Good service and good food. We both had chicken gyros. The meat is tasty and the homemade tzatziki sauce is wonderful. Soups were also good and looked homemade. And the cole slaw is excellent. Finally the décor is pleasant.

Things seem to be going down hill which is a shame. Lots of empty tables at lunch times so I guess I’m not the only one who isn’t eating there much any more. Not just the food, the staff out front could do with improvements too.

Pros: We got seated immediately Food came quick Cons: We ordered their loaded stuffed french toast that was supposed to have fruits and filling. It had like one teaspoon of cream cheese filling. Based on the description, I expected something like the stuffed french toast at Wildberry or Honey Jam. I ended up asking for extra filling We also ordered a tuna melt. This consisted of cold tuna salad, toasted bread and a non-melted slice of a Kraft Single. There was no melting or grilling of anything. It came with fries, coleslaw and French Onion soup. Soup was gross. Don’t bother with this. I should have spent my money on 25 bags of Cheetos.

It was OK… the menu promised a cozy place with some inventive dishes but the preparation was kind of bland and underwhelming. One of those places that have a huge menu and do everything OK, but don’t really hit it out of the park on anything.

Maybe we picked a bad day. But they were very short and rude. Waitress argued about substituting pumpkin pancakes instead of regular(I was willing to pay). Food was bland. Nothing special. Won’t be back.

This was good! Angela was a great server! Food came out quickly and was super hot. As another reviewer mentioned the spinach and mushrooms were cooked perfectly and did not add moisture to the dish. It was really delicious.

Been coming here since they were the Sandpiper. Good reliable Chicago Greek diner food with a bit of an upscale spin. Service is very good and portions are large. The atmosphere is better than Steven’s on 63rd(their closest competition). I have only had one non-breakfast meal here since the remodel so I won’t comment on that range of food but the breakfast offerings are excellent.

Local Area Breakfast recommendation from @eattheburbs on Instagram was excellent! Woodridge Caffe The food was delicious, large portions, great coffee, and great service. Food came out quickly and was prepared perfectly. I love that they serve cage free eggs. My Frittata was on the 12’s!(means it was more than great). #foodie #breakfast #chicagofood #woodridgeillinois #frittata #eatchicago #eatlocal

Had the tuna plate. Yes the tuna plate. Not once but twice this week. Trying to figure out the secret to their salad. Mayo? Yes. Onions? Yes. But something kicks it up. GREAT food at reasonable prices. Breakfast and lunch here. Can’t go wrong.

Ordered cinnabon French toast, good but frosting was a little much covering a entire pancake, would have been better with raisins and not quite a glob of frosting. Mickey Mouse pancakes kinda cute. Service was good. Food was 3.5 out of 5. Will probably try jam n jelly café again that place rocks!

The food was excellent. Hot and delicious. But, the hostess was incredibly unfriendly and rude. Threw our menus down on the table and did so to everyone else she sat around us. She was the first person we saw when we walked in and her demeanor did not set a good tone. Our waitress was wonderful, Marsha. Very attentive.

Quite an improvement from the previous establishment. The first time I tried the frittata. Very good, almost too much food. My wife had the country Benedict. Both were very good. We both also had their Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was just OK, too much Worcestershire sauce. We’re were there a couple of days ago and I had a made to order omelet and my wife had the skillet. She said the skillet was great and my omelet was perfect. Although the hash browns were on the burnt side and the English muffins were cold. Still not a show stopper because the omelet was on the judges table. Took off a star for the just OK Bloody Mary and burnt hash browns. We will keep coming back, still much more I want to try. Menu has some great choices.

We’re thinking the bar was added when it was briefly an Italian restaurant. So, I am obviously missing something here. it was okay, not the best breakfast I have ever eaten, but okay. I ordered a frittata after asking if the sausage was spicy. I was assured it was not. This frittata was spicy and dry. I barely ate any of it. I would never order it here again. However, I did enjoy the pancakes. My husband said his eggs were prepared just fine and he had dry rye toast. He did enjoy the coffee. The windows were not obstructed with blinds on this rainy morning so it was easy to see the other dining room area. There are a few tables with bench seating, but the vast majority of seating is tables. This might work better as a lunch place. If I tried it again, it would be for lunch, not breakfast.

Always have been treated well here. I still mainly enjoy my breakfasts here, but my last visit I was in the area thinking of a different lunch spot. I always enjoy their soup that I’ve brought home. Half Tuna on Rye Toast and soup du jour is the way to go. I just missed Chrisy still being on duty. A few days after my visit I See Chef Nick has moved on once again. Stay tuned for more information on the new chef, or hopefully the cooks can keep up Nick’s high standards. I’ll have to find Chef Nick again…

The transformation from The Sandpiper to The Woodridge café was in one word«Fantastic». Valerie our waitress was amazing, didn’t forget anything and was exceptionally quick. This also says something about the backline. The spinach omelet was great, the wheat pancakes were amazing. The kids meal size is perfect for children, not a huge meal that you would expect, but more correctly portioned. The classic 2×2×2 was perfect for my teenager. All in all a great experience. When I arrived there was only one family here made me warery, so I ate and when I looked up the place was packed! The menu has been updated with more healthy options. This was a trip well worth it.

Love the Modern interior design and the welcoming earth colors. The food was delicious. I ordered the 2×2×2 and choose French Toast, over easy eggs, and sausage links. Everything came out perfect. French toast were thick, had the right amount of powdered sugar, and I had a cute ceramic pitcher with syrup to pour. Eggs came out as ordered(over easy). Sausage links were bigger than most places I’ve been to and were seasoned perfectly. I don’t know what brand they use for the coffee, but it was not too strong and not too weak… Basically had a perfect breakfast. I definitely would love to come back to try their biscuit and gravy.

Great place with great food. Marsha is one of the friendliest most attentive food serving professionals you will ever encounter! The skillets are always very tasty. Lots of food and I usually bring half home. The pancakes are big and fluffy too. It has quickly become our go to for breakfast in the area!

First of all, it’s Woodridge and not Wood ridge. Food was amazing very large portions. I could have split the plate with someone. Service was excellent. Her name was Danielle B and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend the meat lovers skillet. For $ 8.99 you really cannot go wrong.

Wanted to try a new place for breakfast. Had the veggie skillet, vegetables were undercooked & so were hash brown potatoes. friend had crepes, said they tasted good but were cold. Also, coffee was bitter, waitress said customers have been complaining about the coffee, wonder what they will do about it? Décor is modern and much nicer than when restaurant was Sandpiper. Won’t be returning, will stay with tried and true Blueberry Hill.

My second visit in the same week. I was eager to try their breakfast side of the menu. Today was not a planned visit just on my way home I literally drove by. Today I had a new server not one I recognized before from the former Sandpiper. She was friendly, knowledgeable and quick with coffee refills. I ordered the Florentine Skillet loaded with crispy bacon, spinach and mushrooms on a bed of hashbrowns. The menu did indicate your choice cheese on all skillets. Mine was served without because I didn’t ask for it nor was I asked what cheese I wanted. However in the end it all worked out because it tasted great. So maybe ordering this particular skillet without cheese is a the way to go. After my skillet I decided to order a Strawberry/Orange juice combo. Its freshly squeezed in house. There is so much more to try like their Wraps, Clubs, Salads, Crepes and Waffles. Looks like I have many more visits in my future.
