Baker’s Delights

They makes wonderful cakes at a very reasonable price! We love the fruit basket cake they make, and my wife loves all the baking supplies they have available.

Mary Ann at Baker’s Delights has been making my son’s birthday cakes since 2003. My son and his friends have always been delighted and impressed with her cakes. She is honest and courteous and her cakes are as good a value as a supermarket cake (which do not make their cakes from scratch either) with much more creativity in design. Mary Ann will artfully recreate any copyright-​free design. When I have wanted a copyrighted design, she has rented me her cake pan and given me detailed instructions on how to do it successfully. Woodland is lucky to have Baker’s Delights as a resource.

I used to work at Food-​4-​less and occasionally this woman would come through my line with 20 boxes of Betty Crocker Cake Mix. Every time she would pay with a check. What was the name on the check you ask, none other but Baker’s Delights. I always thought it was funny, and I never said anything to her but now I wish I had.
I don’t know about you, but when I get an impression of a «bakery» I imagine overly priced cakes, you don’t mind spending that extra dollar on because they’re made from scratch. NOT something you buy in the grocery store and make at your own house by simply adding water, eggs and oil.
I’ve been in this place a few times (many years ago) and they did have items you can buy for decorating cakes and such and I remember it being one of the cheaper places in Woodland, but of course that must be because she buys her cake mix from Food-​4-​Less.
