After being in Oregon with all the awesome availability of great coffee, this place was very good to have. It was easy to get to off of HWY5. I had a sugar-free iced mocha and my daughter had a White Chocolate Frappé… From what I seen, they used Ghirradeli(sp?) chocolate in hers – Yummy.

Coffee was good. Apparently they have sandwiches and salads, however no menu or anything showing that they do. Good luck finding out what they do have. However if you want coffee it pretty good

Enjoyed this place very much. The coffee drinks were very good. Loved the scones. Not fond of chain coffee stores, so we often have trouble finding good coffee on the road — this was convenient, comfortable, quick and tasty.

Cool small town coffee shop, and a welcome stopping point along I-5 in what would otherwise be a void of good coffee and food in central California. The service was pretty good. Baristas were young and a bit quiet, pleasant but not exactly warm and welcoming. It felt like they were doing a job and not necessarily passionate about coffee or working in a coffee shop. My latte was decent as well. The espresso shots tasted a bit funny. They weren’t burnt but the flavor of the beans was different than most. Not sure if their beans are local or from a major roaster. Might be worth exploring additional roasters, especially micro-roasters, and various coffee flavors. Their almond croissant was fantastic. It went well with the latte also. Overall a cool little place to stop in and visit. Seems to be plenty of seating with lots of well done local photography. Definitely worth a visit if passing thru town and likely a local favorite.

I passed by Dutch Bros to try this place, and I wasn’t disappointed. I had a caramel machiatto. It was delicious. The only thing was(perhaps a small thing), the man behind the counter did not greet me when I came in and seemed to be in a bad mood. Maybe he was just having a bad day…

Love this local coffee shop with attentive wait staff and area photos on the walls. The vibe is relaxing and easy with Woodland folks meeting friends there for a chat. Commendations also to the clean restroom! My only dilemma is that as a tea drinker, it is difficult to fork over $ 2.75 for hot water and a tea bag!

I went to common grounds today for the first time, I ordered a Carmel Machiato and a warm Blt with pesto sandwich from Nate Garza. And let me tell you, it was the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. Don’t really like expresso but Nate recommend a Carmel Macchiato and it was really good.

I’ve been a regular at Common Grounds for a while. Their espresso is very good and that’s what counts most at a coffeehouse. The selection of pastries and bagels is wide. The bagels are the good kind(plump and very tasty). The pastries are… meh. Too«cake-y», not enough fruit in them. ALTHOUGH the apple muffin(has sunflower seeds on top) is healthy and yummy. The staff at Common grounds are just delightful — Nate and Gloria are right on it when I order, so friendly, and Gloria definitely has the skill it takes to make an excellent espresso drink. I’d love it if CG was open later. Could use more seating. The building is really beautiful — check out the windows and the steampunk ceiling fans. Music would enhance the atmosphere — let’s hear some Patsy Cline, some Tony Bennett, some cool stuff… Billie Holiday. All in all, I’d give CG4 ½ stars if I could. I’m sure glad they’re in Woodland.

Small and very relaxing café. Inside you will find the walls decked with local art and historical photos. There are couches, chairs, and tables for those that just want to enjoy their coffee in comfort or take a study power hour. People are super super nice here. Definitely a place I would be interested to work at. Coffee was great as well. A bit on the sweeter side so my boyfriend who isn’t a coffee drinker liked it too

Note to Jury Duty folks. You can walk over and grad some good coffee and head back to the Courthouse(even though they say no food/drinks)! It’s definitely worth the walk and only takes 5 — 10 minutes. Now the review. I love that this place is local. Their coffees are good and they had a nice selection of fun concoctions and flavors. The staff is really friendly. Their pastries are AMAZING! This place was probably the highlight of my 2 days at the courthouse.

I go here once in awhile and I always like their coffee. This is a small quaint place and not busy, so you get your coffee quick. They have a few pastries to choose from too. The personnel are friendly and nice. The only thing that I don’t care for is that they let homeless people sit and sleep on the couches and chairs that are meant for customers. There was a family of 2 adults and 3 young kids sleeping in the chairs and couch. The kids were noisy and disruptive. They were just sleeping and charging their cell phones. Not eating or drinking coffee. I sure wish they owner or manager would have asked them to leave. I was here for 2 hours eating, reading, and drinking coffee, Many other customers were also disappointed that they couldn’t sit there either. :-(

Amazing service– when I wasn’t a fan of their drip coffee choices, Nate immediately offered to do a pour over of a lighter roast. I requested my bagel be toasted, and then had the butter melted. Coffee is delicious and service was friendly.

Easily the best coffee shop in the area, although that’s not saying much. They now have good(but expensive) sandwiches(even a pretty good simple veggie, although I’m not a fan of the optional pesto), the brewed coffee varies, and they changed suppliers awhile back(worse coffee, sadly, although I heard the espresso was improved? idk tho, I hadn’t tried that), and the pastries are quite good. Folks are nice, new layout is good, wifi works fine. I can’t speak to their fancier drinks(mocha, latte, etc) as I’m a drip fan. Last few times I tried their new drip it was worse than Nugget… unfortunate. But, still, the best coffee shop in Woodland.

I had the worst customer service ever! I’m not going to lie. This is my first time ever writing a review and I must say. The girl attending me and my bf. Had the worst attitude ever. She was very unapproachable and had no sense of humor… It was our first time visiting. I even told her it was our first time. She didn’t recommended anything. She was just waiting for us to order quick. How can you have a coffee shop with such a boring and almost mean person. She also didn’t add extra whip how I wanted. And had my coffee sitting for around 10 minutes. I also seen other folks complaining about the lack of customer service this gal had. Just sad to say… But if your looking for a great atmosphere this is not the place to be hanging around. #nastywhitemocha

Eh. Milk to espresso ratio was way off. Service wasn’t great either. 2 hour Street parking and 2 hour table service.

Came in while my g/f is at Jury Duty. Very friendly people with good coffee. its kinda warm inside, but I also hate the temp at 60 below. They seem to have a lot of regulars, Before the people are done ordering, their coffee or tea was on the counter waiting to be picked up. I get a kick out of the 7 older guys sharing stories. What a fun place.

Great local coffee place. All are welcome — comfy seating wood floors high ceilings with fans. Owned by the same people who have the common grounds shop in Davis. Better coffee than Starbucks. Only two issues: they need to be open later! It can’t be a neighborhood hangout if it closes at 6. And they need MOREFOODOPTIONS. Sometimes you need more than a biscotti or croissant.

I love the big & quaint interior. The floor is smooth and polished and there are rotating fans to keep you cool while sipping on a warm cup of coffee. The barista recommended the butter caramel latte and it was so delicious to the last drop. The medium seemed quite generous and the baristas were very kind. Common Grounds makes the drive to DT Woodland worth it.
