TJ Maxx

This is a good TJ Maxx store. My GPS went haywire when I put TJ Maxx in. It said, «In 300 feet, arrive at TJ maks-​iks-​iks… on right.» The «xx» throws my GPS off, because when I put «TJ Max» in, it says it correctly.

This tjmaxx is located next to whole foods which is quite convenient. It’s one of the bigger tjmaxx’s and it’s quite busy here also. So there’s always new stock. They also carry more high end items that carry the purple tags.

I have been to many TJ Maxx locations before and eventually wrote them off as a worthless outlet store. However I decided to give this location a chance considering it is in an affluent neighborhood.
First off, this store has «The Runway» dept which is only in 50 of 1,000 of its stores apparently. In the women’s dept I saw a couple Dolce & Gabbana handbags, a few Gucci hangbags, and a few clothes that were DVF, Theory, Valentino. Although it was small, I was impressed the bags were easy to shop, sitting on a table with nothing more than a security tag and were priced at $ 2K. (must have been recent off-​season). They were not displayed in a pretty or flamboyant way, just sort of scattered as if the fashion police shopped prior.
The rest of the departments I saw brands such as Tory Burch, Coach, Sperry, and some other mid-​priced brands. The men’s dept was small and had an even smaller «The Runway» dept, with about four sections with clothes such as Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Hugo Boss, and of course Polo. Aside from that, I noticed the underwear section had a few Dior Homme, Versace, and Diesel packages scattered about.
Disappointment (s): No shoes for men (common, but figured perhaps Runway would feature a small display). Merchandise scattered (around 3pm). Parking as mentioned before is a nightmare but doable with patience and time to spare (not fault of store).
Surprises: An Etro blazer on sale $ 189 vs $ 599 retail, designer underwear, & finding a decent TJ Maxx to come treasure hunt again

This isn’t the biggest one in the area but its packed full of stuff including a distinctive home section. Nice, albeit odd, fitting rooms. The fitting room (men’s at least) is a large room with a real solid floor-​to-​ceiling door. Nice clean restrooms as well in the front left of the store. This store has been given the most recent remodelling — new register tills and newly designed queue area. They have used their space well and keep it rather orderly. Parking is a bit of a mess here but that has nothing to do with TJMaxx and is just all about the shopping center it’s located in and the road it’s located off.
