Fat Moose Bar & Grill

We stopped here while staying in Woodland over night. I ordered the Fish Fry Friday, «All you can eat Fish & Chips only $ 7.99 All Day!» and my husband had a burger. The service was great, the food was great. The fish was well done, like I asked for it to be. The beer was amazingly cold. The food came out really quickly. We ordered our food at 8 pm-​ish. When I asked for a couple more pieces of fish, the server said, «oh, that is only until 8» (it was 8:45 by this time). If it’s only until 8, the table flag should state that. The server should have noted that when I ordered the «all you can eat, all day», while pointing to the little «specials» table flag on the table. The website should state that, as well as the Facebook page. So, I was charged the full menu price for the 3 pieces of fish that I had. Don’t get me wrong, the fish was awesome… but $ 11.25 for these 3 pieces. The fries don’t count, as I am not a fry person and didn’t eat them. And leaving a post on their Facebook page regarding this, is evidently a no no. They just remove it. Heads up: All day doesn’t really mean ALL DAY… it just means until 8 pm. If I lived in Woodland, I would not return. They don’t stand by their advertising, which is in several different places.

Food was great! The fish and chips were tasty with the tarter sauce! The tacos are great! I recommend going here!

Now that we have that out of the way… I can say that our entire meal was pretty yummy. Service was great… friendly and quick. Atmosphere was fun and inviting. We were here for a midweek lunch, so I cant say I had any experience with the nightlife entertainment or anything, but I can imagine that this is a pretty fun place to hang out in on a weekend evening.

Poor service. Unfriendly staff. Wouldn’t recommend and not going back. Food wasn’t great. Typical bar food (and not that great) if that’s what you’re into.

This is an amazing Family dinner and a great Bar to attend.
They have GREAT food, superb prices, and the staff is outstanding!
They have the BEST Mushroom Burger, as well as all their other burgers.

We love this place… never disipoints us. Dinning out or even having there new delivery service. You receive lots of excellent food and drinks for a reasonable price. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.

Great place to stop for fish & chips after day on the mountain.

I tried their new boxed lunch that they now will deliver. What a disappointment! Their «seasonal fresh fruit» was packaged apple sauce. Their cookie had no flavor except the hint of grease. The sandwich DID have plenty of meat but that was the ONLY positive thing I can say. The bag of chips was only a half an ounce bag. We will not be ordering a boxed lunch again.

5 star place for a small town bar and grill. Very friendly waitress, my wife and I both enjoyed our burgers and would stop by again traveling this way.

During night hours The food is typical bar food selections like mozzarella sticks, burgers, tots and fries but during the day the menu is even better. Their burgers are good and tots are awesome! Good drink prices and a loud atmosphere. There are good and bad waitresses, so cross your fingers for the good one! You’ll know when you have her!

Great place, great food & fast service. We stopped here after bungee jumping, we weren’t sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, great prices on food & very fast service. We will definitely make this an annual tradition!

Worst service I have ever received. Stopped by the other night with 5 couples to have a pitcher of beer after leaving the golf course. Only one other table in the bar had customers. We were singled out immediately and soon asked to leave. The owner turned the OPEN sign off at 11:00 promptly after we arrived. After a second pitcher was ordered (for the 10 adults) we were asked to leave. The owner immediately started dropping F-​Bombs and acting as though he was ready for a fight. Apparently you have to lie in Woodland to gain access to the Fat Moose. We will not be back. The really bothersome part is his was a favorite lunch stop for our three kids.

Horrible service. Had to leave. Don’t bother.
A group of my friends came to this restaurant at my recommendation and we were treated horribly from server Nicole and the owner. This is a restaurant that I bring my children. I am so disappointed.

Hidden gem. Must try if you’re looking for a delicious chicken fried steak plate & beer! The waitress was very nice and they had a live band playing too!

For some reason one cranky waitress still is there I have been going to the fat moose since we moved to woodland 4 years ago we loved our waitress camille and came back often then it seemed every time we went in we would get the cranky waitress she never smiled unless it is a fake one she rolls her eyes if you ask for anything and she rarely makes eye contact with you its so bad my family and I used to go every week now we go every six months or so we would rather go to old town grill the food is better the service is always friendly they even remember your name it’s sad I love the fat moose but their staff needs a makeover and their prices are a bit high. I love woodland I love the small town but this is not its best kept secret it’s just a dive bar and not even our best

Service sucks and but the food is alright. Waitresses honestly need to learn how to offer better service.

Nickel and dime you all the time here! All you can eat fish on Fridays but if you need more than one tarter sauce they charge more. Taco Tuesdays are good but get here early. The service is good most of the time depending on which server you draw, sometimes another will actually ask if you need anything, but this place seems to be sinking lower all the time.
Today we went down to eat lunch and were informed that soft drinks now get one refill only, because after all the coke company doesn’t give them free refills. I’m thinking the coke company probably doesn’t charge $ 2.50 per coke either. How much sense does it make to sell a pitcher of beer for $ 5 that fills four glasses and now about the same for 4 cokes?
I’m sure ketchup and napkins will soon find a charge here, and my next all you can eat fish will likely be at a competitor, you know, the one with unlimited refills on cokes, fries, chowder and fish, plus no extra charge for tarter sauce!

Fun place, Great Food and Atmosphere. Staff and Owner are awesome. friendly and on the ball with service. Definietly will be back there again.

Well, I asked to stop at a new place.
Typical dive bar along a highway 503. We were check out the river for a kayaking and stopped here for lunch. The place was a drinking bar for the local community of truckers, bikers, farmers, and ranchers. Lots of neon signs for Coors, Bud, Miller, and the like. None of the good beer to be found so I just ordered the piss water. Kelle ordered a blt and I a suggage on a roll. The salid gave the place away a second time as it was just some greens, bits of tomato, and some slivers of cheese.
One of the patrons, and elderly woman, put it like this as she was talking with the waitress: «The food is awful, but I come here for you dear.»
