Was kinda disappointed. Had heard amazing things but my experience was subpar. Hope they get better with time.

The food is good but the last 2 times I have been there the service was not that good. If you’re paying that much money for food it shouldn’t take 10+ minutes to get another drink or a refill on one. I guess that is what happens when you try to put a nice upscale restaurant in a small town. Other than the service it is a nice place to dine.

Both my lunch and dinner experiences here have stared out with a 15min wait at our table just to see our server and order water. Tonight we had to ask the hostess where our waitress was. #shityservice

Great food! Had seasonal butternut squash soup and the daily fish sandwich. Both delicious. It looks like one of the fancier places in Woodland but the prices are really reasonable. The bar looks awesome, will come back for drinks.

Morgan’s on Main is located in the former Tazzina’s Bistro location. The new owners have done a really nice job remodeling the space. The new wood, high back booths in the main dining area are very nice, lend an intimacy to the space and help mitigate the volume in the room. You can actually have a conversation and hear what your dining companions are saying! The added Special Event space is beautiful and I look forward to the opening of the second bar. There is also a nice patio area for outside dining during the warmer months. The menu is not extensive but offers diverse selections that will please any craving. We started with the Deviled Egg’s with candied bacon appetizer… delicious! The sourdough bread had a crispy crust and was warm, dense, soft and yummy on the inside. For the main course I went with the Roasted Half Chicken with country gravy, smoked Mac ‘N Cheese and braised greens. The Chicken was flavorful but a wee bit dry. The mac ‘n cheese had a strong smokey flavor but was a little more oily and gritty than smooth and creamy. I didn’t like the braised greens at all. I’m not even sure what type of greens they were but they did not look appealing at all and there was too much lemon juice on them. My friend had the Prime Rib with garlic mashed potatoes and a side of Bacon Brussel Sprouts. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, but it lacked that juicy, savory, indulgent taste that you want in a prime rib. The service was outstanding, from our reception at the front door, to the bartender and the best raspberry– lemon drop martini ever, to our server. The bar and restaurant were very busy and the staff moved efficiently, professionally and without sacrificing personality. They are still gaining their footing and finding their groove but there is tremendous potential with this restaurant and they have a lot of good things in place, including their staffing and customer service. I will definitely go back. It will be fun to watch them achieve their potential!

To start, who would think of a deviled egg appetizer? It was delish! Best deviled egg I’ve ever had! Bacon wrapped filet was nicely done, with yummy blue cheese topper. My husband had the pork loin(good, but a little chewy) with a creamy, well balanced bearnaise sauce that augmented the pork well(redeeming the chewiness). The rest of the meal was pleasant, with great service to boot! This will be a regular stop for us on our way home from the airport. A great find!

We took my husbands parents here last night for dinner. We met in Woodland to pick up our daughter and wanted to treat them to a nice dinner since they took her for a week while Mom and Dad got to play on New Years! First off, the staff is AMAZING! The hostesses were super accommodating since we didn’t make a reservation and were able to sit the five of us within 10 minutes. The drinks were great! I ordered the sazerac and it was made perfect. My husband had the house Pinot and enjoyed it as well. The bacon deviled eggs are heaven! They were super thick and creamy, full of flavor. My mil wasn’t very intrigued by them at first but ended up loving them! I ordered the 16 oz rib eye steak. When it came out, it was black and charred. I thought I was looking at lumps of coal. I was so sad. I HATE complaining about food but if I couldn’t bring myself to pay $ 31 for a burnt steak. I politely told the waitress and she quickly apologized and had the cook make me a new one. 15 minutes later, pure heaven. The steak was fantastic!!! Delicious. The waitress was super sweet and understanding. I really appreciated her patience with me. Those are the types of waitresses that deserve 25%+ tips! My father in law had the roasted chicken with some kind of country gravy. He loved it! My husband had the sea bass. He enjoyed how it was prepared and how it was cooked but it lacked flavor. He said he would have given it a 6⁄10. I loved the ambience! A subtle trendy country feel. It was warm and cozy. The music was perfect too! Would have loved to given it 5 stars but I felt the menu was just overpriced. The food was good but not for $ 25-$ 30 a plate. I wish I could have remembered our waitresses name, she was awesome!

Thanks again Unilocal! Needed to eat before heading to the hotel. Fantastic place. The rustic décor doesn’t do justice to the food, and the people who work there. I was a little surprised by some of the prices, but when the food arrived it was all good. The people were all absolutely fantastic. Very polite and attentive. They took our drink order when we were seated, had our drinks right away(on new years eve), and delivered our meal to the table in about 15 minutes. Their people are their greatest asset.

Absolutely awesome all around. Food is fantastic, the Cubano is down right amazing. We ordered the Deviled Eggs and we loved them so much we ordered another even though we didn’t have enough room left… Yet we still scarfed them down. The décor and service are both great. Kept our drinks filled, friendly and down to earth. I hope this place stays in Woodland for a long time to come.

As close to perfection as you can get in a meal service. Super pleasant attentive and professional server. Well timed food service and tempo between courses as well as touch backs for progress and approvals on flavor, taste and doneness. Food was awesome. These boys and girls can cook Special kudos for correct seasoning; they’re not afraid of salt. Pull apart bread is tasty, even better when it appears as a cruton in the Caesar. Speaking of Caesar, OMG that dressing rocks, pretty aggressive but on point in my mind. The most crisp lettuce in the wedge I’ve encountered in recent memory. Drinks were very nice, try the Manhattan it’s not to be missed. You must have the prime rib, but you cannot go wrong with any of the steaks. Dessert was bomb One word, brownie! Special thanks to Richard Gay, the manager that truly gets it. The personal attention is very much appreciated. Can you say regulars?

Great location and décor We weren’t super hungry so shared an appetizer and each had a salad. Chicken and waffles were tasty but needed more gravy– which in all honesty if we had requested of our server he would have accommodated. Morgan’s salad was enjoyed by my spouse, Morgan. I enjoyed the beet salad and all of the interesting elements– dressing on the side was a good choice for me as I like to taste the ingredients without the mask of oft times overwhelming salad dressing application. Woodland finally has a nice restaurant option! The staff is friendly, the restaurant is beautiful, and most importantly the food is great. We had the chicken sandwich and burger, both were excellent.

It’s my son’s B’day and he wanted to celebrate in a fancy restaurant. I know how hard it is to find a fancy feast in our area and I really didn’t want to make a trip to Sac. I began searching through Unilocal for a nice place and stumbled upon this new and recently opened restaurant. The reviews were great and looking at pictures from the menu my son said it looks like a restaurant he would like to try. So we did… and oh wow. The interior design was very inviting. The hostess showed us our sits on the patio(the evening was beautiful). We loved the patio! The food we ordered didn’t disappoint as well. Everything was delicious and the flavors were balanced well. I loved their pull apart bread! The staff sang a «Happy Birthday» to my son and we enjoyed our desserts :-) It was very pleasant evening and yummy food. Very happy to know that Woodland raised the bar in dining.

Tonight was our first time in and wow! Yum. If the review was just based on food, I would have given it 5 stars. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was really friendly but some of them seemed a bit disorganized. We had a reservation for 6:30 and they asked us to wait in the bar for 5 minutes and didn’t get us seated until 7. That being said though, it was definitely worth it. The drinks were delicious. The pull apart bread is to die for! We also got the Brie plate which was the appetizer of the night and then we all ordered steaks, which were heavenly. Get ready to foot a big bill. Great place for special occasions. We shall return without a doubt!

Had dinner the other night, showed up with out reservations and we were seated in the lounge. It’s a small place so not much seating in the main room, I enjoyed the atmosphere but it was a bit loud in the lounge room. Food was good, I had the prime rib, nice and tender, wasn’t crazy about the sauce they poured over it but still very good. My husband had the NY steak which was great, again very tender! And the pull apart bread was simply delicious, very garlicky! Our server, I don’t remember his name, was awesome! Haven’t had such good service in a while and he was a breath of fresh air! He tended to every need and question we had! I highly recommend and we will be back! As far as price, you’re getting what you’re paying for!

First visit, had to review(I told you I would, Kelly). The place is beautiful. Service was very friendly. Wait staff are still overcoming some jitters and getting their routine down, but there were no mistakes, just a couple few shoulders bumping trying to get the plates out. I chalk it up to everyone wanting to execute expertly, and the effort was noticed and appreciated. Kelly, the owner, came to our table of four and thanked us for coming by, and we thanked her for opening the restaurant. We(group of four) made reservations via OpenTable, arrived promptly at 6 and were seated immediately. We each ordered a different cocktail, and all of us were pleased. We skipped on appetizers and went straight to the entrees. One lamb shank, one half chicken, one special(prawns and scallops over wild rice) and one rare hanger steak with the recommended béarnaise sauce. All 4 plates were licked clean! Only one of us was gluttonous enough to order dessert, the caramel apple cheese cake. After the first bite was taken and his eyes rolled to the back of his head, the rest of us pounced with our respective spoons…3 more pairs of eyes rolled to the back of our heads. It was superb! When we finished, one of the waiters walked us to the bar to check it out and also explained that they will be opening a sports bar as well as an overflow room. This is as good as it gets! We can’t wait to go back! And packed on a Wednesday night. Had the right vibe, atmosphere and positive energy. Thank you, Morgan’s on Main!
