Bug Doctor Pest Service

I had the unfortunate experience of seeing the owner/​operator at work while in a fast food establishment. He verbally attacked an innocent customer with a racist comment, and further goaded him when the customer tried to ignore him. Behavior like this is unacceptable in any environment, much less a professional one. The experience prompted me to join and write my first ever Unilocal review. How sad.

Where do I even start with this one. I believe this to be a one man operation, but be warned, this is not someone you want to be around when he is «working.» Let’s start by his use of inappropriate language in front of employees and customers. I’m talking swearing. A lot. About a variety of topics. I’m talking way beyond politically correct stuff. It takes a lot to unhinge me but this person did it quite easily. He will talk incessantly to anyone around him about completely inappropriate topics such as war history and politics, all while trying to pick you up while he calls you, «Sweetie.» If that’s not disgusting enough, he sprays his chemicals while people are actually standing next to him or even eating. The owner of this business is a wholly unpleasant human being. I would like to use stronger language but I’m sure Unilocal will remove this review if I do. Seriously ladies, you’ve been warned. My next stop will be the local chamber of business to let them know about this gem.

2 years ago I moved into a building that I was completely unaware had a bedbug problem. I also found out that for 30+ years the building has had the problem. While living here, I had seen 3 – 4 different pest control specialists come through trying to eradicate the infestation and it was like no one (pest control) came at all and if anything it made the bugs angry and stirred them up even worse. A company called The Bug Doctor came in to treat the building and within just 2 – 3 months all 3 of our buildings are completely bed bug & roach free! We are all amazed! Some of the other tenants have lived here in the building 15 – 20 years and we can now all sleep so much better. The kids playing outside no longer have the bites on their arms and legs so often seen before now, the tell tale signs of just how bad it really was. When the guys came in to spray, they were very nice to my kids and would set their equipment down and actually talk to them or play with them for a minute or two. Very family like rather than business like. They spoke with us while they treated the areas telling us what they were doing and why. When the guys would move things around and spray they always placed my items exactly how they were and never make messes like other pest control techs did while spraying. They were very neat and clean. I am so grateful my landlord found these guys and our building is finally able to enjoy being in our homes, especially in our beds!

We called the bug doctor this year to ask about a terrible wasp problem we had on our deck. He quoted us $ 150. to come out and spray and he guaranteed his work for the entire summer. He came out right on time, was very friendly. He sprayed and it was like a miracle! The wasps were gone. He told us that if they came back to just give him a call. That was in March. Well… after quite some time the pests started to reappear and when I called he came right back and sprayed again. It has been great! No bugs whatsoever on the deck. Originally I called Terminix and Orkin and they both quoted me the same…$ 250. to spray one time and no guarantee! We will call the bug doctor each spring so that we can enjoy our beautiful deck! This guy sprayed chemicals on my feet at work (in sandals), even though our boss told him NOT to spray while people are working (he did it the sec boss took a call).
When I saw him come in with the canister, I said «You can’t be spraying while people are working» and he said to me «It’s safe. the EPA says so. You obviously don’t know what the EPA stands for.» and «I drove 30 miles so I’m making it my while.» He had the wand in my face to reach over behind my cubicle too! I had to wash my feet in the bathroom sink!
When he sprayed my feet, boss ended his call early to see what the commotion was about, and he repeated himself about NOT spraying! Then this guy goes on how he’s 3^rd generation and knows what he’s doing, blah blah blah. No apologies or care for anyone’s health and safety. This guy is CRAZY! I wouldn’t trust him around families with pets, children or those easily susceptible!
DANGEROUS! DO NOT HIRE!

After completely freaking out about «something» trapped inside my drywall they sent a wonderful guy, Jason, to come out on Mother’s Day. NO ONE else anywhere would respond.
He came out within a hour and cut small holes into my dry wall in my bedroom closet to remove what ended up being a starling or a blackbird. He was so kind and helpful and showed such a professional attitude. Everyone survived, and life could go onto normal. I am so grateful for the help I received and would definitely use them again (hopefully, I won’t have to).
