in a section if it rains too. So you know I had to pull the camera out and take pictures to show the world. I going to quickly give this place 5 stars, but I wish could give them 10 instead. Let me try pushing both my iPad and iPhone together. Boom 10 stars! The foooooooooooooood is so good and they have way to many opinions to choose from, including drinks. Yup, the drinks is wonderful too with full bar. You want some Brugal, no problem. Take a sip, grab your partner, and dance your light away. Yes dance! They have great DJ with enough room to dance. Swerve with your partner like a surfboard. Yes surfboard. The people that visited this place is outgoing and beautiful, it feels like I am in Santo Domingo enjoy the good life. Hmmm, why go to Dominican Republic, when this little DR in the NYC. I love this place. I am going to try their dessert shortly and if it taste great I going to marry the bloody cook. Hopefully is a lady, if not, we can be best friends instead. Plans: I am going to re-visit this location in the weekend and enjoy the nightlife. You ever saw a black man dancing Spanish music holding a bottle of rum? Ahhh, you have to visit this location and see. Cheers, Wilkie

Yet another Groupon with the boyfriend. Hey, it’s the best way to find and try a new place. So it’s a Tuesday nigh and the place is empty… fine by me! I was thinking since we were the only people there that we would have great service but it just wasn’t so! The bartender hostess and what seemed to be two waitresses were having a grand ol time chatting it up while we were neglected. We had to literally wave the waitress over when we were ready to place our order. For the appetizer we ordered fried steak/tostones platter. We both enjoyed that! He ordered the oxtail but they were out!!! So he settled for the churascco. He said it was just ok. I ordered the chicken/salmon/shrimp dish which I thought was pretty good. We both chose rice and beans for our side and ordered a side of maduros to share. The bill was $ 70 whick my bf thought was too much for what we got(we drank tap water and I had one can of soda). I didn’t think it was too bad considering we didn’t eat it all. Overall, he didnt like the quality of food and I didn’t like the service. There are too many good and conviently located places for us to go back here. See ya never!

Great place for drinks and food. Been Here for the happy hour. The prices are great. The staff is very friendly especially the bartender Karina. She introduced me to some new drinks. Try the calamaries from the happy hour very tasty. Have been here many times with coworkers. They all love the service, food and drinks. In the summertime the patio is awesome to grab a drink. Now they have a DJ on Friday nights. This makes happy hour even more fun. Will be back.

What a fun surprise! This place is in an obscure corner of woodside and the building was formerly a plant nursery. There is a large, charming outdoor space with ivy covered walls and nice plants, so it’s a nice option if the weather is good. The food and music are Latin American. It feels festive. I had the mofongo with pork, a Puerto Rican specialty made with mashed plantains, which was excellent. They also had some very good house cocktails. I’ll be back!

A hidden spot in Woodside, Queens this restaurant is a disappointment. Came here after a long day at work with my girlfriends. They had told me it was good this and that I was not blown away or satisfied honestly… the service and the food overall was just very lacking… it was not there that evening and it wasn’t even busy. Ordered a chicken appetizer to start, came out and was just disappointing. Very bland and no flavor whatsoever to it. Then for an entrée had a rib eye steak, when it came out the waiter even got it wrong, he said this is your t-bone, I was like excuse me I ordered a rib eye. It had some«homemade special sauce», which to me was simply NOTHING special. The meat itself was rather tough for a rib eye, and the cut was so thin, I couldn’t even tell I was eating a rib eye or a piece of cheap meat. Ordered a King Of Queens specialty drink there was no alcohol I felt in it all. And the service, was not there, most of the employees just stand around talking, not paying attention to the patrons, when I had to ask for water, took forever then took forever it to come too. Overall, other than the decent outdoor dining décor and atmosphere, there is nothing outstanding about this restaurant in Woodside, NY. not worth the cost.

Came here for a belated hangout with my family for a birthday. We made sure to come for the happy hour to try the place out. Happy hour prices are unmatched. I’m not a big Coors light drinker but you can get a glass of it for $ 1.50 which is pretty cool. The food was ok. Nothing special. Shish kebabs were greasy and flavorless. The calamari was pretty good. Nice and hot right out the deep frier. The sauce with it was … weird? It was some mix of sweet pinkish looking special sauce. Not a good combo with fried calamari. I was enjoying my $ 3 Samuel Adams Lager though. If I come back here it will have to be a friends party or something because it wasn’t anything great.

Food was great, drinks are great. I went on both a Weds for dinner and a Friday night for dancing. Weds dinner: Absolutely great, beware of the mosquitos on the patio. Though I must admit the patio is my favorite thing about the whole place. I bought a Unilocal deal, and yes I agree with others, its like they didnt know what to do with it. But still in the end it got used. Friday night dancing: The place is still very new and doesn’t have a big name yet. I went… took a long long long ride there and arrived to be disappointed. There was a bachelorette party going on inside and everyone in the backyard was sitting. COMEONPEOPLE — its Friday night, the place was advertised to dancing the night aware to some good Spanish music… what is up with that?! I came to dance all night, not to sit all night. The crowd outside: boring, the sitting crowd was pretty young, like their mid-twenties. The inside crowd, who were actually dancing… in their late forties I’d say. Anyways, the food and drinks are great. I know their parties have a lot of potential which is why I rated them by their food and drinks. The manager is pretty great too, which is always a plus. Try it out before you decide to not check this place out, but remember it’s new, so give it its time to bloom.

I was a little hesitant to try this place out as i had been here before, when they were named«Patio»; and it was terrible, bad service, low quality food for a hefty dollar. As i entered i asked if there was a new owner in which i was informed that there was indeed a new owner and chef, and thankfully new staff!(Seriously they were really really really bad at Patio). They did some renovations to the restaurant as well, the backyard is fabulous. Great space and beautiful seating areas. Now finally the food… DELICIOUS!!! It felt like they sort of infused Asian meets Latin flavors and it just works so well. I can’t remember for the life of me the name of the main course i had but it was a salmon dish with a Caribbean sauce, perfect combo of sweet and savory. The salmon was cooked perfectly and topped with sesame seeds which i found quite good. My friend also had a salmon dish but with a different sauce(can’t remember the name), also very good. We also shared an appetizer of calamari, they cut them kind of thin which i liked because i wasn’t left with chewy calamari but deliciously crispy instead. They also seemed to use a different type of breading than the usual Italian style(i think it was panko) and they had 4 different dipping sauces for the calamari. I love me some extra dipping sauces. The waiters did seem like they were still learning a bit of the menu but they were very kind and made sure to come back with answers to our questions as soon as possible. Cocktails: My friend had a glass of sangria, i’m not too much of a sangria fan so i didn’t try it but she seemed to love it and i had the mojito… YUM What an amazing improvement since the new owners and chef rescued this place. i was really starting to believe this great space was going to go to waste and become some kind of Dominican buffet style restaurant, queens has enough of those already; so i’m quite pleased to know i now have a new worth while place to dine when i don’t want to head to busy Astoria or the city!

I LOVE this new HOTSPOT in Queens. Everything about this place is amazing — the ambiance, the service, the food, the drinks, the lighting … I can go on. The huge outdoor space allows you to feel like you have transported out of Queens and into one of your favorite vacation destination spot. There is a waterfall in the back, which adds to the beautiful décor and feel. All the staff we met were really nice and pleasant to us — welcoming us and showing us that they really appreciated out business — which is always a treat. The chef even came out to greet us after my rave reviews of the salmon dish — which had a sesame oil based drizzle on it. You need to go ahead and check this place out. You won’t regret it … and guarantee you will want to go more! K
