West Coast Cuts & Colors

Hours are posted as 10:00 — 7:00 today. Got there at 10:15 and the doors were locked, lights were out, and not a person in sight. There’s no excuse for this, especially given that today was an absolutely miserable day to be out.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. Love coming here Cami is the best. Just get the color down every time. Heidi is just so sweet and creative these girls minds together gets an awesome style every time. This is my 4^th time here, I waited to post cause I wanted to really see if things would change. It’s only been positive every time. They are fun and just feel what your telling them your looking for in a style. I had my 1^st painless lip and brow wax today as well. Did I say how awesome this place is.

I loooooooooove this place. I’ve gotten my hair cut and colored here by Cami and Heidi and they’re awesome.
The first time I came here was with a Groupon for a deep conditioning and cut but I think the girl that did it is gone now.
The second cut I got was from Cami and she did an amazing job. She really takes the time to get a good consultation with the client and she loves pictures! I have really bad wrists and it’s difficult for me to brush my hair when it’s wet and she was able to cut my hair in a way that would make things easier for me. My head felt so light after that cut.
I went in about two days ago for a color and cut by Cami and she exceeded my expectations. I brought in my picture, went through a consultation, and she even gave me an estimate of how much everything would cost. They ask if you have a budget and they work around what you want for the price. Great for a working student like me!
Cami brought a color book so I could choose my base color and then explained the products she was going to use which was a bunch of Olaplex stuff. I pretty much took up her entire shift but she was able to help out other clients as well while my products needed to stay in my hair.
This place is no frou frou salon where all the stylists wear black and there’s weird music playing in the background. Since I’ve basically been in the place with Cami and Heidi, I’ve had fun! Haha. The music is epic (Pandora shuffle from the Brave soundtrack to Journey), the people that work there are down to earth and their clients are cool too!
This is definitely my go-​to place for my hair and trust me, you won’t be disappointed here!
BTW, they only do walk ins. You go in, they greet you, let you know if anyone is in front of you and sign in. They keep track of you by your phone number and they make notes of the colors and produces they used as well as what kind of haircut you’ve had. They’re located in the shopping center where Ralph’s is so there’s always plenty of parking and Starbucks and Subway are next door if you have a short wait.

Heidi is the best hairstylist she’s like a hair goddess! She knows what she’s doing. I’ve been everywhere looking and looking for a amazing hairstylist and I finally found her… yay! I went to see her again yesterday and my hair was so dry and dead it looked like a bad wig! She offered me an amazing treatment called olaplex and my hair feels amazing so soft and bouncy that treatment brought life back in my hair! After the cut and treatment I was the happiest girl in the world loving my hair! Thank you Heidi!

It’s my second time coming here for a cut and layers and I’m one happy camper! Not only is the price great but the stylists are awesome. The girl who did my hair is Cami and she is great. I mostly just throw my long hair up in a ponytail or bun but I’m going to try and hold off cuz it looks good for once. They’ve got good music and a good vibe so if u want to feel pretty without spending a ton of money check this place out:)

Cami gave me my dream cut! I’ve had hair down to my waist for about 3 years now and it was time for a change. She was so meticulous and patient and I felt so well taken-​care-​of. Best experience I could’ve hoped for doing such a radical change. It is now chin length and I totally look like Julianne Hough! #goalhair
The color is like spun gold, the texture is luxurious, and it’s exactly what I had pictured. Thank you Cami, you are the best!!!

First off my $ 20 men’s haircut was fair at best. The stylist, and that term is loosely used since her skills were lacking, did not know how to handle my cowlicks so she left the hair longer than it should have been and what I requested. She was a very pleasant woman and well intentioned but just not skilled. And to add insult to injury, they don’t take reservations so I had to wait an hour. If the haircut had been very good, then an hour wait might have been tolerable, but since the haircut was less than fair, a C-​/​D+, then obviously the wait was completely unacceptable.

I decided it was time to chop off my long hair for a simple new cut, nothing fancy. I knew Heidi as a friend and decided to give her a try. What she delivered was beyond what I expected. She knew exactly what would and wouldn’t work with my hair and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Heidi was thorough and didn’t let a single detail go unnoticed. I was done in 20 minutes and started getting compliments as soon as I walked out the door. Highly recommend this clean, up-​to-​date salon and the friendly staff, especially Heidi. Prices are also reasonable. I’m going back soon for another new look. I’ve found my place!

Really great place for a cut. Not like other «cookie cutter» places that make everyone look the same. They ask you first and during the cut how you like it, and they play some cool music too. I’ll be coming back.

Heidi has been doing my hair and my husband’s hair for years and we both love her. I go in every six weeks for a cut, color and highlight. She always listens to me and gets what I’m talking about. My husband is very particular about his fade and Heidi nails it every time.

I found this place while driving by and had my doubts. So I checked them out on Unilocal and saw the five stars. Well, Cami deserves every one of those stars. I hope I spelled your name right, Cami. I love, love, love my haircut and I am very, very picky. I’ve been looking for a good hairstylist for years, jumping from one to another. I think I found my home. And I can’t believe the price. I thought it would cost a fortune, but no, it’s very reasonable.
Thank you, Cami, you’re the best. So funny, too.

Stopped in here on a bit of fluke the day after Christmas. No Groupons or special deals :) I was told to sign in and that it would be about 20 – 30 minute wait. It ended up being just a bit longer because someone who had signed in earlier and left came back. But no worries! I like the setup for signing in and NOT having to wait an hour, but being able to leave and come back.
Miya had a handful with me because i was ready for a change but not really sure what I wanted. Cut and color was about as far as I’d gone in deciding. She spent a fair amount of time with me figuring out the highlights that I wanted and then set to work. She did an amazing job with both the highlights and the cut! Oh and my eyebrows too!
I loved the music playing in the shop because it was a little more rock and roll and not so much time for bed like a lot of salons. Everyone was super friendly.
I didn’t get quite as much blonde in the highlights as I wanted but that is 100% on me for being indecisive and when I get ready to get them redone I’ll be going back and know I’ll get it right next time!
The bonus was finding out later that Heidi is actually my friend on Facebook! I had no idea! Small world it is and small enough that going to Woodland Hills for hair care is totally doable!

I got a haircut, highlights, and blow dry by Channie. I’m happy with her work because she pretty much gave me exactly what I wanted.

Heidi is amazing! !! I wish that I could give 10 stars. I saw a review and pics of a super cute haircut on Unilocal that she had done. Long story short… I went there after work and Heidi did not disappoint. I am over the moon with my new cut. It’s awesome. I am so happy with the results. Also, Heidi was super sweet and knowledgeable about hair. She gave me some pointers on how to care for my hair. I can’t say enough about her. I was extremely pleased with this experience. Thanks again Heidi, you’re the best.

I used a Groupon to get a haircut, blowdry AND highlights put in, and it was an awesome deal and experience! I never had highlights before and was actually considering of throwing in a deep conditioning treatment but Channie recommended the toner for the same price and I could go back in a week or so to get the deep conditioning done. I absolutely adore my new ‘do and everyone loves it too!

This is the first review I’ve EVER written on Unilocal,so I was clearly blown away by the service here at West Coast Cuts & Colors!
Being a college student, I needed a salon that fit my budget. After some research I settled on this place, and this morning strolled in not knowing what to expect.
I was seen immediately (and I mean immediately), and escorted back to the shampoo station where I received a relaxing wash. Upon being seated, my stylist asked what I was in for today. I showed her a picture of what i was looking for (a blunt, shoulder length bob). I was a little worried that she would just cut off my hair in one fell swoop, seeing as I’ve received that kind of haircut before. However, she asked me questions like what my natural texture is, how I style my hair, etc. before she began cutting.
As she began snipping, she explained to me how she was giving me something called an «undercut» on my bottom layers, to prevent my hair from flipping up as it dried naturally. I’ve had dozens of haircuts and NO ONE has ever done that before! I had gotten so used to dealing with my cowlicks that I didn’t even know there was a solution.
The cut itself lasted about 15 minutes, as my stylist was efficient but thorough. The shampoo and cut was $ 20; I could barely believe my eyes as I saw the receipt! So affordable!
I left the salon with wet hair loving my cut. Now that it’s been a few hours and it’s air-​dried, I can safely say this is one of the best haircuts I’ve ever received.
My one regret? I didn’t get my stylist’s name! But let’s be honest; if that’s the ONE thing I regret about my hair cutting experience, West Coast Cuts & Colors must have done a pretty amazing job.

Shawnee made my hair look better than it has in years!
I was running errands and picking up the kids, this salon was in the same area so I decided to pop in. It had been well over a year since my last haircut. I am so glad I did!
First impression, excellent. The salon is clean and carries my favorite hair products. I was greeted immediately in a friendly manner and asked, not told, to sign in. I’m not sure why this stuck with me but it did. I waited less than 5 minutes to be seen.
The cut, wonderful! Shawnee sat me down, looked at the damage I had done to myself, joked with me and made me feel like an old friend. I got my shampoo, my cut, and my style all while enjoying some genuinely friendly and fun conversation. When she handed me the mirror after I could have cried, she made the best of my hairs texture, and gave me a cut that flatters my face and makes me feel way younger than 40, without being too young of a cut for my age.
Thanks to Shawnee I bounced out of there feeling better about myself than I have in quite some time. A good haircut can change how people see you, a great one can change how you see yourself. Shawnee gave me that gift.
I am so glad I decided to pop in!

Heidi is amazing! I used to spend $ 100 or more on hair cuts that weren’t thrilling, until I got a recommendation to go see Heidi. SO glad I did. I won’t go anywhere else now. She’s very talented and down to earth. She’s also a huge animal lover, which has nothing to do with her ability to cut hair, but just makes me like her more as a person. =)
If she ever leaves, I will hunt her down. Not joking.
