not bad hotdogs(got the Carolina slaw dog) BUT found a huge HAIRINMYFOOD! not that that can’t happen anywhere but this was my first time eating here. I wasn’t overly impressed with the whole experience. I probably wouldn’t come back — I was just in a hurry. also my food was on the cold side.(the actual hotdog and chili itself were not hot or warm)

La street dog was really good! I haven’t had a hot dog in so long but always at the village so I tried it out & it was amazing! They have other unique options, milkshakes, floats, burgers! I’ll def be back to check out more items!

I was really excited to try this place. Had a huge craving for a good hot dog and read good reviews which encouraged me to come. The restaurant is small, lovely on the outside. There is no hostess service, you have to order in front then sit. They seem to have a solid selection of beers. The new Belgium tangerine IPA I had did not even have a hint of tangerine, was flat, just OK. The hostess taking orders seemed very new so I can’t hold anything against her. She was doing her best but didn’t know much about the food or drink. We ordered the LA dog, fuh get about it, beer, fries, and tater tots. The food: — fuh get about it: the olive garlic spread was wayyy too much and the garlic was very overpowering. To top it off, they put pickled cherry peppers that continued to ruin the flavor. The spicy polish sausage was not spicy and was very tiny in size. –LA Dog: better tasting than the one above. Veggies were good. Could not even find the bacon or taste it. I think they left it off. –tater tots: not fully cooked, not golden, not tasty, fell apart when grasped or forked. — seasoned fries: probably the best thing here. Crispy and seasoning is tasty. Overall, would not come back. Rather go get a hot dog from The Stand or Costco.

Deliciousness!!! We tried the chili cheese fries and garlic fries… both were great but we preferred the chili fries. I had the la street dog and my hubs had the c4 and we loved it… sooo delish! The staff was super friendly! Unfortunately I don’t remember their young man who was absolutely sweet but he was tall and thin! But their cooks were even super friendly! We will be back for sure!

I really, really want to like Slaw Dogs. I remember when I used to pass the store on Ventura Blvd. and had interest. There was no parking so they wisely moved to the pay-after-an-hour-for-parking Village mall south of Topanga. I’ve eaten here a few times and tried several items. My favorite item so far is the chili fries. But it’s fairly standard chili fries fare. I’ve also had the burger, curry putine and kimchi sweet potato fries. Everything was just kind of mediocre or odd tasting. I like the idea of non-traditional fast food but it doesn’t quite work. I’ve had trouble ordering because I like some of the ingredients but not others. The patio is lovely unless it’s super windy, hot or sunny. OK, we’re spoiled. I’m not done on the Dogs.

I am happy to have a hot dog/Burger establishment worth eating at in the Village. Slaw Dogs is located near 24-hour fitness and is a store located in the middle of the walkway. They have only patio seating but do not let that stop you from coming to try their delicious hot dogs. I came here with a friend one Sunday afternoon and enjoyed some sun while chowing down and drinking a Beer. They have a unique collection of hot dogs to choose from and ended up ordering: Vienna 100 All Beef Dog, LA Street Dog, and fries. Food: My favorite hot dog was the Vienna 100 all beef dog. It had an excellent snap to the hot dog and was just a classic. The LA street dog was good but did not go well with the hot weather outside. Both dogs with great quality and it is pretty tough to find a good hot dog joint. Yeah, you can get $ 1.50 hot dogs at Costco but the Hot Dogs at Slaw Dogs are a major step up from the rest! The fries were typical fries you would find at a type of restaurant like Slaw dogs. I think the patio setting with the hot dog & brew really complimented each other. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. It’s funny that the smaller restaurants are overall better then all the upscale restaurants. Great customer service, nice chilling atmosphere, and great dogs summarize Slaw Dogs. I believe 4 out of 5 stars is well deserved. O, before i forget, they have a awesome $ 5 for $ 10 deal that awesome!!! Thanks for reading my review! :D

It’s alright*. Nothing special, but worth visiting if you need a quick, inexpensive bite in the Village. *Full disclosure I had a burger instead of a dog.

Good gourmet dogs. Patio seating only, tho, which is tough in SF Valley’s hot summers. Super friendly cashier(who I would guess is the proprietor). I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I thought the dogs were a little expensive. But the setting is upscale and, again, the service was outstanding. And the choices for topping and styles was impressive, even for this hot dog snob.

Super friendly and helpful, the service overall was as good as could be. The food was awesome as well, had the fuh-get-about-it with fries and a cream soda. Will definitely return.

I LOVE Slaw Dogs!!! Ray, the owner, is one of the nicest people I know. He’s constantly making connections with the people who eat at the kiosk. The food is always on point, and the staff is super friendly. They also have fun events around the holidays. My favorite thing to eat here is the garlic fries with garlic mayo. I’ve only had a couple dogs here, but they were great, and the burgers look delicious. The only complaint I have is the gluten free bun leaves a lot to be desired. It’s dry and heavy. I have Celiac, so if I want bread, it has to be gluten free. I’m totally all about eating a dog without the bun though. They’re that amazing! I’m looking forward to getting the Fuh Get About It dog. That’s next on my list. I genuinely recommend Slaw Dogs to everyone!

(+) Excellent customer service, staff was very friendly & helpful (+) Diversity and creativity of the menu, plus ALLDAY breakfast (+) Discovered how delicious peanut butter is with sweet potato fries(they were out of banana so they subbed those) on the PBBJ (+) Unilocal deal, appreciate the love (-/+) Patio seating can be a little tight when its crowded, but it’s prime people watching real estate

Service: Friendly staff Location/Décor: Nicely decorated outdoor kiosk with a small patio Menu: Overall a playful, unique menu with interesting moderately priced options. There’s also a great Unilocal deal currently! Fries: I was at the mall looking for a quick snack and was extremely excited to try the curry poutine fries here. I really wanted to love the fries but was disappointed. The fries, onions, and mozzarella stick pieces were fine but the sauce lacked that curry flavor I was looking for. I kept eating trying to get myself to love the dish, but didn’t quite there. However, the food was a great portion for the price and served hot. Based on the other Unilocal reviews, looks like the other items are very good and crowd pleasers and next time I’m back I’d probably stop by and try some of them!

Such a pleasant experience at Slaw Dogs. — Fresh, tasty Dogs — Good customer service — Affordable — Cute patio concept I ordered a street dog with crispy melted cheddar cheese on my buns as recommended by the cook, soo delicious! The customer service is outstanding. The cashier and cook were both friendly and attentive. Definitely a very welcoming place to grab a bite, hang out and people watch.

I came here today with my girlfriend to try it out. I always walk by this place when I go to the gym and there are always people enjoying their food. I ordered the street dog — as soon as I ordered, the chef came out and recommend that I try it with fried cheese on the bun. I thought this was interesting, and I agreed. WELLDONE, it was very tasty. Apparently, the chef here likes to modify some of the items on the menu and add his own touch to things. Keep it up! I also had chili cheese fries, which wasnt bad. I probably wouldnt go for the chili fries again, they weren’t anything too special. I enjoyed the streetdog more. The atmosphere here is great. Its outdoor seating, so you have a great view of the area. You can enjoy your food and people watch. Overall I would like to come back, there are so many different choices and I’d like to try them!

Fantastic burger and curry poutine fries! They have some adventurous menu items as well as the staples if you’re more of «plain eater». Also has an impressive list of dogs, vegetarian & vegan options and beer. Great place for a quick bite while sitting outside people watching. Now that the weather is getting better I look forward to coming back soon!

Overall this place is pretty good. It’s almost on the equivalent to dog haus. They are very similar. I recommend the Thai Slaw Dog. The slaw is seasoned perfectly. I have also gotten the ktown popcorn chicken. It wasn’t too great, it was too salty for me. But other than that most of their hot dogs are very appetizing. Next time I would love to try their shakes.

Dope little food stand in the middle of the village. Serving fire hit dawgs fries burgers and much more. I ordered the La street dog with kimchi fries. Good was great got a free water cup. Sat next to he register I think only 2 – 3 people work here and it was busy but the guy at the cash register gave everyone such amazing service and was so polite I couldn’t help but notice. It’s a little stand so I wouldn’t expect food to be brought to you and your drink filled by the guy who is also taking orders asking people if they needed any sauces or anything idk dude just did his job super well yesterday to the point I had to hit Unilocal to holla. I’ll be back

So, today I went to Slaw Dogs for a second visit and man… It was great! This little food restaurant/kiosk in the middle of The Village is a great spot for food. One of the more fair priced places, you can definitely get your grub on and be full without spending more than $ 10. Their breakfast burrito and a regular slaw dog were both purchased upon my first visit. The breakfast burrito was simple and fair, while the dog was awesome. Today, I purchased the pork belly breakfast burrito and substituted the bacon for hash browns. It was great! Their homemade chili and salsa are also included. I used some tobasco and that thing was primo! If you’re looking for a place that is great for lunch of a quick meal, go here. Note: They also have some great wines and beers that I have yet to try, but they are smaller label specialty beers and wines and look like a must-try for my next visit.

Love the outdoor patio and the vibe here. They have a great deal on Unilocal and no one had a problem that I used it. Everyone working here makes sure to get your food out quick and the place cleaned up. We were asked a few times if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. :) I love a place that is concerned about their customers. I enjoyed a peanut butter shake along with some fries. The shake wasn’t as thick as I liked but definitely happy it tasted like peanut butter. If you want a quick meal under 10 bucks here at the Village this is your place to come!

The Flatbush Dog was so good! It was so good that it took the edge off my livid anger of Dave Matthews Band being blasted on the stereo system by the Village. Come on, man, I’m trying to eat here! If you are a fan of savory and sauerkraut, give this a try. Came here on my lunch break and loved it. I’m definitely getting the Unilocal deal so I can come back and have the burger and a beer!

I really had high hopes for this place. Such raving reviews on the Unilocalverse I was willing to give this place a shot. Its one of the tiny shops that line the center of the village close to the 24 hour fitness. You order by the window and have plenty of seating options and once your food is ready they will bring it out. I ordered the Chicago dog which comes with green relish, celery salt, sports peppers, pickle spears and yellow mustard. My friend ordered the Carolina Slaw Dog. I wasn’t too impressed with my hot dog, it tasted good but the flavors just kind of mushed together and overall was a bit of a disappointment. My friend said his was delicious and that he would order it again, so maybe next time I should order that. I also got an order of the Curry Poutine fries and those were the biggest disappointment. The curry was a bit flavorless and just kind of sat on the fries. The fried cheese curds were just in fact mozzarella sticks cut up. The picked onions ontop were delicious though… So –1 star for this. I will for sure give this place another shot since my friend was a bit more enthused with his choice. I shall update when I have tried.

I’ve come here a few times and always have exceptional service. Today was the best experience thus far. I am a vegetarian and ordered the C4 Super Dog with no pastrami and with the veggie dog. I missed that there was chili on the dog and the cashier was kind of enough to point that out to me and offer me a comparable solution so I did not miss out on flavor. The food is delicious here and I would definitely recommend anyone to eat here! I work in the Village and I think this might become my new lunch spot.

Are you kidding me?! A quick and inexpensive meal is not typically this good. I ordered a dog called«fuh get about it» and it was exactly the flavors I was hoping for. Have you ever had balsamic on a polish dog? SOGOOD! The staff was really sweet, efficient, and made it feel like a real dining experience rather than a fast bite. P. s. Do yourself a favor and dip your fries in homemade garlic mayo. You can thank me later.

Ate here during my lunch break yesterday. I purchased the $ 5 for $ 10 Unilocal deal, which was probably the best part. So spend $ 5, and you can get $ 10 worth of food. Food was pretty good, I just ordered a single patty SD Burger with a fried egg. I asked for no pickles, but they still added them. The fried egg also wasn’t fully cooked, it was more like a sunny side up egg. When I opened the box, the egg was super runny and made the burger a little soggy. Not quite what I was expecting. But a burger + fries for only $ 5? Not bad. Employees were okay. I didn’t really get an initial friendly or welcoming vibe though. Kind of just a take your order and leave type atmosphere. They don’t have any sauces out for you to grab, and they don’t really ask if you want any during the transaction, so you may want to double check your bag and ask the cashier for some before you leave. I’d probably come back because of the Unilocal deal, but for the most part, it wasn’t as amazing as I thought it would be.

I love that Slaw Dogs is so accommodating in letting you customize your dogs if you prefer chicken or vegetarian. There’s plenty of parmesan on their garlic fries, but I wouldn’t mind more garlic. The Korean popcorn chicken is a must try for anyone that likes kimchi. I’m glad Slaw Dogs found a home to serve their delicious and affordable food at the Village

Great to see the return of Slaw Dogs to the valley scene. The Westfield Village was sorely missing a casual eatery, and Slaw Dogs fits the bill with style. Had their SD Burger(ribeye blend pattie), K-Town popcorn chicken, the Coffee Stout soft-serve float, and a Radler. Definitely some new menu items that were not around at their other location(s). Each item appears to be a fast food classic, but Slaw Dogs executed then with elegance, subtlety, and a deeper flavor profile than their great prices would let you believe. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and bringing friends.
